No one's P.O.V

(They live separately! Not together!... Yet...)

For three months, Lucy and Natsu have been having nightmares about losing each other. They both wake up in the middle of the night screaming. Lucy getting yelled at by the neighbors, and Natsu getting yelled at by Happy. One day, Lucy comes to the guild as pale as snow and everyone notices.

Natsu's P.O.V

Lucy walked into the guild looking tired and pale. She didn't walk straight and she seemed to be forcing her eyes open. Mira was the first one to ask her.

"Lucy, are you feeling alright?" She asked her.

"I'm fine. Just don't let me fall asleep. Please, don't let me fall asleep." She begged.

"Well, you can spend you day here. I suggest you don't take a job today though. Just hang out with us."

"I'll try." Lucy said, nodding off to sleep. When she noticed, she jerked her head up and looked around for someone. When she saw me, she seemed to relax immensely.

I walked over to her and sat down.

"Have you been sleeping well lately?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Nothing's wrong." She said quickly.

"You're talking to me Lucy. I know when something's wrong with you, you just don't want to tell anyone."

"Honestly, I'm fine." She said, nodding off to sleep again. This time she slept for a good twenty minutes, but then she woke up screaming at the top of her lungs.

Everyone came running up to her, asking her if she was OK.

"I told you not to let me fall asleep! Why'd you let me sleep?!" She said, tears falling from her eyes. I could tell that she didn't like the attention, so I picked her up and carried her out of the guild and back to her apartment.

Once I got inside, I tucked her onto her bed and she fell right asleep. I watched her to see if she was being controlled by anything, but she seemed perfectly fine, until she woke up screaming again. She looked around again and signed in relief when she saw me.

"Why do you keep screaming yourself awake?" I asked.

"It's just a nightmare I've been having for over three months now. It doesn't leave and it feels so real that I wake up screaming." She explains.

"That's been... Happening to me too." I confess.

"What? How? Why? What about?"

"Just a nightmare that feels so real, my body screams its self awake." 

"Um.. Whats are yours about?"

"Loosing the person I care for most, and me standing there hopeless."

"That's exactly what my dreams are. I can't stop them! I just want a peaceful night of sleep, but I'm terrified to sleep because I'm afraid you-" she cuts herself off.

"How am I in your dream?" I mumble.

"In my nightmares, you leave me for a long period of time. I don't know how long, but you leave without a word. Then, when you come back, wounds cover your body. Blood dripping from them all. You walk up to me and say, 'Are you happy now Lucy? You ask me to die, so I did.' I would see a person posing as me, laughing and telling you that my wish has been granted. That you've finally left my life. I would be trapped in a glass box not far behind them. I screamed, hoping you would hear me. I see the fake me pull out a sword to make the final blow, and that's when I wake up screaming. That's all I've been dreaming about for over three months now Natsu! Do you know how much I question myself?! I never believe that I'm good enough to be your friend, but I don't want to loose you either!" She explains as she cries out tears.

"That is exactly my dream, but you are the one leaving me and coming back in wounds, telling me that you died for me. How do you think we can fix this?" I question.

"It's kind of weird, and I normally wouldn't want to do this, but can you stay here tonight?" She asked.

"You want me to sleep with you tonight?!" I questioned, knowing that she must be desperate I she's asking me to do that.

She nods her head as she buries it into her arms.

"I guess we can try that. I'll stay here until we get tired." I said.

All day we just talked and had fun. We took a walk around the park until it got too dark. We got back and Lucy cooked an amazing meal.

Later on, we both finally admitted that we were tired.

"I guess, we should try to get some sleep now." She said, shaking as she walked to her bed.

"Yeah. Let's try and have a peaceful night tonight." I said, hopping into bed next to her. As I begin to fall asleep, Lucy jolts up.

"I can't sleep! I don't wanna sleep! This isn't helping!" She whined.

"Its only been ten minutes. Just take some deep breaths and close your eyes. Just try to get comfy before you force elf asleep." I said, turning on my side to face her. She lies back in bed and tries closing her eyes. A few minutes go by and she eventually falls asleep. Same went for me as well.

I wake up and see that its still dark out. I look over at Lucy, but then realize that she's hugging onto my arm. She was sleeping peacefully though. I lied back down and pulled her closer to me, falling back asleep with a smile on my face.

"Natsu! Natsu! Wake up!" Lucy, shaking me awake.

"Huh? What's wrong?" I said, rubbing my eyes open.

"I actually slept through the night! I didn't wake up screaming! And neither did you, at least that I heard of." She said, jumping up and down on her bed.

"That's amazing! We fixed our problem! This just means that we have to sleep together forever!" I teased. But instead of attacking me, she hugged onto my with tears.

"I don't care anymore! At least you're here and alive!" She said.

"Yeah, so are you." I said, giving her a small kiss on the head, but she didn't react. She just kept holding onto me.

And we stayed together forever after that.

Yeah, I know! Crappy ending, but I was getting writer's block so I just ended it before I just deleted the whole thing. I hope you liked it though!!
