Day 20

No one's P.O.V

10 more days!

10 more days until Lucy's out!

Natsu couldn't wait. He's eaten a little more, but is still choosey. He's been working hard and he's the top of his classes now.

Just these 10, final days were keeping him motivated enough to work hard. Everything he was waiting for would only take

10.

More.

Days.

At the hospital, the doctors got the second expansion in, and now they were securing everything in place as for it to not move or be dislocated. Lucy's breathing became tremendously better.

"S-status report." The main doctor mumbled in a sad expression.

"Heart rate steady at 78. Blood pressure steady." The youngest doctor said; the second doctor had stepped out for their break.

"How many has she lost?"

"Too many to count. And sadly, it appears to only be in one region. Everything else is fine. No pain reactors. No viruses. No anything. The sedative must've made it's way to that one section alone."

"Can we still save them? What's exactly happening?"

"They aren't being destroyed. They're simply becoming numb. Being deactivated, like the sedative does with the human body."

"So, just a reaction to it can reactivate it? So she's still got hope?"

"Luckily. But I don't know what would react them back to activation. I think that's put of our reach."

"Understood. We've got 10 more days. Are you sure that it's right to keep this from Mr. Dragneel until then?" The main doctor asked, pausing to await the answer

"Yes. If we tell him now, he'll just be unstable this whole time, and might even go on a blind rage. It's human nature to do that when you loose something you care deeply about. Trust me on that. I've had both of them as patients before. About a year ago when he had broken his leg and when she was all cut up and bleeding. They both yelled, screamed, kicked, attacked even. They both did that until they got to see each other." The youngest doctor said, holding the arm that Natsu had injected the sedative in, meant for him.

"I see. Well then, let's hope that they're close enough to get through this. I still can't believe that we were this stupid." The main doctor said, returning to her work.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some of you are close!! It's a really easy guess if you THINK about it. It's very common to happen to patients who go through surgery. They hate to REMEMBER what they went through, so they tend to FORGET everything. Sometimes they forget MORE THAN WHAT THEY WANT.
OK! I THINK you get the hint now. You used your BRAIN enough!
(If you still don't get it then............... I have no words for you.)
