Q: Do I need to have a large following to participate in the contest?
A: No, you don't have to. As long as you have your creativity on check, and want to be a part of this community, you are good to go.

Q: Why is a cash prize part of the gifts?
A: This is just a form of encouragement to the writers.

Q: Does this mean you are paying me to write for you?
A: No, you are not being paid to write. A cash prize is just to encourage you to keep up with your craft. Nobody is stealing or taking your work.

Q: How do I submit my story?
A: You can do that by simply uploading it on your page.

Q: How do you know that my story has been registered for the contest?
A: Writers are to make use of the hashtag #NOWC22. You could also tag the community on introduction chapters of your book to also spread the word of your participation.

Q: What if I don't have a lot of reads?
A: Not to worry, your content is what matters to us.

Q: Must the entry story be a New book?
A: We want to grow the Naija base here on Wattpad. So, yes, for this particular contest, new stories are what we are accepting.

Q: Must I follow the Founder and Judges?
A: No, you mustn't. It is a personal choice.

Q: Nigerian Fictions or Nigerian Authors?
A: Nigerian Fictions. You might not be a Nigerian but enjoy writing books with Nigerian Plots. You're welcome to join us.

Q: How do I keep track of my word count?
A: The Bottom right corner of the draft page has the word count displayed to aid you.

Q: What makes up the word count?
A: Chapters that contain vital aspects of the book. Please note that Introduction Chapters, Cast, Author's Note, do not count as Chapters. However, Epilogue and Prologue count as Chapters. An Introduction Chapter can only be considered if it serves the purpose of a Prologue.
