Makoto's POV

I went to sleep a little late last night so I'm speeding to get ready for class. I locked the door before I closed it. I snuck into class but when I sat down in my chair the teacher said " So late again huh, Mr. Naegi?" The teacher turned to look at me and walked over to me and asked " So what was it this time? "My alarm stopped working?" or maybe "I stayed up playing video?" Well Mr. Naegi?" I knew that the teacher didn't really like me this much because this is the 3rd time being late for their class. " I stayed up working on the homework that you assigned-" " Wow that's a new one!" The teacher said interrupting me mid sentence and started to clap and say " We have a new one students." The teacher kept looking at me but that's when some of my classmates started to try to help me. " But teacher, you did give out a lot of homework that was due by the end of the week." Hina said while Mondo started to back her up, " Ya it's not his fault that you teachers give out a lot of damn homework." Take soon stood up and we all thought that he was going to disciple Mondo but said " I mean this in all respect but I saw Makoto in the library at lunch time so he can finish all his other homework before starting yours." I smiled at them as mostly everyone was helping but soon the teacher said " I see. Mr. Naegi." I looked at the teacher and smiled at him but before I could say anything the teacher said " I want you to write me an essay before the end of the week." Everyone was shocked even the people who didn't really try to help like Byakuya but before anyone could say anything when Kyoko said " Really? An essay? It looks like you're trying to harass Makoto." Everyone was staring at the teacher as the teacher looked away and said " Fine." The teacher bent over to him and whispered " If you're late on more time then you're writing the essay and having a trip to the principal's office." I gulp hard as the teacher walked away and continued the lesson.

(time skip)

I was walking to my dorm so I could finish the homework but when I reached into my pocket to get my key but that's when I couldn't feel it. " No no no!" I quietly yelled knowing it was near bed time. I started to panic knowing that I could get in trouble if I'm not in a dorm but soon I heard a voice next to me on my right. " Makoto?" I looked to my right and saw Kyoko looking at me with her poker face but I can tell in her voice and her eyes that she was worried about me. " I-I'm fine Kyoko-I mean Kirigiri I'm just locked out." I looked at my dorm door but that's when Kyoko started to walk to me and said " You can call me by my first name." I knew that Kyoko's dad was the principal of Hope's Peak so I don't really call her Kyoko when she's near or when he's near. " I'll just go to the principal's office and get a new key-" " He's asleep right now." Kyoko said which made me stop mid sentence and made me worry even more. " How about you stay in my room for the night?" Kyoko asked which made me give a surprise look on my face and said " W-What if we get in trouble? Besides a boy and a girl in the same dorm? That isn't allowed-" " The principal will understand." Kyoko said making me again stopping in mid sentence and my face turned red and soon I started to wave my hands around. " B-But...even if the principal is your dad, I'm sure he wouldn't really like the idea of a boy and a girl who is his daughter to be in a soundproof dorm together even for an issue like this. I'll just one of the guys-" That's when Kyoko grabbed my arm and started to drag me into her dorm room and once I got in their she push me against the door locking it and said " I don't care what you do." Kyoko was staring at me like she was a wolf and I was the food. " K-Kirigiri-" " Same my name." Kyoko said while getting close to me interrupting. She was so close that I had to hold in my breath but I gave a quick nod as she started to move back and I said " K-Kyoko why are you doing this?" Kyoko kept staring at me and said " I'm trying to do what Junko told me to do." I knew that Junko was kinda behind this and I looked away from Kyoko while saying " I'm sure that Junko was joking about what you're trying to do and I don't really-" When I finally looked back at Kyoko I saw that she was looking surprise and was walking away from me. I saw her covering her mouth and some tears went down her face as I realized that she was crying. " Kyoko! W-Why are you crying?! I know that Junko plays a lot of jokes and pranks but it's fine, I'm not-" " I'm crying because of Junko! I'm crying because you don't feel the same way!" Kyoko yelled interrupting me as I saw her face full of tears as she still kept yelling. " I really like you Makoto! I didn't know how to confess to you so I asked Junko for help and she told me to get with you step by step but now knowing that you don't feel the same way I-I..." She finally stopped shouting and fell to the ground and I slowly walked up to her and asked " W-When did you start to like me?" Kyoko still didn't look up from me and said " You helped me with the same situation." I slowly start to have a flashback about that.

Flashback and it's Kyoko's POV

I was waiting outside my dorm and even though it was Freshman year I forgot my key and I don't want to ask anyone for help not even from my father but soon I heard someone on my left. " Are you okay?" I turned to my left and saw a boy I had never talked to before and he said " Well are you?" I shook my head and he asked " Well why not?" " I forgot my key in my dorm so I can't go to bed and I also left my after gym outfit in there too." I was wearing my gym clothes but soon I felt something going over my shoulders and saw that the boy gave me his jacket and grabbed my arm while saying " I'm taking you to the principal's office." We started to walk to the principal's office and he knocked on the door and I saw my dad and he asked " May I ask why you two are not in your dorms?" He was looking at me and the boy but soon the boy said " She forgot her key and her after gym outfit in her dorm so I came here for your help sir." I kept looking at the boy but soon back to my father and he said " Well why didn't you say sooner." My father walked with us to my dorm as he unlocked it and said " Next time come to me straight away." My father was looking at me but walked away. I gave the boy's jacket back and said " Umm thank you..." I didn't know the boy's name but I saw his face turn pink and said " U-Uh my name is Makoto Naegi. I'm in your class and your new dorm neighbor." Naegi smiled at me as he walked into his dorm as I walked into my own but once I shut the door I started to repeat his name while holding my hand to my heart.

End of flashback and back to Makoto's POV

I didn't know that Kyoko liked me for that long. " I-I'm really sorry Makoto I did that." Kyoko stood up and said " If you want we can try to get the principal and-" " I like you too!" I yelled  interrupting her this time and yelled " I noticed you when we were freshmen. I always found you really pretty, I just didn't know how to tell you." I was looking at Kyoko with my face turning red but her face was turning pink too as she walked over to me and gave me a hug while saying " I'm so happy!" I hugged her back but we still had minds and knew that some of the teachers dose a dorm check so ya.

(time skip and Kyoko's POV)

I was walking with a smile on my face as I heard Junko's voice coming closer to me. " So how did it go?" I looked at her and said " Let's just say there was a lot last night." She kept asking what I meant but soon I saw Makoto walking down the halls looking sleeper then ever.

Long chapter and it's getting late but I need to finish day 5 of Oumeno week so I don't have to worry about it-animedokichan
