I was almost shocked to death by the site in front of me our house had been decorated beautifully Saniya begum and my ammi was sitting in formal clothes with her son Haider. They had kept two rings in front of them.
“Ah..... Nadira you finally reached” Ammi said.
“Aadab” Saniya begum said.
“Aadab” I replied.
“Nadira go and help Sahana get ready for her engagement you also get ready” Ammi said.
“Ammi, can we talk for a second?” I asked.
“You can talk all you want after the function” Ammi said.
“But Ammi......” I was saying but ammi stopped me.
“No more discussion Nadira go and get ready” Ammi said with a pinch of anger in her voice so walked to my room without uttering a single word.

“ONE WEEK! HAVE AMMI TOTALLY LOST IT?” I asked shocked.
“What could have Ammi done anyway Nadira today evening Saniya begum came home and said that her Son have to go to abroad very soon due to some problem there and before that she want her son to get married and she suggested to conduct the engagement today itself and ammi agreed” Zoya appa said. I looked at Sahana’s sad face and instantly felt really bad for her, her face was pale sadness was clearly visible in her eyes.

She was looking really beautiful dressed up for her engagement but at the same time she was not happy and that fact was shown in her eyes and face.
“I won’t let this engagement happen I will talk to Ammi” I said.
Sahana stood up and came towards me she held my hand and said.
“Nadira appa please do something I don’t wanna marry someone else I love Mirza appa please”
She said with tears rolling down her cheeks that were pink due to crying. I hugged her trying my best to stop her crying.
“Nadira appa please do something she was crying since the time she got the news about the wedding” Aisha said worried.
“We will stop this engagement at any cost” Zoya appa said.
“No appa if we try to stop this engagement it will be a huge mess ammi will get insulted in front of everyone it is better we let this engagement happen and then we can talk to ammi after that” Aisha said.
“No Aisha it won’t be good if we break the engagement” Zoya appa said.
“Yes Aisha it is wrong to break an engagement we should talk to ammi before that” I said.
“I want to talk to Mirza” Sahana said and took her phone.
“Keep the phone on speaker” Aisha said.
“Why” Sahana asked and looked at Aisha angrily.

Sahana didn’t like to discuss her private life with anyone and sharing what she talked with Mirza was out of question and asking her to keep the phone on speaker made her angry even though she was crying a second ago.
“Sahana I know how much you hate sharing your personal calls with us but if we hear what he says we can help you” Zoya appa said.
“OK appa if you say so” Sahana said and kept the phone on speaker mode.
“Hello Sahana” We herd Mahira’s voice.
“Mahira where is Mirza?” Sahana asked.
“He is in the washroom, oh wait he has come I will give him the phone” Mahira said.
“Hello Sahana are you fine?” Mirza asked.
“Sahana did you talk to your Ammi” Mahira asked.
“Ammi.....Ammi” Sahana said confused.
“Sahana’s wedding will be conducted next week and she is getting engaged now, but don’t worry we will sort this out” Aisha said.
“WHAT THE HELL” Mahira said.
“Don’t worry we will find a way out please calm down” Zoya appa said.
“Sahana are you OK” Mirza asked.
“I am not OK Mirza I don’t wanna marry him I love you” Sahana said and started crying again.
“Sahana don’t cry please Sahana we will sort this out OK” Mirza said.
“I....I don’t wanna get engaged with someone else” Sahana said.
“Sahana.....” we heard ammi voice. We turned to see Ammi who was looking at us angrily.
“Ammi I don’t wanna get married” Sahana said.
Ammi came forward and gave Sahana a tight slap across her face.
Sahana held her cheeks in pain.
“Ammi.........” Zoya appa called shocked.
“HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU TO STOP THIS LOVE DRAMA ONCE AND FOR ALL” Ammi shouted.
“But ammi I......” Sahana was saying but before she could complete ammi slapped her again.
“Ammi stop it” I said as I went forward and held her hand but she pushed me down.
“Aww.......” I said in pain but no one cared to notice everyone was worried about Sahana more.
“Now you won’t contact that guy until the wedding gets over do you understand” Ammi said as she snatched the phone from Sahana’s hand and threw it. The phone hit the wall and got shattered into pieces.
I have never seen Ammi this angry ever and I was getting really worried about it.
“Now all f you get ready and come down for the function in 10 minutes and if anyone of you tries to create any drama the consequences will be worst” Ammi warned and went away.
Sahana started crying again.

As ammi ordered we all went down and watched the function with pin drop silence. We watched both of them exchange rings with pity. That was when I saw Aisha talking to Haider she typed something in her phone and came back and stood near us.
“Aisha, why the hell were you talking to Haider?” Zoya appa asked.
“I just asked his phone number” Aisha said.
“Why did you do that?” I asked.
“See ammi is not going to agree for breaking this engagement but if we talk to Haider directly and if we convince him to break this engagement out problem will get solved automatically” Aisha said.
“Aisha you are too smart” I said.
“Wow Aisha you rock” Zoya appa said.

“Appa were the hell is this guy?” Aisha asked.
We were waiting for Haider at CCD.
“He will come Aisha just wait” I said.
“I hope he understands our condition” Zoya appa said.
“Hey here he is” Sahana said.
We all looked at the entrance and spotted him.

He came and sat in front of us.
“So why did you guys wanted to meet me” Haider asked.
“Haider we need your help” Aisha said.
“Haider actually Sahana is facing a big problem” Zoya appa said.
“Haider only you can help her” I said.
“Guys, can I talk please?” Sahana asked.
“OK” Aisha said.
“Haider I can’t marry you, I don’t wanna get married Haider ammi is forcing me to get married I have said yes only due to Ammi’s compulsion” Sahana said.
“So....” Haider asked.
“I want you to break this wedding” Sahana said.
“And what if I don’t” Haider asked.
“You can’t force her to get married” Aisha said.
“And who will stop me?” Haider asked.
“Please don’t do this to me” Sahana said.
“Look Sahana I can’t help you in this it will be better if you don’t think about breaking this wedding and concentrate on looking beautiful on your wedding day like a good and decent bride, understand” Haider said.
“But....” Sahana was saying but Haider stopped her.
“See you at the wedding” Haider said as he stood up and left.
“Such a brat” Aisha said.
