"Grace Augustine is a legend. She's the head of the Avatar Program. She wrote the book, I mean, literally wrote the book on Pandora botany." Norm explained as he, Jake, Max, Jade and y/n entered the lab where the link units were used.

"Well, that's 'cause she likes plants better than people." Max said making y/n snicker but she couldn't blame Grace's way of thinking. After all, she liked animals better than people.

"Here she is, Cinderella back from the ball. Grace, I'd like you to meet Norm Spellman, Jade Valentine, y/n and Jake Sully." Max said as they all approach a ginger middle aged woman smoking a cigarette. She took a puff and removed the protective goggles from her face.

"Norm. Jade. I've heard good things about you. How's your Na'vi?" She asked.

'May the All Mother... smile upon our first meeting.' Norm replied showing off his Na'vi skills.

'May she guide us all to the path of peace and serenity.' Jade said showing off hers.

'Not bad. You both sound a little formal.' Grace said and Norm smiled.

'We've studied for five years... but there is much to learn.'

Grace nodded before turning to y/n with a soft smirk.

'I don't have to ask you about yours, do I?' She asked playfully.

'I'd say my Na'vi is pretty damn sufficient. I did learn from the best but give me strength trying to teach this one.' Y/n chuckled motioning her head towards Jake. She and Grace hugged while everyone watched in surprise.

"The two of you know each other?" Jade asked.

"Sort of." Y/n replied with a shrug.

"Mostly through E-mail. This little lady right here helped me write my book." Grace gestured to y/n making Norm and Jade look at her.

"You helped her write her book?" Norm asked in awe.

"Yeah, but only the animal parts. What's flora without fauna, you know?"

"Why don't you ever tell me this stuff?" Jade huffed with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Because you never ask." Y/n looked at the raven haired girl with a hint of sass.

"So? This benefits the both of us. Of course I wanna know!" Jade exclaimed making y/n roll her eyes.

"Whatever. Grace? This is my little brother Jake." She said as Jake held out his hand.

"Ma'am."

Grace eyes scanned over Jake and it was plain to see that she was unimpressed. Just another idiot with a gun to add to the colonel's collection in her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. I know who you are, and I don't need you. I need your brother." Grace said and Jake lowered his hand. "You know, the PhD who trained for three years for this mission?"

"He's dead." Jake snapped. "I know it's a big inconvenience for everyone."

"How much lab training have you had?" Grace asked.

"I dissected a frog once." Jake replied making Jade look at y/n who was looking at the ceiling for help. He just had to say that, didn't he? It was enough to piss off Grace. She glared at Max with an unappreciated look who wouldn't dare meet her gaze.

"You see? You see? I mean, they're just pissing on us without even the courtesy of calling it rain. I'm going to Selfridge."

"No, Grace, I don't think that's a good idea--" Max panicked trying to stop her but we all know that isn't happening.

"No, man, this is bullshit! I'm gonna kick his corporate butt. He has no business sticking his nose in my department." She yelled before stomping out of the lab.

Everyone in the lab was silent and the only thing that could be heard was Max's exasperated sigh. Jade could be heard commenting 'Remind me not to piss her off' while Norm nodded in agreement, and y/n took this time to have a chat with her baby brother. She stood beside him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Give her time. She'll warm up to you but for now, leave the talking to me. Your ass is up and ready by 8AM tomorrow. And try to use big words." Y/n spoke softly. Jake nodded but the h/c haired female could see the doubt and disappointment in his eyes. She gently nudged him.

"Hey, cheer up. Tomorrow is a big day. Why don't we go get some rest?"

Jake looked up at his older sister and smiled. She returned it before they headed out of the lab with Norm and Jade following behind.

~Time Skip~

Tomorrow finally came and it was finally time to get suited up. Y/n was like a Japanese school girl as she laid in one of the link capsules, smiling like an idiot. She hasn't been this excited since her first taste of chocolate!

"Excited?" Jake asked smirking at his sister.

"Damn straight. This is so cool!" She exclaimed.

Jake rolled his eyes chuckling before rolling over to his capsule to get hooked up. Grace walked over to y/n's capsule and got it up and running. She then turned to y/n and leaned against the capsule with her hand on the lid.

"Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." She said.

"Easier said than done." Y/n replied earning a chuckle from Grace as she closed the lid.

"Relax and let your mind go blank."

Y/n took a deep breath before closing her eyes and letting herself succumb to nothing.

Reader's P.O.V

After going through a wild ride of blinding colors, everything eventually went black. I could hear the sound of someone calling my name echo in my ear. My eyes fluttered open to see a male and female doctor leaning over me.

"Y/n, can you hear me?" The female doctor asked while the male shined a flashlight in my eyes.

"Loud and clear." I groaned feeling a bit drowsy. 

"Pupillary reflex is good." The male doctor said.

I sat up from the gurney I was laying on as the doctors asked how I was feeling and tried to run some tests. Others were doing the same with Jade but I was too enthralled by my new body to care. 

My once s/c skin was now blue with darker shade markings and white spots along my body. My now long toned legs gave me the height far greater than a humans, my tits and ass were bigger than usual, silky snow white locks fell down my shoulders, and unbeknownst to me, my eyes weren't e/c anymore. They were a deep ocean blue. I looked behind me and giggled as my tail moved at my will but then stopped when the sound of glass breaking and things being knocked over caught my attention.

"Uh, y/n?" Jade said.

I looked at her and she simply pointed outside the examination room where my brother, wearing nothing but a hospital gown, was seen running into the courtyard outside with Norm trying to catch him.

"God damn it, Jake!" I ripped off the cables attached to me and ran after him. I ran past two avatar drivers playing one on one and effortlessly past Norm who really needed to work out more (Like I should talk...). As I ran, it soon didn't feel like chasing. It felt like freedom...

My run slowly turned into a sprint but everything felt like slow motion. It felt like I was in tune with the planet and the jungle surrounding the facility. Everything was moving with life, like it had it's own heartbeat and voice to hear. It was calling me and the need to protect it swelled within me BUT I was soon brought out of that stupor after crashing full force into Jake, successfully knocking us both to the ground.  

"Jesus, y/n." Jake groaned in pain. 

"My bad." I groaned back sitting up.  

"Wicked wipe out, you two." A voice said. 

Both Jake and I looked to see a beautiful Na'vi woman walking up to us smiling. 

"Grace?" Jake asked. 

"Well, who'd you expect, numbnuts?" She replied before grabbing two pieces of fruit from a bush and throwing them at us. 

"Think fast." 

We both effortlessly caught them.  

"Motor control's looking good." Grace said and both Jake and I took a bite from the fruit. We both moaned in delight at the taste. It was like heaven on the taste buds. Jade and Norm finally caught up to us. 

"Alright. Boys are at one end to change while you two lovely ladies are coming with me." Grace wrapped her arms around both Jade and I before ushering us into the hut she came out of, leaving the boys on their own.  

~Time Skip~ 

"Come on, everybody, quiet down! Alright, gang, lights out." Grace said while ushering everyone to bed... well, sort of. While everyone was wiring down, Grace, Jade and I were having a little slumber party type thing where we were doing each others hair. Grace was styling, braiding and twisting Jade's hair like her human body's while Jade was weaving beads into mine. 

"Ooo, y/n, who you trying to impress?~" Jake teased making me roll my eyes. 

"Shut up, Jar Head." I smiled.  

"If I lose this bet, I swear to god." Jade muttered but I still heard her. I laughed as she and Grace got up from my bed. 

"Prepare to be my slave.~" I smirked.  

"I wouldn't be so sure about that. I think you're gonna lose, y/n." Grace said which earned her a pretend shock hurt look from me.  

"Grace! How could you?" 

"Life's a bitch ain't it? Okay, kiddies, lights out. See you at dinner time." Grace walked away with a smirk on her face and Jade snickered. I flipped her off before the lights to the hut turned out and everyone went to bed listening to the sounds of the jungle.
