It was decided we had control of our Na'vi selves that we would begin our mission the next day and after a long winded thought through plan, I decided that it would be best if I went to the Na'vi tribe that I was to go to and talk to Jake Sully and hopefully get him to agree to what we were going to do and convince the leaders of his tribe to allow us to live with them. I did not know how long it would take, but I was sure I was determined that nothing would stop me.

I walked over to my machine and connected with my Na'vi self and got prepared and met up with the others at the plane.

"Are you ready N13?" The Commanding Officer of the mission asked me.

"Yes sir," I said.

"Then lets go."

We clambered into the waiting helicopter to take us to the scientific centre and was given a back pack and during the long five hour journey I had a look inside.

I had a map with a cross that said Base, and then a few crosses with different Na'vi tribe names on and a big cross with the name Jake Sully on it.

I had an compass pointing north and a strip of paper said that the arrow and the four main compass points glowed in the dark which would be handy, I thought.

There was a torch with spare batteries and a gun with bullets, in and lots spare, in one side pocket and rationed food to top it up.

"You've all been given rations of food to have so if at any time we get separated, you can survive till hopefully, you get to your chosen tribes. There is a map there so if you, at any time, have to quickly get back to Base or go to one of the other two's tribes, you can make your way there quickly and easily." CO told us.

Suddenly my compass started going haywire, the arrow spinning around, not giving me a fixed reading.

I tried hitting it and shaking it to get it to work, but It wouldn't.

"Sir, my compass is faulty." I said.

The other two checked theirs and said that theirs were too.

"No, they work, we're just going through the legendary Floating Mountains of Pandora." CO grinned.

I looked outside my window and looked at the mountains as we went past.

"But their huge, there's no logical reason for them to be able to." I said.

"At the moment that's true, we're hoping later that we can get a scientific expedition out and find out how they float, but there's predators here, big birds. Most fly away when we get near, but some braver, or stupider ones, try and attack us and the only way to get them to stop is to kill them, and their skin's are almost too hard to pierce." CO said.

"Charming." I grimaced.

"Very."

We loaded our guns and kept them handy just in case of any attacks but there were none thankfully, though there was an bird that did follow us for a while, but I was the only one to see it, cuz no one else saw the turquoise bird flying above us.

Landing down at sunset at the scientific station we had a toured around before setting our Na'vi's to sleep.

Lifting the Dream Machine lid up I grinned climbing out.

Cindy grinned back. "Pandora's amazing isn't it?"

"Better than expected." I replied.

"Better go to bed, you look shattered and tomorrow's gonna be a long day." Cindy said.

I nodded and yawning I walked back to my room and clambered into bed.

*** Time Skip ***

"Alright guys, let's do this!" I shouted getting into the machine and going into my Na'vi and getting up.

"Yeah!" The other two said.

CO walked to us and gave us a speech.
"Alright guys, your on an important mission, an important role to play for the whole of the human race. You only have one shot at this, and if you screw this up, then your in big shit and I cannot save you from anything that happens.

You three have the ability to help us and I am 100% certain that you can handle whatever comes towards you.

Don't forget that here and at Base we have your back and will guide you every step of the way." CO finished.

"Yes Sir." We said.

"Alright then." CO smiled. "Good luck."

We shook hands with each other and wished each other's journey well and began our way to our respective tribes beginning our mission.

*** Time Skip ***

I sighed kicking a tree trunk in anger. I'd got lost about five hours ago and I couldn't read my map, we were charged with staying in our Na'vi bodies till we got to our Na'vi tribes but that didn't make it any easier for me to read my map, or find where I was going.

And it was getting dark. I hated the dark, I heard what seemed to be some Hyenas but was in fact an Jackal and it was following me.

I got out my torch and shone it in it's direction and it ran away. I breathed in relive and carried on, till I heard it..... and another, then another till I must of heard about a hundred.

"Shit!" I swore, I had no defence against them and they didn't look friendly at all.

I decided that my best option was to run away and so I did as fast as I could.

The Jackals ran after me shrieking in delight of the chase.

I ran over bushes and streams trying to get away from them but they kept up behind me, sometimes going faster making me go faster when I tripped over a tree trunk and fell head over heals down the large hill.

I got up and tried to run away but I was surrounded what was I going to do?
