Saari ki saari meri hai tu... tujhko kabhi na main baantu

Seeing Randeep celebrate his birthday with a baby in his arms can be called a coincidence right 🤔
Well, maybe he's just trying to help me, by giving pics for upcoming updates 😊

Title is the song is 'Saari ki saari' from the album of same name by Darshan Raval

Sameer held Naina with an arm around her shoulder as they all waited outside the door at home.

Vishakha wondered aloud, "Abhi tak Ramdhari ne door khola kyon nahi? Aaj cooks nahi aaye kya? Iss time tak toh saara staff aa jaata hai."

Irritated with the wait, Sameer pressed the bell again, keeping his finger on it for a few seconds till Naina smacked his arm, "Sabko disturb ho jayega. So rahe honge."

Vishakha checked her watch, "Vivek aur papa toh kabke uth gaye the. Meri Preeti se bhi baat hui thi subah. Aise kaise..."

Before she could say more, door opened slowly. Seeing no one on the other side, they entered with confusion writ on their faces.

"CONGRATULATIONS!!"

The loud shriek in chorus made all three jump.

Entire family pranced from behind the large door panels, showering colourful confetti on three of them.

"Nainaaaa." Preeti was the first to step ahead and take Naina in a tight hug, "Wow yaar tune toh kamaal kar diya."

Rohan, holding the baby in his arms, grinned at him, "Khush hoja beta. Tere paas ek nahi do do bhai behen aa rahe hain."

Preeti clapped her hands in elation, "Twins. Woh bhi chotu ki hi age ke. Matlab teeno ek saath ghar mein masti karenge."

Vishakha was ecstatic, "Aisa lag raha hai purana time wapas aa gaya jab Sameer aur Rohan chote the."

Preeti wriggled her brows, "Mummy aap ready ho jao. Teeno ko aapne hi sambhalna hai. Baad mein mat kehna aap apni kitty parties aur events miss kar rahi ho."

"Chup karo." Vishakha admonished her, "Mujhe toh hamesha se yehi chahiye the... bachhon se bhara hua ghar. Mujhe nahi pata tha mera yeh sapna itni jaldi poora ho jayega. Tumne aur Naina ne mujhe sach mein dher saari khushiyan de di."

Vivek stepped ahead and planted a kiss on Naina's forehead, "Thank you beta. Tumne itni achhi news di hai ki samajh hi nahi aa raha kaise react karun. I'm so happy."

Vishakha smiled, "Aap chaho toh dance kar lena lekin abhi Naina ko andar toh aane dijiye. Kabse door pe khade hain hum log."

"Oh haan." Preeti moved away sheepishly as others also stepped aside, "Sorry Naina, tere welcome ki preparation poori nahi hui thi isliye door nahi khola."

Naina had just taken one step when nanu's voice made her halt, "Ruko."

Perplexed, everyone turned in the direction of voice.

With a big smile, nanu came over to them, holding a puja thali, "Aise mat dekho tum sab jaise main koi filmon ka villain hun jo keh raha hai 'Yeh shaadi nahi ho sakti'."

He uttered the dialogue in a harsh, throaty voice, making his family split in peals of laughter.

Sameer waved his head, "Nanu, aap kuch bhi ho sakte hain... dost, teacher, therapist, mummy bhi... lekin villain kabhi nahi ho sakte."

With a warm smile nanu stopped in front of them, "Achha achha ab makhhan mat laga. Tera number waise bhi kat gaya hai. Ab toh main apne chaaron pote potiyon ka bada dadu banunga bas."

He stroked Naina's head, paying no attention to Sameer's pout, "Aur apni beti ka nanu."

With a gratified expression, he started to rotate the puja thali in front of her and Sameer, "Tum dono ki khushiyon ko kisi ki nazar na lage. Hamesha aise hi muskurate raho. Ek doosre ka saath umr ke akhiri padaav tak rahe. Tum dono mein aisa hi pyar bana rahe. Aur aane wale bachhe bhi Ayush ki tarah bilkul tumhari parchai hon. Main bhagwan se yehi maangta hun ki ab koi aansu tumhare hisse mein naa aayein." He lovingly swayed the fumes from diya towards Naina.

She started to bend down to touch his feet but he gripped her shoulder, "Nahi beta. Tum jhuko mat. Sammaan sirf iss tarah se ho aisa kahin nahi likha."

Vishakha agreed, "Papa theek keh rahe hain Naina. Ab tumhe apna aur bhi zyada khyal rakhna hai."

Preeti chirped, "Don't worry mummy. Naina ka khyal rakhne ke liye hum sab hain."

Sameer walked Naina to the sofa, while everyone surrounded her. That is when both of them noticed the room. It was filled with balloons. A chart paper on the wall had a beautiful message, though the handwriting was not very skilful

Double the smiles
double the cuddles
most beautiful gifts
come in bundles
Twice the happiness
twice the love
two little blessings
sent from above

Naina felt her eyes turning moist as she read the heartwarming words. Her babies were indeed a blessing... from her parents and naniji.

Sameer fondly smiled, "Likha toh bohot pyara hai par handwriting..." He glanced at Rohan, "...tera hi kaam lagta hai."

Rohan scratched his head, "Main thoda neend mein tha, warna main toh calligraphy expert hun."

Sameer rolled his eyes, "Calligraphy suicide kar le teri baat sunke."

Preeti giggled, "So true."

Naina swatted Sameer's arm, "Effort appreciate karo. Subah subah itna sab kaise manage kiya hoga? Yeh balloons... Preeti, balloons kahan se mangwaye iss time?"

Preeti looked at everyone, pursing her lips, "Umm... hum sab ne milke phulaye."

Ramdhari, who came to the room with tea for them, bobbed his head happily, "Jee Naina bhabhi, Preeti bhabhi ne sabko dus dus gubbarre de diye."

Sameer narrowed his eyes at Ramdhari's excessive lean frame, "Tune bhi dus phulaye? Tujhme itni hawa hai bhi?"

After handing the tea to Naina, he beamed, "Aap hamare dus ki baat kar rahe hain humne toh Rohan bhaiya ke dus bhi phula diye jhat se."

Nanu, Vivek and Preeti together turned to glare at Rohan who looked back at them, at loss of a proper excuse... till the baby squirmed in his arms.

He brightened, "Main... main chotu ko chup kara raha tha. Woh ro raha tha isliye. Warna main hi phulata. Sachhi."

Preeti looked at the baby, "Mere chotu ka jhoota naam mat lagao. Woh toh chup chap soya hua tha."

Nanu scoffed, "Sharam aani chahiye tujhe Rohan. Hum buddhe itni mehnat se apne hisse ke gubbare phula rahe the aur tu itne chote se bachhe ke piche chhup raha hai."

Vivek turned to nanu with narrowed eyes, "Kaun buddha? Aap apni baat kar rahe hain toh kijiye papaji. Main koi buddha wuddha nahi hun."

Nanu eyed him wearily, "Dil ke behlane ko yeh khyal achha hai Ghalib. Bhai, do bachhon ke dada ban chuke ho aur do bachhon ke che mahine mein ban jaoge. Duniya mein kisi se bhi puch lo. Dada, woh bhi chaar bachhon ka, matlab certified buddha."

Before Vivek could retort, Vishakha waved her hand at them, "Offo, aap logon ko toh bas mauka chahiye bhidne ka. Papa, aap aur Vivek bhi kya Sameer Rohan ki tarah shuru ho gaye. Bas ab aur behes nahi. Itna khushi ka mauka hai. Celebrate karne ki jagah jhagda kar rahe hain."

Vivek instantly changed his expression, "Arre jhagad kahan rahe hain hum toh mahaul bana rahe hain. Bachhon ko abhi se practice karani chahiye na ki ek doosre ki taang kaise kheenche. Ussi ka demo de rahe hain."

Preeti chuckled, "Uski aap tension mat lijiye papa. Sameer aur Rohan ke bachhe kaise banenge yeh hum sab jaante hain."

Sameer protested, "Mere bachhe bohot sweet honge. Bilkul Naina ki tarah."

"Aww." Preeti winked at Naina, "Naina se milne ke baad jab unke papa itne sweet ho gaye toh..."

A blush made its way on Naina's face as everyone agreed that Naina had indeed calmed Sameer's temper.

Vishakha affirmed, "Aaj hospital mein dekha maine toh realise kiya Sameer sach mein shaant ho gaya hai. Warna Emergency wing ko sar pe utha leta. Yaad hai Vivek jab aapka sugar badh gaya tha achanak toh isne kitna hungama kiya tha."

Vivek laughed, "Achhe se yaad hai. Doctor ne baad mein mujhse kaha bhi tha ki aapki sugar se zyada uncontrollable toh aapke bete ka BP ho raha tha."

Nanu looked at Sameer tenderly, "Jab insaan ki zindagi mein pyar aata hai toh har ahsaas uss pyar se judd jaata hai. Gusse ki aag apne aap shaant ho jaati hai."

Naina held his hand, "Sameer kahan itna gussa karte hain? Maine toh kabhi nahi dekha."

Rohan did not leave the chance to tease his elder brother, "Aapke saamne impression jamane ke liye control karte karte ab iss state mein pohonche hain bhabhi. Waise kaho toh main bhi demo dun. Ek baar bhabhi ki jagah Naina bolunga aur bhai..."

Sameer's eyes shot at him, his lips pressed in a thin line, "Agar tune ek baar bhi Naina bola toh main... main apne bachhon ko tere paas nahi aane dunga."

Rohan puffed his cheeks, "Kaise nahi aane doge? Jaise chotu tumhari jaan hai yeh dono babies bhi apne chachu ki jaan honge, bilkul Ayush ki tarah. Dekhna, aapse zyada mere saath khelenge."

Nanu let out a winning laugh, "Tum sab office jaana main khelunga sabke saath. Aakhir pardada hun."

Vivek pondered for a while then rubbed his hands gleefully, "Vishakha maine soch liya hai. Ab main bhi papaji ki tarah retirement le lunga. Bas ghar pe bachhon ke saath rahunga."

Nanu raised a brow in amusement, "Office band kar dein?"

Vivek patted Rohan's back, "Office sambhalne ke liye mere dono bete hain na. Deepu ko bhi intern bana denge."

Rohan frowned, "Kyon papa, humein bhi khelna hai apne bachhon ke saath." He looked at Sameer, "Hum bhi retirement le lete hain bhai."

Nanu laughed aloud, "Badhiya. Tum sab ghar baitho main apne bachhon ke saath office chala jaaya karunga."

Rohan chuckled, "Itne chote bachhon ke saath office? Nanu, aap kaisi baat karte ho?"

"Aur tu jo bol raha hai woh sensible hai?" Nanu said with a smug look of having driven his point home, "Tum dono ki retirement ki umr hai?"

Vishakha looked at Naina, "Inka chalta rahega. Tum ab jaake aaram karo. Thodi der mein kuch khane ko bhejti hun."

Instantly, Sameer's attention was on her, "Main leke chalun? Tum thak gayi hogi."

She shook her head, "Main theek hun Sameer. Tiredness nahi hai."

Vishakha softly explained, "Phir bhi beta. Kaafi der se yahan baithi ho. Tumhe toh double aaram karne ki zarurat hai. Jitna ho sake, pairon ko upar rakha karo. Aur haan, din mein do teen baar chote chote naps le liya karo."

Preeti yawned, "Haan Naina, energy preserve kar le. Baad mein bohot zarurat padegi. Main toh ek ke saath hi zombie ban gayi hun... tera kya hoga."

Rohan got up too, "Chotu so gaya hai. Ab tum bhi thodi der so jao."

In their room, Sameer propped two pillows behind her, and fished out two more from the cupboard to place under her ankles as she straightened her legs on the bed.

"Yeh kisne sikhaya tumhe?" Naina was pleasantly surprised.

"Hospital mein dekha tha. Nurse ne aise hi tumhare pairon ke neeche pillows lagaye the." Sitting in front of her, he smoothened her hair.

She held his palm against her face and leaned into it, "Sameer, mujhe ab tak yakeen nahi ho raha. Kya sach mein hamare twin babies hone wale hain?"

He gently placed a hand on her stomach, "Naina, upar baith ke mumma papa bhagwan se roz tumhari sifarish karte honge, ki unki itni pyari beti ko har khushi zyada se zyada mile. Bas. Bhagwan ne unki baat maan li."

Seeing the dampness in her eyes, he quickly added, "Ab dekho na, ussi sifarish ki wajah se duniya ka sabse handsome aur pyar karne wala ladka tumhe mil gaya."

She turned her face and placed a kiss on his palm, a grateful smile adorning her lips, "Yeh sach hai Sameer. Tum duniya ke sabse zyada pyar karne wale husband ho. Mujhe pata hai itna pyar koi kisi se nahi kar sakta jitna tum karte ho mujhse." She paused for a moment, lowering her eyes, then looked back at him, "Jiske paas sab kuch ho usse koi bhi pasand kar lega. Lekin tumne mujhe tab pyar kiya jab mere paas tumhe dene ko kuch nahi tha... na pyar, na rishta, na kisi khushi ki umeed. Meri har kami ko tumhare pyar ne poora kiya. Aaj agar hum yahan tak pohonche hain toh woh sirf aur sirf tumhari wajah se. Agar tumhara saath nahi hota toh main kabhi khud ko unn andheron se nikal ke aage nahi badh paati."

He cupped her face with his other hand, "Tum andheron ke liye bani hi nahi ho Naina. Tumhari yeh aankhen, jinmein main pehle din se khoya hua hun, yeh sirf roshni kar sakti hain. Jahan tum jaati ho kisi na kisi ki life mein ujale bhar leti ho... chahe woh mandir mein mila ek bachha ho, uss pati ke bimar nanu hon jise tumne accept tak nahi kiya tha ya phir ek gusse wala, har nishan ko daag maan ke chillane wala ladka."

She blinked, "Maine nahi, inn sabne meri life mein ujala kiya hai. Woh bachha aaj mera apna beta hai, nanu mere liye sabse anmol ashirwaad hain aur yeh gusse wala ladka..." She pinched his nose, "...yeh mujhe apni jaan se bhi zyada pyara hai."

Sameer scrunched his nose, frowning in fake anger.

A little laugh spurted out of her, "Waise gusse wale toh the tum. Maine neeche tumhara saath diya par gussa maine bhi dekha tha. Bechare parking attendant pe kitna chillaye the jab Ayush admit hua tha. Tum khud valet parking mein bina card liye car chod aaye the aur galti uski nikal rahe the."

He shrugged, "Tab tak tumne baahon mein aa ke mujhe control nahi kiya tha na. Ab dekho, ab thoda bhi gussa nahi karta. Bilkul joru ka ghulam ban gaya hun."

She smiled, "Iska matlab tumhara remote mere paas hai. Kuch bhi karwa sakti hun?"

He flicked his brows, "Kya karwana hai madam? Aap bas hukm karo, banda foran aapki har wish poori kar dega." With mischief dancing in his eyes, he dipped his face towards her lips.

"Uhh." She put one hand on his chest, pushing him back, "Wish abhi batayi kahan hai."

"Toh ab bata do." His hand slipped from her face, his fingers tracing the side of her neck.

She grabbed his wrist, "One track mind. Meri wish toh ice cream khane ki thi."

"Ice cream? Phir se?" He looked at her, aghast, "Tumhe pata hai pichle teen mahine mein tum ek poori factory toh kha chuki hogi ice cream ki."

"Haww. Ab tum mere khane pine ka hisaab rakhoge?" She glared at him.

"Nahi nahi jaan, mera woh matlab nahi tha." Sameer immediately softened, scared of any mood change, "Main keh raha tha ki..."

Her tinkling laughter filled the room, making him stop abruptly. He was absorbed in the way her eyes narrowed, her cheeks pushed up, her nose turned pink and her face warmed up. She placed a finger on the tip of her nose, her head dropping down. Her unbridled laugh always left him mesmerised. There was a shine of contentment in her eyes when she laughed like that... and it made him take pride in himself that he was able to wipe away the painful emptiness from her beautiful eyes and filled them with this sparkle. Dipping his head to the side, he continued to watch her, completely lost.

When Naina finally got a hold on herself, she waved her head, "Mujhe nahi pata tha tum itna darte ho mujhse."

Pulling himself out of the spell, he cleared his throat, "Darr kaun raha hai. Main toh tumhara khyal rakh raha hun. After all, sabse zyada pyar karne wale husband ka award aise hi thodi milega."

Her heart melted, "Aisa koi award hota toh pakka tumhe hi milta."

He grinned, then narrowed his eyes thoughtfully, "Achha Naina, tumne ek baat toh maan li lekin meri doosri baat ke liye kuch nahi bola."

"Kaunsi baat?" She tried to recall if he had asked anything.

"Umm... pyar karne wale ke saath saath maine yeh bhi kaha tha tumhe duniya ka sabse handsome ladka mila hai. Uspe toh tumne kuch kaha hi nahi." He gave her a side glance, raking his fingers through his hair smugly.

She raised one brow, "Ab yeh award milna thoda mushkil hai. Competition bohot hai."

His mouth fell open, "Competition?"

"Of course. Ranbir Kapoor hai na. Usse zyada handsome maine koi nahi dekha." Her eyes had a dreamy look.

"Ran... Ranbir Kapoor? Woh toh actor hai. He's not real." He fumed.

"Real hai. Main unn characters ki baat nahi kar rahi jo woh play karta hai. The real Ranbir Kapoor is a person... and so handsome." She stated matter of factly.

Sameer gritted his teeth, "Jo dikhta hai woh real nahi hai. He is a person par asal mein woh aisa nahi dikhta jaisa screen pe hota hai. Woh sab makeup aur air brushing se bana dete hain. Agar usse saamne se dekhogi toh pata chalega woh kitna average hai."

"Tumne dekha hai saamne se?" She asked calmly.

"Nahi dekha toh kya hua. Mujhe pata hai. Poori makeup team uspe ghanto lagati hai tab jaake aisa dikhta hai. Aur tum sochti ho woh handsome... Naina, woh tumhe handsome kaise lag sakta hai?" The green eyed monster in him was roaring.

She kept looking at his flushed cheeks, his glowering eyes, his scowl... then, leaned and pecked his cheek.

Sameer gaped at her.

Smiling, she lifted his hand and kissed on the back of it, "Buddhu, pregnant main hun aur mood swings tumhe ho rahe hain. Main bas tumhe tease kar rahi thi Sameer."

He pulled her in a hug, burying his face in her hair, "Main tumhare muh se kisi aur ki tareef nahi sun sakta."

She gently rubbed his back, "Iss poori duniya mein tumse better koi nahi hai. Tum sabse pyare, sabse handsome, sabse lovable ho. Yaad hai maine pehle bhi kaha tha... sweet, strong aur hot."

He lifted his head, "Yeh toh coffee ke liye kaha tha."

She pouted, "Coffee ke liye nahi tumhare liye hi bola tha. Kuch yaad nahi rakhte. Sach mein buddhu ho."

His eyes fell to her lips which looked more delectable in her faint pout. Unable to resist, he pecked them, grinning at her stunned reaction as the door was wide open.

"Mujhe sab yaad hai sweetheart. Woh din kaise bhool sakta hun. Uss date ki har baat yaad hai mujhe, har moment yaad hai mujhe, har taste yaad hai mujhe." He grazed a thumb over her lower lip, his voice a rough whisper, "Uss din mujhe woh mila tha jiska sapna main kab se dekh raha tha, uss din pehli baar maine..."

A knock on the door saved Naina from turning more red than she already was, because of his husky voice and his brazen talks.

"Naina bhabhi, aapke liye naashta laaye hain." Ramdhari announced from outside.

"Itni jaldi kya thi?" Sameer retorted angrily, moving away from the bed.

Vishakha entered right behind Ramdhari, "Oho ismein taana kya maar raha hai. Maine special multigrain upma banaya hai Naina ke liye isliye thoda late ho gaya."

Sameer stayed quiet, thankful that his real grouse was taken as sarcasm by his mom.

She picked up the glass of juice from the tray Ramdhari was holding and handed to Naina, "Lo, pehle fresh juice pi lo phir upma khana."

Without a word, she took the glass and finished the juice. Vishakha gave her the bowl of upma, "Maine sab vegetables daali hain. Isse poora khatam karna."

After she was satisfied that Naina liked the dish, she got up and looked at Sameer, "Tu bhi fresh hoke aaja breakfast ke liye. Tere alu paranthe ready hain."

Just as she stepped out the door, Vishakha leaned back and pointed at the steaming cup on Naina's side table, "Upma ke baad coffee bhi pi lena. Bilkul waisi hai jaisi tumhe pasand hai... strong, sweet aur ekdum hot."

Writing this chapter was so delightful, without the pressure of covering everything with the fear that the book was coming to an end. Now I can waver as much as I want

So yeah, this brings us to the end of this part. Don't forget to look for the next update in new book which would have the same title, though a different cover

Next update on Saturday... in Na Jaane Kyon - Book 2
