Naina uske mere dil pe chappe... ab jaun kahan pe... dil ruka hai wahan pe

Title is the song 'Rabba main toh marr gaya re' from movie 'Mausam'

Not just Ayush, previous chapter didn't have nanu, Vivek and Deepika too at the time of haldi, but no one missed them 😂 Actually, many other characters were brought in so could not include these. But since you all missed Ayush so much, I have to justify his absence. So here you go

Ayush looked from one to another as Sameer and Naina reached the bottom of the stairs.

Sameer was surprised to see him seated on the steps in the center, "Arre Ayush, tum yahan kyon baithe ho? Tum haldi lagane kyon nahi aaye?"

He wrinkled his nose, "Mujhe yeh wali holi achhi nahi lagi."

Naina smiled, "Baby, yeh holi nahi shaadi hai."

Ayush gave her an accusing look, "Jhoot kyon bol rahi ho tum. Shaadi toh beautiful wali hoti hai. Tum aur Sameer papa bilkul bhi beautiful nahi lag rahe."

Sameer stepped ahead to tell him about haldi, but Ayush scampered back two more steps, "Naiii, aap aise mere paas mat aao. Mujhe yeh wala colour nahi lagana."

Deepika saw them and came running to Ayush, "Haan toh mat laga na. Maine bola tha tujhe yeh colour sirf unke liye hai jinki shaadi hai."

She looked up at her brother and Naina, "Ayush ne haldi lagte hue dekhi toh usse laga holi khel rahe hain. Usne mujhse pichkari maangi... Naina bhabhi ka colour saaf karne ke liye."

Naina turned to Sameer, "Ayush ko colours nahi paani se khelna pasand hai. Holi mein woh paani mein colours daal leta hai lekin sookhe rang nahi lagane deta kisi ko."

Sameer held out his hand at Ayush, "Tumhe pichkari wali holi khelni hai?"

Ayush nodded, but did not come ahead to hold Sameer's hand which still had traces of haldi.

Deepika chuckled, "Buddhu pichkari wali holi next month hai. Chal abhi kuch khaate hain. Pata hai, aaj jalebi bhi bani hai."

Forgetting everything, Ayush looked at her with delighted eyes, "Jalebi?"

She held his hand, making him stand up, and whispered to Sameer, "Aap dono jaake clean hoke aao. Warna Ayush aapke aas paas bhi nahi aane wala."

As he crossed them, Ayush withdrew to the extreme edge of handrail.

Naina sadly looked at his retreating back, "Thodi si haldi bhi nahi lagayi."

Sameer tapped her arm. When she looked at him, he winked, "Bachhe apne mummy papa ko haldi nahi lagate. Waise tum kaho toh uske hisse ki main laga deta hun... thodi kyon, jitni chaho lagwa lo."

Though he couldn't see her cheeks under a thick layer of yellow paste, he was sure they were glowing with the hue he loved on them.

"Tumne pehle hi sabse zyada lagayi hai." She murmured under her breath, quickly going up the stairs.

Sameer glanced back when he reached his door. To hang the translucent curtains and decorative hangings all around, a temporary framework had been placed with crisscross wooden beams, which marred direct view of first floor. He could see very little of the hall below. That meant they couldn't see him either.

Naina was about to close the door of her room when a foot appeared in between.

"Sameer. Tum iss time... kisi ne dekh liya..." Her gasp of surprise was cut short when he placed a hand on her mouth and entered her room swiftly, shutting the door behind him.

She stared at him with widened eyes. Sameer circled her waist with other arm, pulling her close, "Sab neeche enjoy kar rahe hain toh hum kyon peeche rahe."

She tugged at his wrist till he removed his hand, and glared at him, "Abhi tum jao. Kisi ko zara bhi doubt hua toh mehendi ke liye nahi mil payenge."

His eyes glinted, "Mehendi ke liye bhi kuch haldi jaisa hi plan kiya hai kya?"

"Tum na..." She tried to remain stern but her lowered lashes gave away the blush which must have spread on her face, "... tum bohot besharam ho."

"Achha? Plan tumhara tha... meri tshirt tumne nikalwayi, haldi pehle tumne lagayi aur besharam main hun?" He feigned shocked surprise.

Naina covered her face with her palms, her muffled voice reaching him, "Sameer please. Jaane do na."

Only when her hands got coated with the paste again did she realise how she must be looking, covered with the paste. Horrified, she squirmed, "Main... main kitni ajeeb lag rahi hun. Please mujhe jaane do."

His hold tightened, "Ajeeb nahi, bohot sundar lag rahi ho... mere rang mein rangi hui. Thoda sa rang aur laga dun phir chala jaunga."

Before she could stop him, Sameer ducked his head, rubbing his face on the joint of her shoulder and neck. Her smeared hands landed on his chest as she arched back at the sensations that coursed through her at the touch of his stubble. Tilting her head to the side, she let him have his way as he smothered every inch of clean skin on her neck with haldi from his face.

As abruptly as he had come, Sameer left her and walked out, after whispering in her ear in a hoarse voice, "Jaldi aana. Tumhare bina rehna mushkil hoga."

After her bath, drying her hair and dressed up in a yellow suit when Naina went back to the living room, he was already there, in an off white kurta. His eyes lit up as he saw her. But Naina went to Preeti who summoned her with a wave of her hand. Vedika and others were in the same group.

"Raghav, tu hamare office ke logon se nahi mila na. Chal main intro karata hun." Sameer held Raghav's arm.

"Mil liya bhai. Sabse intro ho chuka. Yahan bhi koi chance nahi hai." Raghav let out a weary exhale, not budging from his place.

Rohan was perplexed, "Kaisa chance Raghav?"

Sameer had no option but to remain seated with them as Raghav explained that almost everyone he met was either married or about to get married or engaged. He seemed to be the only one unattached.

Sameer recalled what Naina told him about her friends and mentioned, "Dhruv hai na. Woh bhi single hai."

Raghav flared his nostrils, "Toh kya Dhruv se shaadi kar lun?"

While others were in splits, Sameer flushed, "Yeh thodi keh raha hun. Main bas bata raha hun ki tere jaisa koi aur bhi hai."

"Dhruv mujhse teen saal chota hai. Uske paas time hai, lekin meri toh umar nikli jaa rahi hai yaar. Mera kya hoga." Raghav whined.

Sanjay placed his hand on his shoulder, providing the best solution, "Tu aisa kar, mere saath chal."

"Kahan?" Raghav was curious, "Kisi ladki se milwayega?"

"Nahi." Sanjay gave him a divine smile, "Khaane ke section mein le jaunga."

Raghav brightened at the prospect, jumping up, "Yeh toh best idea hai."

Rohan rolled his eyes, "Raghav bhai, aapka focus khane se hatega toh kuch aur sochoge na. Aise toh aapki shaadi ho chuki."

Raghav pulled his hand, dragging him along, "Ab shaadi ke liye bhooke pet toh nahi reh sakta na. Bohot santoshi insaan hun main. Jo mil jaaye ussi mein khush rehta hun."

They took Sameer with them too, handing him a plate and urging him to eat.

Once lunch got over, Raghav went to Sanjay's room to rest while Preeti took Vedika to her house. Dhruv and Farhan were given a guest room to relax till mehendi function started in the evening.

Naina's phone started to ring the moment she entered her room.

"Ab?" Sameer asked impatiently.

She smiled at his eagerness, "Mr Maheshwari, saans toh le lo. Thoda rest karo. Message pohonch jayega tum tak."

She ended the call before he could ask more. He frowned, looking at the blank screen, "Mujhe pata hota inn sab rasmon ke chakkar mein tumse door rehna padega toh mummy ki baat maanta hi nahi."

It was an hour later when Deepika knocked at his door, "Bhai, aap so toh nahi rahe na."

He got tensed. If Deepika came to his room now, he wouldn't be able to go when Naina messaged him. But he couldn't refuse her either.

"Aa jaa Deepu." He called out in fake sleepy voice, "Bas sone wala tha. Koi kaam tha kya?" He was sprawled on the bed when she came in.

She narrowed her eyes, pushing the door close and coming to him, "Aap sone lage ho?"

"Bohot tired ho gaya hun. Socha sham tak ek nap le lun. Dekh, tera jo bhi kaam hai main baad mein kar dunga. Abhi mujh mein uthne ki bhi energy nahi hai." Sameer yawned loudly.

Deepika sighed, clearly disappointed, "Ab aapme energy hi nahi hai toh jaane dete hain." She walked towards the door. Sameer mentally patted his own back... till he heard what she said next.

"Main Naina bhabhi ko bata deti hun ki aap nahi aa sakte... bohot tired ho."

"Na... Naina?" He almost fell off the bed, trying to rush to her, "Naina ko kyon? Naina ne bheja tujhe? Naina ko kya kaam hai? Naina ne tujhe kyon..."

"Offo aap bhabhi ke naam ki mala japna band karo." Deepika threw her hands in air, giving him a frustrated look.

Sameer quickly put a finger on his lips, waiting for her to say what she wanted. Deepika giggled, "How sweet bhai. Aap toh bhabhi ke naam se hi itna darte ho, saamne hoti toh kya karte."

"Tu jaldi bata Naina ne kya kaha... kya kaam hai?" Sameer spoke through the finger, his curiosity piqued to utmost level.

Deepika donned a look of secrecy and importance, speaking in low voice, "Mere room ka AC kharab ho gaya hai. Bhabhi ne try kiya par nahi chala. Unhone kaha aapko pata hai kaise theek hoga. Isliye aapko bulaya hai."

Sameer's face fell, "AC? Main AC kyon theek karunga? Ramdhari ko bol technician ko bula le."

Deepika shrugged, "Okay. Bhabhi kabse mere room mein baith ke aapka wait kar rahi hain. Main keh deti hun bhai ne kaha hai woh nahi ayenge... technician ko bula lo."

It was then that it occurred to Sameer. This was Naina's plan. But why did she include Deepika in it... who could easily spill the beans in front of other family members. What if others came to know that Naina had called him to repair the AC.

"Main... main dekh leta hun. Try kar leta hun. Nahi hoga toh... toh company se bula lenge." He gave a tentative look to Deepika, "Aur kisko bola tune... AC kharab hone ke baare mein."

Deepika literally had to hold his hand and drag him out, "Aapke saare questions ka answer Naina bhabhi ke hi paas hai." She reached her room, and stopped outside, "Jao, jaake puch lo."

Sameer was surprised to see her leave... and enter Ayush's room. Just before closing the door, she showed him a thumbs up sign. Perplexed, he entered the room. Naina stood close to the door, her arms crossed.

"Naina, kya hua AC ko?" He looked up in the direction of the said appliance.

"Kuch nahi." She said plainly.

"Toh yeh band kyon hai? Deepu ne bola kharab hua hai." He was confused.

Naina was quiet for a moment, then smiled sweetly, "Band isliye hai Sameer kyonki abhi garmiyan nahi aayi hain. February mein kaun AC chalata hai?"

"Oh!" It dawned on him only when she said it, "Toh phir Deepu ko kaise pata chala yeh kharab hai?"

"Kharab tumhara dimaag hai, buddhu." She poked a finger on his forehead, "Tumhe yahan kisi AC ke liye nahi iske liye bulaya hai."

He looked in the direction she pointed. There, on a small table, was a basket, with a mehendi cone.

Finally, the creases on his forehead cleared, and a big smile spread on his face. He turned to Naina, "Kya baat hai madam, itni planning."

"Tumhare jaisi nahi hun... buddhu." She scrunched her face at his new name.

"Hayee. Ek baar phir se kaho na." He held her arm as she stepped away, fascinated by her adorable expression.

She gave him a serious look, "Dekho, abhi hamare paas sirf aadha ghanta hai. Usse zyada risk nahi le sakte. Deepika ne jo movie lagayi hai Ayush ke liye woh khatam hone se pehle humein yahan se jaana hoga."

"Tumne Deepu ko bata diya ki yeh sab plan hamare milne ke liye hai?" Sameer was taken aback. Till now he was thinking Deepika was also given the same excuse of a fault in the AC.

Naina looked at him strangely, "Uske saath milke hi plan banaya hai. Usne hi apna room suggest kiya tha kyonki yahan kisi ke aane ka chance sabse kam hai."

"Oh no! Usne mummy aur baaki sabko bata diya toh... Naina, woh yeh sab nahi samajhti." Panic in his voice was quite evident.

Naina held his arms, giving a calm smile, "Sameer, Deepika itni choti nahi hai jitna tum usse samajhte ho. Woh hamare saath hai. Usse pata hai maine tumhe kisliye bulaya hai. Woh kisi se kuch nahi kahegi."

Sameer's eyes widened, "Tum... tum uske saath itni friendly ho? Kabse?"

Naina took a deep breath, looking into his eyes, "Yaad hai maine Deepika ko uski friend ke ghar stay karne ke liye manaa kiya tha?"

A wave of guilt flashed in his eyes as he recalled his outburst on Naina.

She shook her head, "Woh sab nahi, bas Deepika ke baare mein yaad dila rahi hun. Tab maine baat ki thi usse. I explained to her... ki ek ladki ke liye life bohot comfortable hoti hai jab tak woh apne ghar mein hai, lekin bahar kadam rakhte hi usse apna khyal khud rakhna aana chahiye kyonki har waqt koi family member uske saath ho aisa possible nahi hai. Maine usse bataya ki akele rehne ki wajah se maine yeh sab kuch seekha hai. Deepika bohot intelligent hai. Main jo kehna chahti thi usse samajh aa gaya. Usne mujhe promise kiya ki woh hamesha mujhe bata ke jayegi jahan bhi jayegi... aur har situation mein apni safety ka khyal rakhegi. Hum dono ab friends hi hain Sameer. Kyonki main Deepika ko woh comfort dena chahti hun jo usse mujhse har baat share karne ka confidence de. Aur tum pareshan mat ho... maine usse aisa kuch nahi bataya jo nahi kehna chahiye tha."

Sameer gawked at her, open mouthed.

"Ab aapki enquiry ho gayi ho toh main aapko mehendi laga dun? Warna meri yeh wish adhuri reh jayegi." She flicked her head in the direction of mehendi cone.

Whenever she had talked about anything related to the past experiences, Sameer had always seen various emotions flicker in her eyes, ranging from pain to anger to disgust to helplessness. But today, none of these hurting flashes were visible in her brown orbs, which only sparkled with unbridled rapture. The darkness was replaced by bright dreams of their future.

He smiled, "Tumhari koi wish kabhi adhuri nahi rehne dunga. Chalo."

She held his hand firmly, and bend her head to draw a pattern on his open palm. Only when she straightened after a while did Sameer see what she had drawn... a small flower, along with their initials, SN written near it. He beamed looking at it. Their initials together looked perfect. When she gave the cone to him, and pointed at the center of her palm, he wrote the same two letters, making a heart around them.

Naina lovingly gazed at the pattern on her hand, "Ab chahe koi bhi design lage mere haathon pe, yeh do naam dil mein mehfooz rahenge." Looking at him, she stood up, "Ab chalein?"

She was taken aback when Sameer started to open the buttons of his shirt, "Yeh kya kar rahe ho?"

"Abhi hamari mehendi baaki hai." He had that same glint in his eyes which made her break into goosebumps .

"Sam... Sameer, dekho... raat ki baat aur thi... abhi aise... Deepika aa jayegi toh..." She stuttered, taking a step back as he unbuttoned his shirt till waist.

"Toh?" Holding the cone, he stepped ahead.

"Toh... aise..." She was unable to form any words, moving backward slowly while he kept coming towards her... till her back hit the wall. With a start she jerked her head behind.

"Mujhe tumse kuch chahiye." His eyes darkened at their proximity, tempting him to ask for more than he had planned... but this wasn't the right time.

She shivered at his hoarse voice as he leaned near her ear.

Inhaling deeply to control himself, he handed the cone to her, "Naina, mujhe tumhara naam apne dil pe chahiye."

It took her a few seconds to register what he wanted. The colour on her cheeks deepened instantly, as she chided herself for thinking on different lines. Sameer gave a mischievous smile, knowing the direction of her thoughts. She lowered her eyes, fixing her gaze on his chest, which was to be her canvas.

Concentrating on the work in hand, she placed her left arm in the center of his chest for balance, pressed her upper lip with her teeth, and leaned to paint the five letters of her name right over the mole that always made her pulse go racing. After she was done, she blew on it, to dry the mehendi, lest it left a mark on his shirt. Sameer closed his eyes... his heartbeat that was constantly rising as he watched her, skyrocketed when her breath tickled him. Naina felt his heart racing as fast as hers, under the curled hand that rested on his chest. Her gaze lifted to him, same moment he half opened his eyes. She shivered at the unrestrained passion in them.

"I miss you Naina. Aisi chori ki mulakaatein kaafi nahi hain mere liye." His words and his voice both made her go weak in the knees.

"Bas do din Sameer. Uske baad hum..." She wanted to pacify him, but he shook his head fiercely, making her go quiet.

"Aur tab tak kya karun... sabke saamne jab tumhari yaad aaye toh kaise samjhaun iss dil ko?" The urgency in his voice melted her heart.

She looked at her name on his chest, "Mera naam toh pehle hi tumhare dil pe chhap gaya. Mera pyar bhi le lo."

Before he could fathom the meaning of her words, she placed a long, hard kiss over his heart. He gasped... she knew how to take his breath away.

She raised her eyes to his glazed ones, "Jab bhi mujhe miss karo, dil pe haath rakh lena. Mujhe apne kareeb feel karoge."

"Main tumhe yahan bhi miss karta hun." He touched his cheeks one after the other, "aur yahan bhi... yahan bhi... yahan bhi..." His finger pointed at his forehead, eyes, chin and lips.

"Abhi bas itna hi." She waved her head shyly.

"Baaki raat ko?" He raised one brow in anticipation.

Naina bit her lip, recalling what Vishakha had told her. Hesitantly, she repeated the same, "Uhh Sameer... aaj raat ko... Preeti mere saath rahegi. Mehendi pe nimbu cheeni ka mixture lagana hota hai isliye mummy ne kaha woh mere paas ruk jayegi."

He frowned, "Main bhi toh laga sakta hun. Preeti ko aane ki kya zarurat hai."

"Toh main mummy ko keh dun ki tum kar doge, Preeti ko manaa kar dein." Naina asked innocently.

He gave a sheepish look, knowing fully well that this was impossible.

Clutching his shirt with her right hand which didn't have mehendi, she lifted herself and kissed the side of his neck, then his jaw. Sameer placed his clean hand on the wall next to her head, leaning towards her. Her phone beeped before he could reach his destination.

"We need to go." She reminded herself more than him, thanking her stars that she had set the alarm for half an hour.

"Hmm." He stood still, his eyes not moving from her.

"Sameer." She whispered again.

A corner of his lips lifted in smile, "Maine kahan roka hai... tumne hi mujhe pakad rakha hai."

She noticed how she was leaning on him, resting one arm on his chest and holding his shirt with other hand. Pushing him, she moved out of the space between him and wall, her face flushed.

Sameer left the buttons open while he went back to his room, and discarded his shirt the moment he was there. Looking into the mirror, he admired the name on his chest. A year back, he had attended a relative's marriage where he recalled someone telling the bride to not wash her mehendi even when it dried up and fell off, as keeping it overnight made the colour darker. He decided to skip his nightly shower today. He wanted Naina's name to be as dark outside his heart as it was engraved within it.

In the evening, he dressed up in dark blue kurta, which was in contrast to Naina's green lehenga. He couldn't wait to see her in it, thinking about their stolen moments in the trial room. He didn't know trial room glimpse was just a fraction of how she would eventually look.

As Naina entered the room, he forgot to breathe. Against the emerald green shade, her radiant skin turned illuminous, as if it was lit from inside. The sleeveless blouse had an added design... tassels at the hem, which brushed her waist as she descended the stairs. Her neck wasn't as deep as it was that day, maybe she got it altered. But the lehenga was same... fluidly swaying with her each step. She had adjusted the sheer dupatta on one shoulder, and its end trailed behind her, like it didn't want to be separated from her. Sans any jewellery, except heavy dangling earrings, she looked like a painting... a breathtaking painting. Her hair were tied up in a loose braid, leaving a few tendrils to frame her face which only added to the soft beauty of her glowing face. With lined eyes and pale pink lips, she was his undoing today. He immediately placed a hand over his heart as their eyes met.

Naina hid her shy smile on the pretext of wiping non existent sweat off her face.

Raghav cleared his throat, "Wapas aaja Sameer."

"Huh!" He blinked.

"Jahan tu pohonch gaya hai bhabhi ko dekh ke... wahan se wapas aaja. Mehendi lagwani hai tujhe bhi." Raghav ushered him towards Vishakha who was calling his name third time.

She gave him an exasperated look, "Doston ke saath sab kuch bhool jaata hai Sameer. Kabse awaaz laga rahi hun."

Nanu teased him in a low voice, "Teri mummy ko bata dun kisko dekh ke sab bhool gaya tha."

"Nanu." Sameer groused, his face reddened at being caught by everyone.

Turning to Vishakha, he flashed a dazzling smile, "Mummy, mere saath ek picture toh le lo. Yaad rehna chahiye na aapka beta kitna handsome lag raha tha apni shaadi ke functions mein."

Vishakha posed with him as Sanjay clicked a picture of them, with Sameer hugging her lovingly.

Vishakha patted his cheek, "Mera beta toh hamesha hi handsome lagta hai."

Nanu cleared his throat, "Aakhir mujhpe jo gaya hai."

Vivek pulled up his collars, "Beta jo mera hai."

Vishakha rolled her eyes, "Iss ghar mein sab ek se badhkar ek hain. Chal Sameer, ab mehendi lagwa le."

Vivek pondered as his wife asked Sameer to sit on the low stool, "Vishakha, maine toh mehendi nahi lagai thi apni shaadi pe. Aajkal dulhe ko lagana bhi zaruri ho gaya hai kya?"

Rohan peered from behind Sameer, "Jee papa. Aajkal ladke ladki mein koi fark nahi raha isliye shaadi ki saari decoration dulhe ki bhi hoti hai. Shaadi wale din toh bhai ka poora makeup hoga."

"Hain?" Raghav widened his eyes, "Lipstick bhi lagayega kya? Phir khana kaise khayega?"

While others laughed at his assumption, Sanjay gave a knowing look to his friend, "Apna Sameer master hai. Manage kar lega baaki cheezon ki tarah.."

"Pagal ho kya tum log? Lipstick ya makeup thodi karte hain ladke." Sameer quickly countered before others asked Sanjay to elaborate, "mehendi toh bas shagun ke liye lagate hain."

Vishakha asked mehendi boy to show patterns to Sameer before going to help Naina with the design.

Nanu noticed the red lines on his palm as he held the design book, "Waah barkhurdaar, shagun toh pehle hi ho gaya tumhara."

Rohan grabbed his hand, flattening it to see his mehendi, making all around him see it as well. "Kya baat hai bhai. Sab apne hone wale husband ya wife ka naam likhwate hain aapne toh apne haath ko shaadi ka card hi bana liya. RSVP mein hamara naam bhi likh dein kya?"

A loud laughter rang around him.

"Actually Deepu sabse pehle hamari mehendi karna chahti thi. Uski wajah se hi yeh shagun hua hai." Sameer said confidently. This was the story they had decided upon when anyone asked about their mehendi... which wasn't entirely untrue, just a play of words.

Vedika was equally surprised to see the small heart on Naina's hand, with their initials in it, "Inn logon mein apne aap naam likhne ka culture hai kya? Hamare yahan toh mehendi wale hi likhte hain."

Preeti nudged her, a knowing smile on her face, "Culture toh yahan bhi wohi hai, Vedika, lekin kuch logon ko sab kuch do do baar chahiye... phir woh shaadi ho ya mehendi."

Naina swatted her arm, "Bataya tha na Deepika ka plan tha. Kuch bhi bolte ho tum log."

Vishakha reached there to see the pattern on her hand and heard Deepika's name, "Deepu ko shaadiyon ka bada hi shouk hai. Aur ab toh apne hi ghar mein hai isliye kuch zyada hi khush hai woh."

"Lekin Deepu hai kahan?" Preeti looked around.

"Main yahan hun Preeti di... matlab hone wali bhabhi." Deepika announced.

They turned to see her dressed in a pretty lime green lehenga, standing with Ayush, who was wearing a similar lime green kurta with white waistcoat.

Preeti gushed "Aww. Ayush baby kitna cute lag raha hai."

Naina spread her arms. Ayush readily came to her.

"Aaj bhi khud ready hua tu?" She asked lovingly.

He dipped his head to the side, "Aur kya. Mujhe Deepika bua ne bola ab main big hun toh sab kuch apne aap kar sakta hun. Tumhe pata hai Naina, maine shaadi ke liye..."

"Ayush." Deepika hushed him, shaking her head when he looked at her, "Surprise hai."

He giggled, holding a hand to his mouth, "Sorry Naina, main nahi bataunga. Hamara supise hai."

Naina pinched his cheek fondly, "Okay baba mat bata. Lekin aaj tujhe bhi mehendi lagani padegi. Yeh colour nahi hai, haldi ke jaise."

"Haan lagaunga na. Yeh colour thodi yeh toh tattoo hai. Main superman ka banwaunga." He declared gleefully.

Preeti praised Deepika, "Waise Deepu, tera yeh special touch bada kamaal ka idea tha."

"Bhai aur bhabhi ke liye kuch special plan toh banta hai na. Don't worry, aapke liye bhi karungi." Deepika offered.

Naina mouthed a silent 'thank you' when she looked at her.

Rohan summoned Ayush from the other side of room, "Oye chote partner. Jaldi aao mehendi lagane ke liye."

Ayush ran to them.

Sameer gave him an appreciative glance, "Tum aaj bhi sabse zyada handsome lag rahe ho."

Ayush adjusted his waistcoat, a smug grin on his face, "Haina. Aap dekhna Sameer papa main shaadi mein bhi sabse smart lagunga."

Rohan chuckled, "Sahi competition mila hai bhai ko."

"Not at all." Sameer made Ayush sit in his lap, "Apne bete se bhi koi competition karta hai."
