Kahan gayi saadgi... woh chehra bada tha pyara
Title is the the song 'Yaad na aaye' by singer Akull... and you all know the reason for this song being my title today ☺️ Just want to thank Baba for inspiration
The cruise with Arun, Anjali and their kids was an experience in itself. The yacht gave them a view of several scenic places, including the famous Statue of Liberty, which they visited later, but couldn't go to the top as it needed advance booking.
When Sameer looked disappointed, Naina pressed his arm, "Itni si baat ke liye mood off mat karo."
He sulked, "Pehle pata hota toh main booking karwa leta. Upar se view kitna different hoga."
She smiled, "Isse zyada upar toh hamara room hai hotel mein. Wahan se dekh lo view."
"Main yahan se tumhare aur Ayush ke saath bohot saare achhe moments ki memories leke jaana chahta tha." He muttered in irritation.
"Sameer, memories toh ban rahi hain na. Agar yahan upar jaana allowed hi nahi hota toh? Qutub Minar ki tarah." She formed a curve around her mouth with her thumb and index finger, "Yeh view sabse zyada pasand hai mujhe aur Ayush ko. Aur iske liye advance booking bhi nahi karni padti."
Instantly, his face lit up with a dazzling smile, "Tum kisi baat se tensed nahi hoti na. How cool."
She twitched her mouth, giving a quick look around to ensure that no one could hear them, then whispered in a sultry voice, "I'm not cool... I'm hot, Mr Husband."
She had joined others before he could recover.
Sameer did not agree with her though... she was as much cool as she was hot, sizzling hot... a combination that made him more and more crazy for her.
Coming week was leisurely spent in some roaming around, and some relaxed time with Arun Anjali and their children in the hotel. Since the elder couple was well versed with the city, they suggested less crowded but interesting places to visit, to eat and shop too. Anjali and Naina indulged in a shopping trip as well, while the men stayed back at the hotel with kids. By the end of their stay, both families had become quite friendly, and exchanged numbers, promising to visit each other whenever possible.
For their remaining one week of stay in New York, Sameer had booked a different place in another part of the city, next to a beach. The resort here wasn't a tall building but a two storied cosy villa. It had a dining hall on ground floor and suites on first and second floor. Their suite had vintage looking rooms, with a bright central hall, having glass walls facing the sea, which opened into a huge balcony. Few easy chairs and two hammocks in the balcony made it perfect for a seaside holiday. Whole place had an airy, cheerful vibe. While Naina was checking the rooms, Ayush sprinted out to the balcony, hearing the sound of waves. Sameer followed him, and settled on one of the easy chairs besides the low railing.
Ayush was stunned to see the vast expanse of sea spread till the horizon, "Itna saara water? Isko khaali kaise karte hain?"
Sameer gave him a puzzled look, "Khaali kyon karenge?"
He blinked a few times before looking at him, "Club wala swimming pool bhi toh khaali karte hain, jab clean karna hota hai. Maine ek baar dekha tha. Bhalla aunty ke saath gaye the na swimming karne... uss din pool khaali tha, usme water hi nahi tha."
Sameer marvelled at his acumen. Ruffling his hair, he explained, "Yeh pool nahi sea hai. Iski waves mein hamesha saaf paani hi aata hai, kyonki woh wahan door se aata hai" He pointed towards the horizon, "aur wahan toh koi swimming nahi kar sakta isliye paani dirty bhi nahi hota."
"Arre haan." Ayush rounded his eyes in realisation, "Itni door tak swimming karne se toh sab tired ho jaynege. Mumma jab Naina thi na, woh bhi kabhi kabhi tired ho jaati thi. Lekin main nahi hota. Main strong hun."
Sameer laughed, "Waise mumma toh abhi bhi Naina hi hai."
Ayush slapped his forehead, giving a discerning look to Sameer, "Meri toh mumma hai na. Naina toh aapki hai."
With a wide smile, Sameer pulled him in his lap, "Yaar tum hamesha itni pyari baatein kaise kar lete ho."
Elated with the praise, Ayush beamed, "Mujhe apne aap hi aa jaati hain."
Sameer kissed the side of his head, "I love you Ayush."
Throwing his arms around Sameer's neck, the little boy grinned, "I love you too papa."
Naina heard the end part of conversation as she stepped into the balcony. Shaking her head, she let out a sigh, "Mujhe toh sab bhool hi gaye."
The last word had barely left her mouth when she was squeezed into a bone crushing hug from Sameer on one side and Ayush on other, who had jumped from Sameer's lap and tightly circled his arms around her waist.
"I love you." Both screamed in unison, tightening their grip on her.
"Ahhh." She squeaked, "Can't breathe."
Ayush quickly left her, pushing Sameer forcefully, "Chodo mumma ko."
He tugged at her hand after Sameer's arms were detangled, his eyes filled with concern, "Abhi theek hai, mumma?"
She giggled, "Theek hun. And I love you too. Both of you."
Sameer narrowed his eyes, "Tum natak kar rahi thi?"
She scrunched her nose, "Natak thodi... badmashi." Cupping a hand to cover one side of her face from Ayush's view, she winked at him, "Vacation pe badmashi allowed hoti hai aisa maine suna hai."
Sameer felt a sudden urge to pull her in his arms and kiss her senseless. This new side of hers was driving him nuts. She was irresistible when she teased... and when she teased openly, it was all the more hard to wait for their time alone.
Even in bright sunlight, she could see how his eyes darkened. Turning to Ayush, she pointed to the other side, "Ayush, wahan dekh sky mein kya hai."
The little boy innocently turned his back to them and peered at the far point, "Kahan pe? Kya hai?"
Raising her heels, she planted a quick kiss on Sameer's lips, then leaned to hold Ayush's shoulders, pointing again, "Woh dekh na. Clouds aise lag rahe hain jaise teddy bear. Aur kya shape dikh rahi hai tujhe?"
Sameer was still in a daze when she again straightened, and pecked his lips, making his eyes go wide.
Biting the side of her lower lip, she smirked playfully, and said, "Mujhe kuch heart shape jaisa bhi dikh raha hai."
"Nahi." Ayush tilted his head, observing keenly, "Heart toh nahi hai bas teddy bear jaise ears hain."
"Arre haan. Heart toh bohot fast udd ke kahin aur chala gaya." And while speaking, she placed another quick kiss on Sameer's chest, right over his heart. His hand flew to his chest, but before he could react, Ayush turned, his hands on waist, "Clouds nahi dekhne mujhe. Wahan jaana hai, beach pe."
Naina pulled him to her, an arm around his shoulder, and smiled pleasantly at Sameer, "Ayush ko beach pe leke chalein... agar tumhe koi aur kaam nahi hai toh?"
He sucked in his lower lip, narrowing his eyes at her. She had purposely enticed him, knowing fully well that they had planned to head for the beach after check in.
Bringing a forced smile to his face, he dipped his head, "Of course. Aur tum mere kaam ki tension mat lo. Mujhe manage karna aata hai."
"Okay." She shrugged, gave a coy smile, and ran inside, holding Ayush's hand.
Sameer let out a swoosh of breath, promising himself that he would make her pay for this torment.
The beach was private property of the resort, hence it had very few people around. White umbrellas were fixed in sand, with white wooden lounge chairs placed under them. The three of them took off their footwear and treaded on cool sand. Naina still had Ayush in her firm grip, but he was too fascinated by the view and sound. Even she was captivated by the breathtaking view.
Light blue sky reflecting in the calm, vast amazing sea, glittering sand where it wasn't touched by waves, smell of salt water, and the feel of brine on skin. Since it was middle of the day, sun shone brightly on the clear blue water, which glimmered as if it was made of a million diamonds. The waves gushed ahead, laced with a foamy border, and crashed on the sand, before meekly sliding back to same waters. Before one set lost its identity, another came with same gusto, lapping the shore with an angry sound.
"Mumma, beach kitna big hai." Ayush moved his head from one end to other, awed by the wide coastline, and expanse of sea as far as his eyes could go.
Naina clutched his hand tighter, "Isliye yahan haath pakad ke rakhna."
Ayush frowned, "Phir main khelunga kaise? Movies mein toh beach pe run karte hain na."
Naina smiled at him, "Hum dono haath pakad ke run karenge."
"Aur sand ka house bhi banayenge?" Ayush was excited as he recalled Deepika telling him about sand castles she built when she visited Mumbai beach.
Sameer held his other hand, "Bilkul banayenge. Lekin paani ke paas nahi, warna waves se toot jayega. Hum aisa karte hain, wahan banate hain." He pointed at a stretch a little further from wet sand.
Making a sandcastle wasn't as easy as it appeared in movies, they realised soon. Initially they tried to mould the sand, but when it didn't hold shape, Naina got some water in her cupped hands and mixed it to shape up a foundation. Ayush had no idea, but he kept tapping onto moulded blocks, while Sameer was busy caressing Naina's hands as she tried to give some semblance to the design. She gave him an exasperated look when he kissed her shoulder on the pretext of leaning to support the new layer she had placed on existing one.
Eventually, they were able to build something which looked like a raised sculpture, but was far from perfect, and far from sandcastles they had seen in pictures of beaches. But whatever it was, it was their own creation, and all three of them were equally happy to click pictures with it.
They decided to head back for lunch and some rest, planning to come back later in the evening, to watch sunset. Ayush wanted to get into water, but when Naina reminded him that he didn't come in his swimming trunks, he agreed to come prepared in the evening.
Sameer leaned closer to her to whisper, "Phir toh humein bhi swimming costume mein aana chahiye."
For a moment, her eyes widened, but next instant, she shrugged nonchalantly, "Of course. Anjali ke saath shopping gaye the toh maine bhi bikini li hai. I plan to wear it."
"WHA..." Sameer halted in his tracks, his eyes popping out.
Ayush looked at him strangely, "Kya hua papa?"
Naina stifled a full fledged laugh, though a smile seeped over as she ran ahead, taking Ayush along, "Tere papa ko beach pe nahi jaana."
"Nainaaa... no way... suno..." Sameer sprinted behind them, huffing, "Tum aisa nahi kar sakti."
"Kyon?" She shot him a challenging look when he tugged at her shoulder, breathless not because of the short run to their resort, but by the images that she had put in his fiercely possessive brain.
"Uhh woh... kyonki..." He stuttered, glancing at Ayush who looked from one to other, trying to understand their conversation.
When Sameer fell quiet, he sadly looked up, "Aap humein beach pe nahi jaane doge?"
Naina smiled sweetly, talking to Ayush, but her eyes fixed at Sameer, "Hum pakka jayenge Ayush... agar Sameer ko problem hai toh woh room mein ruk jayenge."
Seething inside, Sameer followed them to the resort restaurant. He couldn't appreciate the variety of dishes at lunch buffet. Naina seemed quite happy, and unperturbed by his state, enjoying the tropical drinks and food with Ayush, urging him to taste some new dishes as well, when she saw his almost empty plate.
"Isse zyada pyar se toh tab khane ko bola tha jab Jaipur gaye the. Tab toh main sirf boss tha phir bhi isse mera khyal tha. Aur ab husband hun tab bhi koi parwah nahi." He mumbled to himself, when she easily accepted his claim that he didn't want to eat as he wasn't hungry.
He was still in a bad mood when Naina finally came to their room after making Ayush comfortable in his room with his colours to draw a sea beach.
Sitting on the bed, he crossed his arms, looking away when she came out of the washroom. She bit the inside of her cheek, to control the spurt of laughter, and walked to the mirror. Sameer gave a side glance, but she was busy to pat her face, then applied some cream and then started to comb her hair.
Unable to bear any more, he sprang up and dashed to her. Grabbing her arm, he spun her around and hissed, "Tum bikini kabhi nahi pehnogi."
"Okay." She said plainly.
"Okay? Lekin tumne toh kaha tha..." He was taken aback by her easy acceptance.
She raised her brows, prodding him to go on.
He was now baffled, "Pehle kyon bola ki tum beach pe bikini pehnogi?'
"Maine aisa kab kaha?" She fluttered her lashes.
"Abhi... neeche... tumne kaha..." He wasn't sure what she was doing.
Naina was quiet for a few seconds before replying, "Maine yeh kab bola beach pe pehenni hai. Main toh..." She traced a finger from his chin to his chest, upto the second open button of his shirt.
His heart was ready to thud out of his chest... till her next sentence left him crestfallen.
"Lekin ab tumne manaa kar diya toh..." She shrugged sadly and walked away, "...main return kar dungi... kabhi nahi pehnungi."
He sprinted after her, "Suno Naina, main waise nahi keh raha tha... main toh... woh actually maine socha tum beach pe pehenne wali ho isliye manaa kiya. Tum return mat karo... tum peheno... mujhe dekhna..."
He shut his mouth instantly when she turned around and glared at him, "For your information, beach ya pool ke liye hi hoti hai bikini. Wahan kyon nahi pehen sakti?"
His eyes roved over her from head to toe, then up, and his eyes darkened, "Wahan sab tumhe dekhenge."
"Toh? Dekhenge toh?" She asked with defiance.
"Mujhe achha nahi lagega." He clenched his jaw at the thought.
He lowered his eyes when she stared at him in silence. He knew it wasn't right on his part to control what she wanted to wear, but he couldn't control the green eyed monster either that came to life even in his imagination.
"Naina, main..." He started to explain... but was once again left startled when she placed a hand on his mouth, a soft smile playing on her lips.
She stepped closer, "Jab tum jealous hote ho na, bohot cute lagte ho."
The confusion in his eyes was replaced by passion in a flash. Curling his arm around her waist, he pulled her against himself, "Tumhare liye main sabse jealous hun."
"Pata hai." She chuckled, wrapping her arms around his neck, "I love you."
"I love you too jaan." He crushed her in his arms, lowering his head to capture her lips for a kiss.
After a while, when they were out of breath, he weaved his fingers through her hair, "Umm... toh kab pehenne wali ho?"
"Kabhi nahi." She pushed at his chest, freeing herself, and giggled, "Maine aisa kuch nahi khareeda. Tumhe ched rahi thi bas."
"Nainaaa." He groaned. His mind had already gone into an overdrive in last few minutes, building new fantasies.
"Ab agar tension khatam ho gayi ho toh khana khaoge?" She chuckled.
He realised he was actually famished. Turning to hotel phone, he sighed, "Main order karta hun."
She took the phone from him, and made him sit on the couch. He furrowed his brows when she dashed out of the room, and came back within a minute with a tray laden with food.
"Mujhe pata tha tumhe bhook lagi hai, lekin gusse mein lunch nahi kiya." She settled next to him, and handed him a plate, smiling, "Isliye maine neeche hi order kar diya tha, room mein bhejne ko."
He grinned, "Ab itne pyar se order kiya hai toh khila bhi do, itne hi pyar se."
"Tum na bilkul bachhe ho. Ek second mein rone lagte ho ek second mein machal jaate ho." She laughed, and started to feed him.
After food, she started to place the things in closet, emptying their suitcases. Sameer keenly checked her clothes, but nothing looked like a bikini.
Sadly leaning against the wall, he drawled, "Tum sach mein mazaak hi kar rahi thi."
"Haan toh." She smirked, "Badmaashi sirf tum kar sakte ho kya?"
"He bhagwan, kahan gayi saadgi... woh chehra bada tha pyara." He let out a long exhale, shaking his head dramatically.
She stood up, pointing at her face, "Matalb yeh chehra pyara nahi hai?"
He placed a finger under her chin, lowering his head to come to her height, "Yeh chehra toh hot hai, pyare se bhi kai steps aage."
Her eyes sparkled with a glint.
He traced the same finger down from her chin, just like she had done moments back, "Agar bikini khareed leti toh sirf chehra hi hot nahi rehta..." His finger started to drag down her V neck.
"Dhatt." She turned away, swatting at his hand, her cheeks flared up.
He quickly held her in his arms, not letting her create distance, and buried his face in her hair, "Tumne mujhe pagal bana diya hai Naina."
With great difficulty, she kept herself from melting in his arms since Ayush was in next room.
Honestly, this was the most difficult chapter to write, because I could not concentrate on the story, nor could I type at stretch. Sorry if the narrative was jerky at places.
I have planned for a big surprise in upcoming update. Actually I wanted to bring it in this chapter only since I thought we would reach 4M mark at least by the time I post... but thanks to Sony uncle's brother, YouTube uncle, who wants to torture us by repeatedly dropping views and removing comments...
But nothing's gonna stop us. Patience, thy name is Ashdeepians
Next update on Sunday
