Title is the song 'O bekahbar' from movie 'Action Replay'

Nanu called Sameer and Naina to his cabin the moment they reached office. A new client from Mumbai had sent some feedback which seemed quite relevant for that market since the winters in that part of the country were completely different from Delhi.

Sameer wanted to see if the changes could be incorporated in other regions as well, "Nanu, hum poore western zone ki report bana lete hain. Inka suggestion sensible hai. We should think about it."

"Report main bana deti hun. It'll be ready in two hours." Naina offered.

Nanu smiled, "Theek hai beta. Bana ke Sameer ko dikha dena. Agar kuch issue ho toh mujhe bata dena. Main tab tak inn clients se baat karke dekhta hun abhi wale terms ko kaise adjust kar sakte hain."

Once the report was done, Naina mailed it to Sameer. But there were a few things she wanted to clarify. She went to his room.

"Waise toh hum present stock ke saath yahan ke regions mein continue kar sakte hain, lekin do jagah maine mark ki hain jahan humein jaldi se jaldi new supplies bhejni padengi." She clarified the markings after he opened the reports on his laptop.

"Jo yellow se mark kiya hai?" He looked at the various coloured markings on his screen.

Naina walked towards his chair, and checked the report appearing in his window, "Yellow nahi, yeh side wale do zone hain."

Since she had not marked them with colour, Sameer was not able to locate them.

Stepping ahead to get closer to the table, she leaned a little to point at the screen. Same moment, Sameer swiveled his chair to speak to her. Her leg knocked against the arm of his chair, and Naina lost her balance. Sameer grabbed her waist, breaking the fall. With him still seated, she clutched his shoulders to prevent herself from landing in his lap, though she was leaning on him.

"Wow, aaj toh meri biwi bohot meherbaan hai mujhpe." His eyes glinted, as he whispered against her throat which was just a few inches from his lips.

Naina was flushed with a deep red on her cheeks, "Sameer, please chodo. Hum office mein hain."

"Maine kahan kuch kiya? Hamesha ki tarah tum hi tum hi gir padi mujhpe." He chuckled.

She frowned, "Apni marzi se thodi giri hun. Aur galti tumhari bhi thi. Chair kyon shift ki?"

Her pony had slipped over her shoulder, now falling on his neck. Her lips were close to his forehead. He inhaled deeply, "Aisi galti main roz kar sakta hun. Naina, kya tum roz aise hi mujhpe gir sakti ho?"

"Sameer, kya kar rahe ho. Let me get up." She squirmed as his lips skimmed over her neck.

His hold slackened as he was lost in her warmth and intoxicating scent. Naina's effort to get up failed when her heel slipped again, due to her position... and she fell flat on Sameer. The impact made the high back of his chair tilt backward, with him lying on it, and Naina over him.

He closed his arm around her, other hand moving to her face to rest below her ear as he rubbed her cheek with his thumb, his eyes moving over her flushed face.

"Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai... ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai." His voice was thick with filmy accent.

Naina felt the uneasiness of their awkward position dissipate at his attempt to speak like the actor. With a smile, she raised a brow, "Khud ko Shahrukh samajh rahe ho kya?"

"Nahi. Woh toh sabka hero hai. Mujhe sirf ek ka hero banna hai... tumhara." His voice dropped to a whisper.

Her heart skipped a beat. The way he was looking at her, she could almost read his thoughts. Placing a hand over his eyes, she said in a breathless voice, "Aise mat dekho."

He took in a long breath, "Tumhe toh main aankhen band karke bhi dekh sakta hun, jaan."

They were in office, and anybody could walk in. Of course the person would knock but... he didn't want to make things embarrassing.

"Ruko. Main chair theek karta hun." Holding her tight in the circle of his arm, he pulled the bar of his chair, making it upright. Then he helped her stand.

She ran a hand over her clothes, straightening them, mumbling to herself, "Itna toh main poori life mein nahi giri jitna..." But he had heard it.

"Yeh mera charm hai, sweetheart, ki tum mujhse door reh hi nahi paati." He winked at her, giving a lopsided smile.

Placing a hand in his cheek, she turned his face towards the laptop, "Chup karke report dekho. Hum office mein hain."

"Kaash, main thoda aur handsome hota... jisse meri biwi ko pyar jataane ka dil karta." He sighed.

She smiled at his histrionics.

"Ahh." A cry escaped his lips the moment he placed his elbow on the table.

"Kya hua?" Naina gave a worried look.

"Pata nahi. Ekdum se pain hua." Sameer straightened and folded his arm once, flinching at the pain in his elbow. He took off his blazer. Naina was shocked to see a small bloodstain on his white shirt over the elbow.

"Yeh chot kaise lagi? Sameer, ismein toh khoon aa raha hai." She held his forearm, her eyes widened in panic.

"Uhh, shayad chair ke handle se... zyada nahi hai. It's okay." He opened the cuff button and rolled up the sleeve to reveal a grazed elbow, with a few specks of blood.

Naina observed the wound, "Clean karke antiseptic lagana padega. First aid box kahan hai?"

Sameer got up and went to the washroom to get the first aid box. "Main kar lunga, Naina. It's hardly anything." He said when she tried to take it from him.

"Chot meri wajah se lagi hai. Mujhe karne do." She snatched the box, and made him sit on the sofa.

Sitting next to him, she took out a ball of cotton and poured some antiseptic on it. As she rubbed it on his elbow, Sameer hissed with the sharp stinging feeling it gave. She blew over it, gently dabbing with the cotton.

The pain was all forgotten when he looked at her, bent over his arm, holding it delicately, and blowing repeatedly to soothe the burning. After cleaning it, she fished out the ointment, and applied it with gentle fingers. Her feathery touch made his eyes go dark, the way she pressed her lip under her teeth adding to a different burning that he felt.

"Done." She straightened, smiling in satisfaction after she had put a band aid over it.

Sameer got up from the sofa without a word and went towards the entrance. Before Naina could ask where he was headed, he locked the door and turned.

She stood up, perplexed, "Door kyon lock kiya?"

"Shirt change karni hai. Yeh kharab ho gayi." He stated simply, unknotting his tie.

Naina uttered when he started to unbutton his shirt, "Washroom mein jaake karo na."

"Kyon? Yahan thodi koi aa raha hai. Isiliye lock kiya hai maine." He shrugged, moving on to the last few buttons.

Naina tucked her hair behind the ear nervously. It dawned on her that she had never seen him without a shirt in bright light. The first time she had seen him like this on the rainy night, their room was dimly lit. He did sleep this way, with her in his arms, but he had never changed in front of her since they started living together. She was used to the feel, but the prospect of a view made her break into a sweat. She looked away, as he tugged at the shirt.

"Naina, please zara help karna." His distressed plea left her with no option but to turn to him.

He stood holding his injured arm, his face scrunched, "Jaise hi haath modta hun, sharp pain hota hai. Tum shirt nikalne mein help kar do."

While she contemplated, he marched to her, "Jaldi karo, isse pehle koi aake knock kare. Hum office mein hain."

Her eyes shot to his face, searching for any hint of teasing as he repeated what she always reminded him. But his eyes were unreadable. Slowly lifting her hands to the lapels of his open shirt, she pushed it over his shoulders. It was a tough feat to keep her eyes on the shirt, and not drift to what lay right in front of her eyes. The cuff button of his other sleeve was still closed. She opened it, and slipped the shirt off his one arm. Moving onto the other, she carefully let the sleeve fall down to his wrist before pulling it completely off him. If she thought her ordeal was over, she was highly mistaken.

"Right side ke first shelf pe hi do white shirts rakhi hain. Koi bhi de do." He flicked his chin at the cabinet placed near the washroom.

He literally had to bite the inside of his cheek to stop himself from grinning at her reaction. Seeing her avert her eyes when he started to unbutton his shirt gave him the idea. His eyes had not missed anything as she had stood close to him... the goosebumps on her neck, slight tremble of her fingers, her deliberate effort to not look at his bare skin, her shaky breath falling on his chest... the effect was much stronger than he had anticipated. Holding onto his own tremulous control... he had not touched her even once... he waited till she got back with a shirt.

When he did not raise his hand to take it from her, she sighed silently, and unfurled it to make him wear it. The shirt hung over his back after she had made him slip in one sleeve. If she had to pull it to other shoulder, she would have to lean over him. Biting her lip, she went behind him and garbed the shirt. Away from his eyes, she could not help her gaze from roving over his well toned back. She drew in a sharp breath, suppressing the urge to place her hands on his skin. Suddenly, the memory of the feel of his rippling muscles on her arms and face when they slept, sent an inexplicable shudder right upto her toes. She pressed her lips hard to keep herself in check, then quickly covered his back with the shirt, and came in front of him to help him with other sleeve.

"Buttons?" He asked when she stepped back leaving the shirt open.

Her already flaming cheeks turned a shade darker as she finally looked at him, her eyes showing a mixture of surprise, shyness and hesitation. He stepped closer, "Hum office mein hain. Koi aaye usse pehle..." His voice trailed off when he saw her hands lift up to his chest again.

His eyes jerked to the column of her throat which moved as she swallowed, then drifted to the wildly drumming vein at the base of her neck. Keeping himself from touching her was a mammoth effort in this moment... but he restrained himself. His little act had been hugely rewarding already. He had seen the fire in her eyes.

"Ho... ho gaya." She immediately moved away from him, turning her back again.

With a smile, Sameer tucked his shirt in before wearing the tie again. Leaving the blazer where it was, he occupied his chair again, asking her to explain the points she was telling. It took Naina a while to recall what they were discussing, but she was able to focus on work eventually.

In her room, she replayed it all in her mind again, instantly regretting why she hadn't looked at him when she so badly wanted. The fingers that she had so cautiously kept away from touching his skin while taking off his shirt, and then, while making him wear the new one, now longed for that missed touch. Even he did not make any attempt to touch her.

The realisation made her frown. Why did he not take advantage of their closeness. It was unlike Sameer. He never missed a chance to touch her... rather, he found ways to remain close to her, touch her, kiss her. When she fell on him, he was like always... holding her, teasing her, not letting her get away. But after she dressed his wound, he was... a little aloof. Was he tired of trying? Had she driven him away by getting cold feet everytime he initiated intimacy? No, he loved her truly... and would never move away for this reason. But then, why was she not able to return that love.

Naina chewed onto her lower lip. It was not that she didn't feel the desire for him, but her senses seemed to hit a block all of a sudden whenever he took a step ahead. There was an unknown fear... that surfaced in those moments. She recalled how he had soothed her when it happened, without complaining even once. With that came another realisation... she did not get the same frozen feeling today. Was it because... because her own thoughts went into an overdrive? Did that mean, that if she initiated, she would be more receptive to his touches?

The idea itself sent a shiver down her spine. How could she? But the thought refused to get off her mind. Technically, he was her husband. Technically, she had all rights on him. Making a firm decision, she waited for them to get home.

It was a little before she was to leave for lunch that nanu called her to his room.

Seeing Sameer already seated there, a blush crept up her face as the same thoughts pervaded her mind.

"Naina, tum bhi dekh lo. Yeh contract papers ready karwa diye hain." Nanu forwarded a sheaf of documents.

Naina settled on the chair next to Sameer, and started to go through the papers.

"Perfect hain, nanu. Lekin yeh toh Mumbai ke clients ke liye hain. Hum wahin banwa lete toh better nahi hota?" She kept the file back on the desk.

Nanu nodded, "Wahin banwate agar court band nahi hota. Mumbai mein state elections hain isliye do din court holiday hai, uske baad weekend hai. Next week tak yeh kaam taala nahi jaa sakta tha." He then looked at Sameer, "Maine ticket ke liye bol diya hai. Lekin return ka nahi bola. Dekh lena, jaise hi sign ho jaaye, tabhi online karwa lena."

Naina gave a surprised look to Sameer, "Tum kahin jaa rahe ho?"

He raked his fingers through his hair, "Naina, yeh papers immediately sign karwane hain. Courier se bhi bheja toh aate aate chaar din lag jayenge... maybe more. Upar se Mumbai ke elections. Isliye nanu chahte hain ki main jaake sign karwa ke le aaun."

"Beta, maine toh kaha tha tumhe bhi saath le jaaye, lekin Sameer ne kaha Ayush ke naye school ki wajah se usse homework wagerah mein tumhe help karni hoti hai. Waise late night tak wapas aa hi jaoge. Bolo toh tumhari ticket ke liye bhi bata deta hun." Nanu explained.

Though her heart was crushed in disappointment, Naina smiled, "Nahi nanu, aisa kuch nahi hai. Ayush ko adjust hone mein thode din lagenge isliye sham ko main uske saath time spend karti hun. Woh achanak jaane ka suna toh thodi shocked ho gayi thi. Aur kuch nahi."

Nanu laughed aloud, "Arre beta main kabhi kabhi bhool jaata hun ki ab hamara zamana nahi raha. Pata hai, Gayatri ke saath kuch pal bitane ke liye mujhe kaise kaise bahane banane padte the... kabhi kehta tha chakki wala bolta hai bhabhiji se pucho kitna bareek aata chahiye... kabhi kehta rashan ki dukaan pe zyadatar aurtein hoti hain isliye mujhe ajeeb lagta hai toh Gayatri ko saath leke jaana behtar hoga." His eyes twinkled with memories, "bas aise hi chote chote mauke dhoond ke usse apne saath bahar le jaata tha... kabhi chaat khilane, kabhi kulfi."

Sameer chuckled, "Aapne koi kami nahi chodi nanu, apne time mein."

"Barkhurdaar yehi toh main tumhe bhi kehta hun. Apne liye pyar ke pal dhoondne mein koi buraai nahi hai. Kaam toh karna hai, lekin uske saath agar thoda mauka bhi mil jaaye toh kya baat hai." Nanu exclaimed gleefully.

Sameer looked at Naina, "Main toh hamesha se aisi baatein sunta aaya hun, ab tum bhi nanu se seekh le lo. Inke paas aisi baton mein Phd hai."

With a shy smile, she pushed back her chair, "Main... main chalti hun."

On his way back, Sameer stopped in her cabin, "Naina, I'm sorry, tumhe bata nahi paaya. Actually tumhare aane se do minute pehle hi nanu ne mujhse pucha. Ab kaam itna important hai toh... na bhi nahi keh sakta tha. Tumhe bura toh nahi laga?"

She shook her head, smiling, "Nahi. I understand. Aur raat tak toh tum aa hi jaoge."

He crossed his arms, quirking up a brow, "Kyon? Raat ka kuch plan hai kya?"

She looked away instantly. Could he see it in her eyes? Were her thoughts so conspicuous?

His voice turned soft, "I'm joking. Itni terrorise mat ho."

Her gaze went back to him with the same speed with which she had looked away. He had yet again comforted her. His eyes shone with love, that was always in them for her.

Naina got up from her seat, and walked past him. Sameer turned to give her a perplexed look, "Kahan jaa rahi ho?"

She went up to the door, and locked it. His eyes were wide, but his lips were curled into a smile, "Kya baat hai, madam? Iraade kuch nek nahi lag rahe aapke."

She stopped in front of him, "Nek hain bhi nahi."

He was teasing her till now, but when her arms went around his neck, the shock was real. She looked into his eyes, "Tum mere hero ho."

"Hmm." He hummed, loving this side of his usually hesitant wife.

Her eyes drifted all over his face, "Aur bohot handsome bhi ho... bohot zyada."

A smug, gloating sensation filled him. Another movement from her changed every sensation to a sudden rush of heat. Her soft lips brushed against his. And before he knew, she was kissing him. His arms went around her waist, drawing her closer as he pressed his mouth to her, encouraging her. The fact that she was as attracted to him as he was to her made him change the kiss from soft and slow to deep and passionate in an instant. They were breathing hard when they broke the kiss.

"I'll miss you Sameer." She whispered against his chin, her hands still locked behind his neck, playing with his hair ends.

"Tum saath chalogi?" He badly wanted her to come.

She looked into his eyes, "Main tumhara intezar karungi. Jaldi aana."

Next update on Monday
