Love of Waves-Part 3
By now we were back on the ship, been this way for a month now. It was painful to have to sit here and pretend my feelings weren't there. We tried our best to find ways to spend time together. We both started working as night lookouts so we could talk in private. This night in particular we sat on the deck. "How much longer until we hit land?" I asked walking closer to Sebastian.
"Well, I do believe that we will be stopping at River Front in two days, we can hopefully find the next piece there as well."
I sighed, "two days is so long, I want it to be sooner".
"I know you do, but I'm doing my best. I can't really say anything unless I create suspicion."
I looked over at him, and he just laughed. "Hey what's that about?" I asked.
"You're really cute" he said learning closer to me. His eyes were sparkling in the moonlight."
"What..." I stammered as he had rested his head on my shoulder. "Me? Cute?" I couldn't help but laugh. "Did you hit your head when you were tying the rigging? If anything you're the cute one." I put my arm around him.
"Fine, but you are at least very handsome."
"That's something I can agree on," he smuggled against me and I held him close.
"I'm tired," Sebastian said, I'm pretty sure his eyes were closed.
"I know, but you need to stay up a bit longer."
"We're in the middle of nowhere and there's no one around, can't we just sleep?" Sebastien begged.
"You know we can't" I sighed.
"Wait, I know exactly what we can do" I felt him pull away and I was let alone until he came back with a lantern. And a book.
"You know I can't read." I said with a small sigh.
"That's why I'm going to teach you." He sat with his back to the cabin, and hung the lantern overhead.
"We've supposed to be on lookout." I said but still walked closer.
He smiled at me, and I couldn't say no to that.
