Alexa's POV

"Um, I-"

Before I could finish my sentence, the door slammed open, revealing 2 boys and a girl.

(There was supposed to be another boy but then I realised it was a BTS based OC. And no offence to any k-pop lovers but, I hate k-pop. SO NO TAEHYUNG IN THIS STORY)

"WE HEARD SCREAMING! IS EVERYONE OK!?!" one of the boys asked.

"Yeah everyone's fine. Just got a bit startled from my little prank. Sorry if we caused a ruckus," I apologised, giving them a sheepish smile. They all visibly relaxed and the boy sighed in relief.

"Phew, everyone's safe. Anyways, while we're here, I'm Mitsuki!" he greeted. (Sorry but I'm still drawing him because XxFlameVongolaxX on Disqus didn't have a picture. Though he did have a description.)

"I'm Jules," the one in armour said.

"I-Izumi," the girl squeaked as she waved shyly. (Her creator, KaiserKitteh99, didn't have a proper description but, she said she wear sailor lolita clothes. She is a 'Yokai Class -> Nekotama', whatever that is. Her height is 5'5. Idk how that looks like so I'll leave it up to you.)

"And that's- hey. Where did she go?" Mitsuki asked, turning around.

"I'm here you idiots," someone said. We all turned our attention to the girl hanging upside down from the ceiling. "Krystal."

Mitsuki and Krystal argued for a while while (goddamn while) we introduced ourselves. In the middle of their little argument and our little conversation, our invitations (from now on I'm going to call it letters) started glowing and floating.

"Students please gather at the assembly hall"

"Huh, wonder what the assembly will be about," I thought aloud. Artemis just shrugged, answering, "I dunno. But we better get going to find out." We all nodded in agreement as we made our way to the assembly hall -with a little help from our letters. The hall was packed with students, we weren't even sure that there were any seats left (our school makes us sit on the floor 😭). Being too lazy to bother searching for some chairs, I secretly summoned my wand and made them. (I feel like breaking the fourth wall)

"Hey, guys! I found us some seats!" I yelled after making them. I doubt that they'll trust these seats if I tell the others I made them after the prank.

"Oh! Come on then!" Jules exclaimed. We all sat down and waited for whatever to start.

Well, that was boring. The vice principal, Mr Drazi, basically went through all the rules of the school. The only somewhat interesting part was when he gave us a little glare as he talked about 'Rule 57; No using major magic without any permission and supervision. If you don't know what qualifies as major magic, as long as it causes damage, disturbances or puts anyone in danger, it's considered as major magic". Yeah, might have broken that rule a bit. After assembly ended, we were told to go to our classes.

"I've got Magic. Anyone else?" I asked. Scorpio, Artemis and Izumi answered. "How 'bout you guys?"

"I have History with, Krystal," Mitsuki said, the two glaring at each other.

"And I have, PHE," Jules said.

"Same here!" Max added. We all got into our little groups and walked to our respective classes.

"Good morning class. I am Mr Oscar and I will be teaching you magic," he said. "Now, anyone cares to explain what an MP Crystal is?" Murmuring filled the class until the guy behind me spoke up.

"MP Crystals are crystals that contain magical power, Hence, the name MP Crystals. The crystals can be used as power generators. They can also be used to help cast a powerful spell or enhance the spell," they said. Mr Oscar nodded his head slightly.

"Good. Now, how do these crystals work?" he asked. No one replied. "You," he said, pointing to me. Oh no oh no oh no oh no. Just calm down Alexa and get this over with. I took a deep breath and explained, "Well, it depends. There are multiple ways MP Crystals work, depending on what they're used for. If they're used as a power generator, you most likely need a machine. What the machine does is it drains the MP from the Crystals. The MP then turns into a liquid state, also known as liquid MP, and transports to the item that needs power. If you're using the MP Crystals as a generator, you'll need a high-level one. An MP50 Crystal can power up 2 lamps at the most. For a whole building, for example, this school, you'd need about, 300000 MP for the lights alone. If the MP Crystals are used for spells, in this case, potions, the potion will dissolve the crystal into tiny pieces. Those tiny pieces will mix with the potion, making it's level higher or giving the amount of MP it lacks."

(I'm feeling slightly proud that I actually came up with that.)

"Very good, good job Ms Cavern," Mr Oscar said. I let out a small sigh of relief and slumped back in my chair as he continued the lesson. Truth be told, I hate getting called out in class. I just feel so anxious when their eyes are on me.

"Hey, good job out there," someone whispered to me. I turned around, summoning my wand once again and pointing it at them. My glare disappeared when I saw he was just the person from earlier.

"Woah!" they said, putting their hands up.

"Sorry, I got startled," I apologized, dismissing my wand.

"It's okay. I'm Toby. Nice work out there."

"I'm Alexa. And you did great as well."

"Sorry to cut the chit chat but now's not the time to talk," the person beside him said.

"Sorry," both of us mumbled. I dozed off for the rest of the class since I already knew what he was talking about. I was so bored that I even decided to check my hair for white strands. Yup, that's how bored I was.
