The morning sun felt warm as it rose up from the horizon. My eyes fluttered open as I turned and got out of bed. I looked at my alarm clock " 7:40 ugh I am running late." I raced to my closet and the door creaked as I fished out my uniform and shoes. 

My next stop was the kitchen, I entered and I  immediately went to the pantry. Upon opening the door I saw one single granola bar looking back at me. "Man I forgot to go grocery shopping again. " Grabbing the bar I went to the couch to put on my shoes and turned on my TV to get some last-minute news. 

"Welcome to your local Georgia news I'm your host Lewis Rodriguez" the TV spoke. I mostly blocked out Lewis and the Rodriguez's in general. Addison was obsessed with them she treated them like the local Kardashians."Aisa you need to be more up to to date with the trends" she would nag.

I haven't said her name in a while. My heart just hurt thinking about it. 

I looked up at the TV one last time it showed a man whose stomach had huge claw marks and was in the hospital recovering.  "Probably just a bear," I thought as I turned off the TV and went to work.

After another day of giving out parking tickets and helping old people cross the street, I went to my bike and got ready to go home. I thought being a police officer would be more.... exciting, I thought my life would be more exciting in general. Alas, I am only a rookie my pay reflects that.  

On my way home I decided to stop by the library and grab a newspaper to learn more about the bear attack. 

The library is in the middle of a nature reserve. The summertime was the perfect time to have picnics here. The summertime was the perfect time to have picnics with Addison.  My head started to give off a pulsing sensation a sign that a headache was in the works.

I turned to make my way back to the parking lot when I started hearing rustling in the woods. "Hello is anyone there?" I called out. The rustling got louder and I drew out my pistol just in case. 

Two large yellow eyes appeared from the bush along with the sound of a low growl. I gulped I didn't know what it was I decided to make a run for my bike. Its loud footsteps were on my trail and it started to howl. I tried to start up my bike but the engine was giving trouble "come one, come on not now!" I could hear it coming closer and closer. 

Finally, my bike started, and just as I was about to leave my parking spot I saw it.

A wolf who was abnormally tall and was on its hide legs like a human. Its shoulders were bard and muscular. 

It howled at me one more time and went back into the woods.
