The Underworld hadn't changed much since the last time he had been there. Each section had been expanded a little, but otherwise the same. Percy walked down the roads toward the palace of Hades. He thought about the few times he had visited his uncles realm, a place he never did enjoy.
It definitely wasn't as bad as Tartarus. Still, he would give anything to go back to when he first fell into the pit. Even then he had Annabeth, but now she was in Elysium and he wasn't allowed to see her.
Damn Fates.
Three dark shapes began to fall at high speeds towards him. The second the first one was within range Percy rolled forward. The second one tried to grab him, but wasn't fast enough for Percy to take a swing at it.
The strange creature went tumbling to the ground in an emotionless heap. The other two went in to attack, but were forced to stop when they were suddenly pulled into shadows.
"Never in my life did I think I would see you again, old man." Said a man as he stepped out from the same shadow those creatures had disappeared from.
"Neither did I. It would seem I am being called back to war. Not even the Fates themselves can leave me in peace." Percy said back, a smirk on his face.
"Then it would seem we have a little bit of hell to start, don't we?" Said the other man.
"Yes, so it would seem."

The man had accompanied Percy all the way to Hades throne room before he was forced to leave.
The son of Poseidon pushed open his uncles throne room doors before entering. On a throne made of charred skeletons and precious stones sat the Lord of the Underworld himself, Hades.
"Uncle." Percy said.
Hades looked up from his thinking, surprised to see who was standing before him.
"Normally people bow when they enter my throne room, but it seems I will not be getting that from you."
"Correct you are. I have come to ask you a question. A question you must answer."
Hades raised an eyebrow, "You were always brave, but even for you this is reaching a new level. You must be getting rusty in your older years."
Percy's eyes narrowed, "Only because a man that has the same control over shadows as you and your children has threatened the lives of my daughter, her husband, and my granddaughter. So I ask, who is it?"
Hades scowled, anyone testing their luck against his nephew was going to be in for the fight of their lives. "I do not know, but because of everything you have done for me and my son, I will look into it."
Percy nodded his head, "Thank you, Uncle."
He turned around and went to leave, but was stopped by a wall of darkness blocking his path. "Perseus."
Percy turned around, "Yes?"
"If you ever come here demanding anything like that again, well, you of all people know I am not to be trifled with."
Part of the old Percy began to come back after so many years, "And you of all people know that the sea does not like to be contained." Percy warned before leaving his uncles throne room after the wall of darkness had been taken down.
A smile slowly stretched across Hades face, "Still my favorite nephew so far."

The council of the gods was once again brought together, for the second time in just a day. The only one missing was Poseidon.
"Why are we here, father?" Artemis asked.
Zeus stared at the middle of the throne room, where Percy Jackson was supposed to be. "That is an excellent question, one I am sure Perseus would answer if he were here."
They waited another fifteen minutes, the seconds seemed to go by so slowly. Just as Zeus was about to cancel the meeting Percy walked in and Poseidon flashed onto his throne.
"Sorry about the delay, but I had to speak with my father before coming here."
Zeus, already angered by having to wait, spike his mind. "This had better of not been a waste of time."
Percy scowled at his uncle, "Yes, I'm sure I did take you away from another affair behind yours wife's back, my bad." He replied annoyed at Zeus.
Hera shot Zeus a dirty look from her throne, as if to say I already know.
"Well, get on with it then." Zeus grumbled.
Percy took a deep breath before exhaling, "I will find out who this mysterious person is. He has already threatened my family, he will not escape me. Of course, I will need compensation for this and I do have terms as to how this will work."
"As long as it is within our power we will grant them." Zeus said.
A grin stretched across Percy's face, "Perfect." He began to pace back and forth while thinking. "I will pick my own partner in this. Someone I can trust with my life and to have my back at all times. No one on this council will threaten me or my family ever again. And lastly I require you to make me young again. I cannot fight the armies of monsters this guy is throwing at us in my current condition. I will need my body back from when I was able to take on thousands."
"Is that all?" Zeus snorted.
Percy grinned, "Actually, I wouldn't mind having my pegasus back."

Camp Olympia was peaceful, aside from the recent attacks that is. Since they had combined their numbers had increased and their strength had grown tenfold. They still Separated the Greeks and Romans, but they now worked together to keep each other safe.
Thankfully no one had been lost in the recent attacks, but they didn't want to take any risks. They had nightly border patrols in groups of ten. That way if they are attacked they would have enough people to defend themselves and send for help.
At the moment they were currently being attacked by a larger force of monsters. Normally they came with just a dozen or so, but this time there were a couple hundred of them. The only thing that remained the same as always was the man in black, watching the battle unfold.
The gods of heroes were there to battle him, but every time one of them got close he would simply disappear. "Jason, how do we defend the camp against this?" Piper asked.
Their numbers were now up to eight hundred strong, but even this force of monsters was going to put a dent into their numbers and moral.
The son of Jupiter frowned, "Hazel and Frank assist with the defenses. Piper, help the Apollo campers with the wounded that will come. Leo, take your siblings to make sure our traps are set. I will lead the charge into battle."
The gods of heroes went off to their positions, Jason taking his spot at the front of the army. The Roman demigods took the front, making an almost impenetrable wall of shields while the Greeks would jump over their comrades when their wall was being hit.
They lived and worked together, but the argument over who the better fighting force was always being tested whenever battle ensued.
"Jason, we are ready to grind them to dust." Reyna said. She had been given immortality as well. She wasn't a goddess, but more like the Hunters of Artemis.
"Good, it's time to end these attacks."
Jason walked out ahead of his troops, thirty yards or so before stopping. The horde of monsters parted down the middle, the mysterious man in black walking in between them as the beasts cheered.
He stopped ten feet in front of Jason, from his laid back posture he didn't seem very intimidated by the son of Jupiter.
"Jason Grace, son of Jupiter and minor god of heroes. It is an honor to be in your presence, I have heard of your many adventures." The man spread his arms out, "I do I hope I'm not disappointing."
Jason's jaw clenched tightly, "Who are you and why do you attack us?"
His entire face was covered, but he knew the guy was smirking. "It is time for the gods rule to end. They abuse their power over mortals and I am done with it. This world will be set free from their grasp."
Jason raised an eyebrow, "And you expect to do this with a small army of monsters?"
He laughed, "No, no I plan to do this with the support of my father. He cannot directly interfere, but as his son I can do as I wish. He gives me the troops and I give him Olympus."
"Your father?" Jason asked.
The man stared at Jason through his hood, "Yes, Erebus, primordial of darkness."
"Well, I'm going to have to disappoint you. You and your father aren't getting shit."
"So be it." The man said before falling into his own shadow and disappearing.
Jason hurriedly made his way back to the front of his troops. The man reappeared in front of his.
"Any last words before I decimate this camp?" He taunted.
Jason stared him down with a glare. "You want it? Come get it!"
The mysterious man went to give the order to attack, but stopped when he noticed shadows beginning to form next to Jason.
The son of Jupiter jumped back, thinking the man was doing this, but soon realized it was someone else when a giant three headed hellhound emerged from the shadow.
Atop the massive hellhound sat a rider dressed in all black armor and a black sword in one hand while the other held the reins wrapped around the hellhounds heads.
Jason's eyes widened in surprise, nobody had seen him in quite a few years. Sitting on the massive hellhound, now recognized as Cerberus, was Nico Di Angelo. He wore his stygian iron armor and wielded the matching sword.
"I haven't been able to get a decent fight in a while. I think I'm just going to try and find one here." Nico said, smirking the entire time.
Nico was made the minor god of death and shadows, also crowned King of the Ghosts and Prince of the Underworld after the war with Gaea.
"Impossible, you shouldn't be here, you can't. The ancient laws forbid you from interfering."
Nico raised an eyebrow, "I am in control of the domain of death, something that is about to occur. I must be here to oversee and prevent any unnecessary deaths."
They could tell the man was angry, but he seemed to calm himself down a little. "It doesn't matter, I am going to destroy this place."
"Yeah, whatever. Before you try, I have some information you need to know." Nico said, trying, but failing to hide his shit eating grin.
"What?!" He snapped.
Nico held his arms out wide, the ground began to rumble and a small crack opened up in front of him.
"My cousin wants a word with you."
Jason and the others were staring at Nico in amazement and confusion. Who was he talking about?
The man on the other hand actually had fear ripping its way into his heart. He had thought his warning would have been enough. Apparently he should have just left him alone.
Two horns went off as a man riding a pegasus shot out of the earth. He wore Ancient Greek armor and wielded a sword that made the gods of heroes gasp. When the pegasus was thirty feet in the air the man let go of its mane and slid right off the back.
He fell toward the earth at high speeds before doing a back flip and hitting the ground iron man style. When he hit, the earth itself shook down to its core.
He slowly rose from his kneeling position before holding his sword out, pointing directly at the man in black. "You have threatened my family. Now I am going to destroy yours."
The man in black began to shake angrily before launching a blast of power at the other man and disappearing in a shadow.
"Percy, watch out!" Nico shouted before he and Cerberus disappeared into a shadow.
Percy brought his foot up and stomped on the ground. A chunk of the earth shot up and intercepted the blast. The chunk of earth was destroyed, but the power was gone.
Percy rushed ahead of the other demigods and began to tear into the enemy like a god. A spear was thrown towards him, but Percy spun around it and snatched it out of the air with his free hand.
A cyclops rushed towards him, it's club held over its head as it was about to swing. Percy took a step forward and threw the spear right into its eye. The beast was turned to golden dust before it hit the ground.
Percy's rage fueled him as he ripped monsters apart, something he had missed. The adrenaline pumping through his veins, the nervous feeling he had whenever a monster came at him. He had missed it so much, almost as much as he missed Annabeth.
A hellhound tried to rake its claws across his back, but he turned and cut them off with his sword. "Bad bitch." He snarled before running up its side and doing a back flip over a thrown axe.
The weapon imbedded in the hellhounds skull before it was reduced to a golden pile of dust.
Percy turned to find an army of demigods unleashing their might upon the monster army. He saw the rest of the seven tearing into the enemy as well.
He noticed Nico was no longer fighting from Cerberus's back, but was now on the ground. He made his way towards his cousin. An arrow came out of no where and stuck into his shoulder.
Percy growled before ripping it out and jamming it into an empousa's throat. The she demon gurgled as ichor filled her lungs before bursting into golden dust.
Nico smirked, "Just like old times, eh Percy?"
The son of Poseidon grinned, "Yeah, now let's send these assholes back to Tartarus."
Nico smiled before spinning his sword in his hands and slamming it down into the earth. The blade cut through the soil like a knife through butter. A large crack appeared in the ground down the center of the enemy lines.
Percy understood what his cousin was doing before sheathing his sword and sticking his hand in the air. The same pegasus he had arrived on shot from the sky and flew past him. Percy caught the equestrians hoof and was pulled into the air.
He climbed up to its back and patted its mane. "Thanks Blackjack. I owe you."
"Damn right." The pegasus replied.
Percy smiled, "Drop me off over there." He pointed to a spot on the edge of the crack Nico had made.
Blackjack flew over the monsters, dodging and weaving around arrows and spears being sent towards them. He quickly dove down and shot back up once he was about twenty feet from the ground. Percy did the same thing he did when he first entered the battlefield. He slipped off of the back and landed ironman style on the ground except with both hands made into fists and placed on the ground.
He focused on his earth shaker powers which made the ground shake uncontrollably. The ground split open where the crack was, monsters fell in by the dozen until only a few remained. The army of demigods chased the last of the enemy and killed them.
Percy began to walk towards Nico when he heard someone shout his name.
"Percy Jackson?" Jason Grace asked, stunned.
Percy's eyes narrowed and his anger began to rise again.
Nico turned when he heard Percy's name called and saw the look on his friends face and then saw who had called his name.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me." Nico muttered just as Percy turned around to face the son of Jupiter.
