FIONA's POV

I gazed at his smiling face. I don't like when he suggests something because I feel it's always beneficial to him.

"What kind of game?"

"Hide and seek"

"Alright whatever, Who's hiding and who's seeking" I sighed apathetically

"I'm hiding and you're seeking... for an hour"

"Huh? That's not how to play, you'd make it boring. You know what? I don't care let's just play so that I can go home and get some rest"

I could feel the vibration of the ground as I closed my eyes to do the countdown "3...2...1" I turned then began to search for him to buy some time. I knew exactly where he was but it'd be suspicious if I barged in immediately.

I was led to a candy shop, it was the closest place to hide so I didn't judge. It looked like the fancy supermarket but with golden lights, assorted candies arranged in sections on glassy white shelves while some candies were displayed in a glass case.

I almost got carried away by its glamour but I walked straight to Louis who looked like he was hiding his face with a red heart-shaped chocolate box

I sighed then shook my head "seriously?"

He stretched his hands with a wide grin "this is for you" my eyes widened as I looked at him then the chocolate repeatedly.

"Here, take it" Louis stared at me. I took the box but I couldn't stop thinking and rethinking about his reasons "thanks...but why?"

"No questions, start counting" he ran off before I could part my lips to ask more

I repeated the same thing and after a while I stopped in front of a flower shop, my heart fluttered and my cheeks flushed at the thought of Louis giving me a flower "be focused you're here to play hide and seek" I internally cautioned then pushed the door open

The place was enormous and what caught my eyes was the everlasting rows of flowers grouped according to their species on the table.

I took a mini-tour to some of my favorite species and found Louis along the way but this time he was just standing and smiling when he saw me

"Gotcha, again" I arched a brow with a smug then he freed his hands behind his back and gave me a bunch of red roses

"Oh... for me?" Louis nodded and walked past me "you're a good seeker, let's keep going" he jogged out of the door leaving me very confused

The third spot was a balloon shop and it was my first time seeing one. It was like a pink room balloon garden having separate rows of plain, birthday, and 'I love you' inscriptions as well as others. I was on the lookout for Louis but still admiring the view.

"Surprise" I screamed jumping forward as someone whispered in my ears. I turned to Louis standing with a red heart-shaped balloon, my heart skipped a beat, I didn't want to admit it was for me. He took my left hand and closed the string in it.

"Game over let's go" Louis pulled me out of the balloon shop.

We were engulfed in silence as we walked side-by-side on the walkway until I broke it

"What kind of game are you playing?"

Louis looked at me plainly "hide and seek"

I face-palmed with a deep sigh "you know what I mean...the chocolate, roses and balloon"

"Ohhh... that, I think it should be part of the game, it's more fun don't you think?"

"That's not the point, what I meant is-"

"Oh ice cream!" Louis pulled me to the nearby shop and ordered strawberry and chocolate flavor but before he could pay for it I quickly slapped the money for both on the table which attracted a few people's attention.

As soon as we were out of the area and back on the road Louis spoke "why did you react like that?"

I was not expecting that question so I just stared at him like I heard nothing and the silence lasted for a few minutes "Louis, I-I want to go home"

"Sure, it's okay... so do you need a ride or-"

"No thanks I can walk" I answered quickly

A wide grin appeared on my face as I swung open my door. "It's good to be back" I said, laying the chocolate, roses and balloon on the table.

"You enjoyed the trip right?"

"Are you kidding? With all the amazing stores it's impossible for anyone to hate it" my wide smile disappeared as I turned to Louis standing very close to me.

I gradually moved away a bit which caused me to be stuck against the brown wall with me trapped between his hands.

My heart was hammering in my ribcage as Louis took a step closer, I felt my hands trembling slightly between our chests, my eyes were tightly closed as I froze unable to think clearly

I felt his soft kiss on my lips, my heart skipped a beat at the fear of wanting more, I opened my eyes staring back at him looking so calm and relaxed but his eyes contradicted.

Louis slowly put his hands down. I was afraid he would let me go until he grabbed the back of my waist gazing at my lips then my eyes like he was asking for permission, with my head slightly bowed I leaned forward as a sign of approval.

Louis smirked, pulling me into a deep passionate kiss. I clutched at his broad chest then he pulled me closer winding his fingers in my hair as his tongue sweeps within my mouth, I could feel his grin from the kiss as we separated.

My heart was still pounding as I bent my head unable to look at him, his soft chuckle reaction made my face red like fresh tomatoes. I was lost in thought when he called

"Fiona" I gasped staring at him with wide eyes

"...I'll see you tomorrow" Louis glimpsed at me from head to toe then flashed a small smile before heading to the door.

I peeked outside after waiting for a few minutes then locked my door, immediately a scream escaped my mouth

"Okay... take a deep breath and relax" I said exhaling, still trying to control my roller coaster of emotions burning inside. I touched my lips with my index finger and smiled as I recalled what happened.

It was like I was floating on air as I got ready for the night, smiling sheepishly until I bounced on my bed staring at the ceiling.

"So, he likes me...Louis" I emphasized giggling with a finger on my lips just realizing how cute his name sounds

"Louis glanced at my body, hmm... that's new, what does it mean? Was he trying to tell me something? Ugh! I wish I could read his mind"

"...oh no, things are gonna get awkward between us as from tomorrow, how would I even face him... what to say" I shook my head covering my face with my hands

It was at that moment I felt the blue crystal diamond on my head, hair turning silver and growing to my ankle, ears were pointy and long, skin became paler, my clothes transformed to the spaghetti long icy blue gown and the flower anklet appeared on my right leg. My true form has been revealed.

My heart shattered at the remembrance of who I am, I didn't know how to accept that I shouldn't be with Louis, it aches at the thought of leaving him.

I walked to the mirror, my eyes were blurrily clouded with tears. I dragged the drawer, grabbed the scissors and snipped my hair.

In a second it crept like a million snakes back to its original length. It was useless, no matter how much I try to change myself I just can't.

I stared at the girl in the mirror "you are here to live a normal life like the humans without any side distractions, you're not like him okay?"
