Chapter 17: The Lycan's Revenge

When Jensen and Solaris had made it back to Jensen's, everyone were all neatly dressed and all had the same sad look on their face from losing Nana. Normally a werewolfs funeral was without humans and every werewolf howled into the night to say farewell. Legend has it that once a werewolf passes into the afterlife they can still hear their wolf brethren call for them, but its a one way kind of deal so they can't howl back.

Nana would not turn anyone away. No matter who they were or what they were they were all Gods children to her and she would kick her own husband out before she let her husband kick someone out and he and everyone else that knew her could relate to that. A werewolf's funeral is very similar to a vikings funeral except in a were wolfs funeral they don't shoot a fire arrow into if from a mile away and the tiny wooden boat with the recently deceased does not explode like a f-18 missile had just locked on target and it explode. No, they just wait until night time and push the boat with the deceased far enough until the current doesn't push them back to land but instead they watch the boat slowly float toward the moon until its gone. Then the moon gods can bring their newest member Into the afterlife.

Nana had been shot close range by a 9.millimeter pistol seven times in the back. Hopefully death was quick for her and she didn't have to suffer. Nobody knows who killed her, but she was alone in her flower garden and was shot in the back by a coward. There are so many why questions and who but one thing everyone was sure of was that this was no random act of violence. No, this was planned and personal to someone. If you have never shot someone or have never been shtot hen you wouldnt understand that seven shots is complete overkill. Think of it like if a professional basketball player did a slam dunk and then repeated that same thing without the last six slam dunks counting for any points  or anything except him just wanting to slam dunk for no reason.

"Where is Madam Moone?" Solaris asked in General to everyone. "Oh hello Chassidy I'm so glad to see you and everyone." Chassidy said to Solaris sarcastically. "Hi Sis. I'm me again." Solaris said waving her hand thinking Solaris was still in Jensen's body. "Oh yay. I thought that Vamoosh wouldn't have been capable of actually doing it and I expected the worse and hoped for better than the worse. "Well its good to be back, but.." Solaris started to finish but Chassidy cut her off. "I know I can literally see your neck bulging and can hear your heart beating." Chassidy replied to the fact of Solaris being mortal again. "Oh my god. You like sent chills up my arms. Did I intimidate people like that." Solaris said smiling.

Nana's husband John stood up on the porch to make an announcement. "Excuse me everyone." John Hernandez said softly. He was a subtle and quiet man and nobody but a few people had heard him so Chassidy helped by screaming "HEY YOU IDIOTS MR. HERNANDEZ NEEDS YOU ALL TO SHUT UP AND PAY ATTENTION!"

"Thank you sweetheart." John Hernandez said to the small crowd and thanked Chassidy. "Welcome." Chassidy replied smiling. "Thank you all for coming here today. My wife.." John Hernandez started crying in mid-sentence. After a moment he held up his hand to let everyone know he was okay before finishing. "My wife was an incredible person. She loved everyone and did not deserve the fate that she had been given. I don't know who did it and I don't care why they did it, but as a man and husband I want to say that I will have my revenge on whoever did it." John Hernandez spoke the words into existence. "Now I'd everyone will follow us down to the beach after ten minutes. My family and I will be turning into our wolf form for saying our final goodbyes. Do not be alarmed. I give my word that nobody will be attacked.

There has been enough violence for one day and I just want my family and I to tell goodbye to Nana and make this goodbye one that she would be proud of if she were still with us. Thank you again and after ten minutes please join us on the beach with one of these white paper bags with the candle inside. We want to make sure Nana won't be in the dark so were gonna light the ocean up with these tonight." John Hernandez held up his paper bag with the candle in it.

"Dad, I can't do it." Larry Joe said sitting down in a chair. "Son, get your ass up before I embarrass you in front of everyone. "No I can't tell Nana goodbye, I'm not going." Jensen and their other brother turned and stood on both sides of their dad to show that they were on team Dad and would hurt him if he didn't come willingly. "I got this boys. Go and set up the bonfire and make sure you are a wolf by the time I get down there. I want Nana to be able to hear our howls so she knows we are with her and she's not alone. Larry Joe and I will be down in a minute." John Hernandez patted his sons on the back and nodded his head to give him a few minutes with his eldest son.

"Larry Joe, do you know why we call you Larry Joe instead of just Larry?" John Hernandez asked softly while sitting down next to his son and placed his arm around him. "No." Larry Joe said uncomfortably. "Well its because son, that your mother wanted to name you Joseph, but Lycan tradition makes your first born be named after the child's grandfather. That way they never alter a bloodline and us wolves never go extinct." John Hernandez said of the lycan myth turned tradition of namesakes.

"So you guys decided to break lycan code and just use me as a crash dummy."  Larry Joe said sarcastically.
"No boy! Because your mother, my wife, believed in the bible and had wanted to name her first child in respects to God! Now get your whining ass up and go tell your mother goodbye while I still let you!" John Hernandez stood and snarled at his son on the verge on changing. "Okay, I'm going." Larry Joe said while walking toward the beach. John Hernandez followed a moment later until they were all out of site.

For close to ten minutes everyone stood around mingling in the yard and inside the house. A huge orange hume started to rise in the distance on the beach from the bon fire. A few minutes after that everyone heard four wolves howling into the night as the sun was almost below the horizon. "I think that means we should head down to the beach." Chassidy said to the crowd. "Nobody moved as they were unsure and didn't want to ruin the Hernandez family's goodbye by coming to soon. "I'll go down first and make sure the coast is clear." Solaris said walking down the same path her and Nana did when she was in Jensen's body a few days ago. "Hello?" A voice came from inside Solaris' mind that was not her. "Um who is this and how can I hear you in my head?" Solaris asked out loud unsure which was the proper way to talk to a random voice in your head. "Solaris? Is that you sweetheart?" The voice asked. "Depends on who this is." Solaris replied. "Its Nana." Nana said from Solaris mind.

"But, how, why , you are, and I'm , and I'm so confused I don't know what to do." Solaris said frantically. "Tell my boys not to finish the funeral. I know who killed me and I know why and I know I'm dead, but if you can hear me then I can stay and help." Nana said. "Um, Nana.. I can't just go and tell your family that they have to stop a funeral because I heard a voice in my head." Solaris said questionably. "You can if I'm there and we can
Prove it by answering questions only I would know. Go quickly because I think I'm already in the boat. I just got really cold." Nana said worried.

Solaris ran as fast as she could to the beach and Nana was right and the Hernandez boys were in wolf form pushing the boat with Nana in it with their snouts. "WAIT!! STOP!!" The four wolfs stopped pushing and turned toward Solaris. "I know how this will sound and I don't know how I'm doing it, but I can speak to Nana in my mind." Solaris said it and realized it sounded so much better in her head with Nana in there cheering her on than out loud and to a pack of werewolves whom all just looked at one another and went back to the boat to finish pushing Nana out to sea.

"Can they understand me while theyre in wolf form? Is that why they turned around?" Solaris said exasperated. "No dear, they just didn't believe you and think your crazy most likely. Tell John that Martha needs a hand with her flat tire." Nana said to Solaris. "Who is Martha?" Solaris asked. "Nevermind that dear just hurry before its to late." Nana said rushing. "JOHN! MARTHA SAID THAT SHE NEEDS A HAND WITH HER FLAT TIRE!" Solaris yelled over then sound ofmnthe crashing waves. One of the four wolves immediately stopped and ran toward Solaris in full wolf sprint until about ten yards away jumped up in the air and lost all its fur and turned back into a very naked John Hernandez. "Oh my." Solaris said turning her attention away from Johns private area. "John grabbed a towel off the beach chair and wrapped it around his waist and asked Solaris. "What the hell did you just say Solaris?" John Hernandez asked. "Nana told me to tell you that Martha needed a hand with her flat tire." Solaris replied. "Oh my god. Can she hear me?" John Hernandez asked Solaris while covering his mouth shocked. "Nana told me to tell you no she can't hear you June bug." Solaris said relaying the message from Nana. Hearing the nick name June bug made John Hernandez fall to his knees sobbing. "She said she is cold and to bring her back to the beach and get her favorite quilt on the couch she likes please." Solaris said.

John quickly ran toward the boat that had his three sons still surrounding it unsure of what to do. When John Hernandez made it to them he started pulling the boat back to shore and explaining to his three sons that he just spoke to their deceased mother that was presently inside the little tug boat there beside them. Solaris saw the three of them turn back into their naked form and this time Solaris might have peeked to see Jensen's little wolf. After a few seconds of them pulling the boat and when Jensen thought they were close enough that they could do it without him, he broke off and started walking straight towards Solaris with his eyes squinted and water dripping of of his moonlit chiseled abs as he walked out of the ocean water to where Solaris was standing. "Put this towel on before everyone sees your little weeny Jensen." Solaris said handing Jensen a towel and she continued to pretend she wasn't checking him out. "What is my Dad talking about" Jensen asked witn seriousness.

"Nana said to tell you she loves you runt." Solaris said to Jensen. Jensen opened his eyes in a shocked expression because nobody knew he was the runt of the litter unless they were Nana Hernandez or John Hernandez. "How are you able to talk to Nana?" Jensen asked. Solaris laughed to herself. "Nana said its because she is awesome." Solaris replied. "Who did this to you Nana? Who!?" Jensen yelled with tears in his eyes."Boy watch yo mouth before I slap you back in time." Solaris said to Jensen and remembered that they can't tell if its Nana talking unless she tells them. "Oh Nana said to tell you that, sorry." Solaris said laughing. "Nana said wait until your father gets here with your brothers and I'll tell you all at the same time." Solaris said aloud.
