Chapter Five

It's been twenty-six hours since the Lycans attacked Stan. Since then, he has been rescued by a street performer and a bartender. He was given a room with a comfortable bed, and he is now meditating. His room was illuminated by his orange aura. A certain kind of peace filled him. He let his magic flow through his body, allowing it to spread throughout him. He inhaled, making the aura glow more brightly. He exhaled, spreading it out. He opened his eyes and extended his hands. The aura was transferred into his hands and balled up. He could now create spiritual forms of his aura, which could only be touched by those who had an aura.

"Stan, I made breakfast," Katty yelled. Stan got up and walked downstairs. He could smell pancakes, blueberries, and bacon. When he looked, he saw a breakfast buffet. Waffles, pancakes, bacon, smoked ham, muffins, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, toast, and beagles with cream cheese.

"Why did you make so much food?" Stan asked.

"I didn't know what you liked, so I made everything I could think of; was that too much?" Katty questioned

"N-no, thank you for the food," Stan said, feeling his stomach growling.

"Well, dig in, I heard your stomach growling," Katty said. Stan started eating everything he could get his hands on. The food was so good that he was on the verge of crying. He couldn't remember how long it had been before he had a good meal.

"Thank you so much, miss," Stan said.

"I told you to call me Kat, I'm happy you enjoyed the food," Katty said.

"Sorry, Ms. Kat," Stan said, finishing up the food.

"You sure can eat," Katty said, amazed at his speed of food consumption.

"I haven't had a good meal like that in... I don't know how long," Stan said.

"You'll be eating more when lunch comes," Katty said. The phone began to ring, prompting her to leave to answer it. Stan left the room after hearing what sounded like a conversation with Crave in which she expressed concern for his safety and made a few threats. He waited until Katty was done with her conversation with Crave.

"Alrighty, what do you want to do next?" Katty asked.

"Maybe we can talk about that conversation on the phone," Stan said.

"It was nothing," Katty said.

"Crave was speaking, and I overheard some of it. I want to help him because if I hadn't tracked him down, he wouldn't have to defend me," Stan said.

"Stan, it's too dangerous," Katty stated.

"I know it is, but don't you think he could accomplish more if he had help? Plus, I can fight the Lycans by stopping them in their tracks, just kindly consider the possibility that I might benefit from some hands-on training." Stan said

"When you put it like that, then... okay, I'll do it," Katty said, grabbing a card and drawing something, when she was done, she handed it to Stan.

"Use it if you're in trouble, it will call out to me and I can get you out of harm's way," Katty said.

"Thank you," Stan said.

"You're welcome, so when do you want to help Crave?" Katty asked.

"I would say now, but I ate so much and I would like to ask you something," Stan said.

"Go ahead," Katty said.

"You said you made pacts with powerful monsters to fight for you when summoned?" Stan questioned

"Yes, I can do that," Katty said

"Can you summon a monster for me to fight?" Stan asked.

"Sure," Katty said, as she clapped her hands together and her purple aura glowed as a circle surrounded her and what came out was a red bat.

"What's that?" Stan asked.

"It's a bloodbat I call him Liam." Katty said,

"What can it do?" Stan asked.

"It's going just to headbutt you until you stop it," Katty said.

"Neat," Stan asked.

"Alrighty Liam, don't kill this one, just head butt him," Katty demanded.

The bat did as it was instructed and rammed its head into Stan's chest, causing him to fall but not feel any pain. He assumed this was because she had instructed the bat not to kill him. The bat struck Stan again, but this time Stan used his orange to deflect the blow, and the bat collapsed stunned.

"Nice work, but if I had told Liam to kill you, he would have done so before you could react," Katty said.

"But this helps confirm my theory on my magic, I can use my aura to paralyze and touch others," Stan said.

"Touch?" Katty asked.

"For example, in order for me to use my magic, I need to see your aura, and if I can see it, I can touch it, and if I touch it, I can stun you," Stan explained.

"All right, now could you please pick up my bat because it appears to be very uncomfortable?" Katty said

"Okay," Stan picked up the bat and put it on the table.

"Such a cute little thing," Katty said, petting the creature.

"Could you summon something else?" Stan asked.

"Give me a second," Katty said, making another circle, and the voice of a monster started to speak.

"Who calls forth the Neverdrown, the lost hope of ships, the devil of the sea?"

"Necorli, it's me, so you don't have to do that whole act," Katty said.

"Oh, Greetings, Ms. Kat, how may I assist you," Necorli asked.

"I need you to help me test something out, and I am sorry for the advice,"
