It all started with a blue rose.

It wasn't just a blue rose though, it was a blue rose from him, the mysterious man you just met that night at the masquerade ball...a man whom you fell in love with at first sight.

You could still remember the memory, the sweet memory of him sweeping you off your feet and dance with you with such grace and elegance, you wondered how he was so perfect compared to the other men you've met before...

It was on the night of the Mint Eye Corporation's masquerade ball, where all of the Mint Eye members come and gather for a delicious feast, along with dancing and plotting their next evil plans with their friends.
You were not like all of them however.
You weren't even apart of the Mint Eye.
You were an undercover spy for the RFA and your job was to find the mastermind behind this whole corporation.

You have now entered the ballroom, wearing nothing but a long white dress with a white mask that hid your true identity.
No gun.
No taser.
Just you.
Which means no protection from the Mint Eye if you were ever to be captured.
You didn't plan to get captured anytime soon.

As you made your way down to the center, gently pushing past a few of the well-dressed members, your (e/c) eyes found themselves staring at the figure who sat on the high throne, dressed in all black, along with a black mask covering her face.
It appeared that the mysterious woman had long dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes.
You knew that she had to be the leader of the Mint Eye, the one everyone called their "savior."
But...why did you feel like you've seen her from somewhere before?

There was no time to be lost in thought, for the woman clears her throat, now gaining everyone's attention towards her.
She stands up and presents herself, an evil smirk formed on her face.

"My loyal Believers and Disciples, it is a great pleasure to have you all here at Magenta for this wonderful party tonight~
As you all may know, we have come so far in our plan to eliminate all the fear and pain from this cruel world and we are so close to reaching our everlasting paradise~"

You stood there in silence as you heard the others hum and nod in agreement. A waiter then approached you, offering you a blue drink from a glass bottle.
You stared at the suspicious blue liquid before shyly smiling and waving him away.

"As long as we continue our reign, we shall achieve victory and save those who are suffering and bring them the peace and love they deserve after all these years of torture!"

Everyone was now cheering for the woman as they clink their glass drinks together.

"Paradise! Paradise! Paradise!"

You had to get closer to her, you had to stop her and all this madness she had created.
But as you were about to approach her, you heard the soft playing of a violin from afar, causing you to stop in your tracks.

That's strange, it was loud in the ballroom and yet, you could clearly hear the beautiful tune the violin was playing.
Because of your curiosity, you decide to follow the sound of music, which lead you to the outside of the base and into the garden.

The garden was surrounded with rows of extraordinary flowers, the sweet honey-suckle smell filling the air as you heard nothing but the sound of the violin playing and the crickets chirping in the night.
And that was when you first saw him, the man who made your heart stop just by staring at him...

It was a man who was very young, a man who was dressed in a magenta suit, with a blue rose pinned to the lapel. His white hair was groomed so properly, you wondered how it would feel to touch it.
But there was something about his eyes that made you excited, for they had a glow to them...a mint-colored glow.

As he played the violin, you just stared at him in awe, the whole world freezing in time and disappearing, leaving only you two alone.
You went to take a step forward to him, only to have accidentally snapping a twig.
You gasp and quickly hide behind the bushes, as the young man stopped playing and looked around.

"Is someone there...? Hello?"

Maybe he didn't see you...

"Come out, I know you're behind that bush~"

You heard him giggle.
You tried to remain calm and collected as you reveal yourself to him, hoping he didn't recognized you.
All he did was just stare at you with softness in his eyes, along with a soft smile upon his face.
He didn't look evil at all...

"Why, hello there Miss~"

"A-Ah, hello..."

"What is your name if I may ask?~"

"I-It's (Y/n)..."

"What a pretty name~ I am Ray, nice to meet such a beautiful lady like you~"

Ray teased as he bows and kisses the top of your hand, earning a gasp from you. Ray then holds out his hand, smiling down at you.

"Care to dance with me?~"

"Uhh s-sure!"

You stuttered as you took his hand, his arm now wrapping around your waist, pulling you closer to him.
You two begin to slowly dance around the garden, your eyes staring into each other's as you didn't say a word and let the music from inside the castle be heard.

It all felt like a dream to you, like some sort of paradise was slowly enveloping you...
Maybe the Mint Eye wasn't so bad...
Ray smiles as he rests his forehead on yours.

"You're so beautiful, you know that? Your (e/c) eyes...they would look better in a more suitable color~"

"Oh...? Like what?"

"Like mine~"

Ray said as he then leans down and places a gentle kiss on your lips, causing you to slowly close your eyes and kiss him back.
After you two pull away, you heard someone call his name in the distance, causing him to let you go.
You didn't want to separate from his arms just yet...

"I have to go now, Milady...but here, remember me by this~"

He then gave you a blue rose, placing it in your hand as he kissed your forehead.

"If you ever want to join us, meet me here at the same place~"

He whispered in your ear before taking his leave.
You watch as his figure disappears, wondering how he knew that you weren't apart of the Mint Eye in the first place...

It had been weeks since you went to the ball and he still hasn't left your mind...
Whenever one of the RFA members asks you if anything was wrong, you just waved it off, saying that you were just thinking about someone who wasn't important to them...
But Ray was important to you and you wanted to see him again.
Every time you stared at the blue rose he gave you, it just reminded you of him...

That is why you are here now, back in the garden of the Mint Eye Organization, sitting on the bench as you waited for Ray to return.
One side was telling you that this wasn't a good idea and that you should go back to the RFA.
The other side wanted you to stay where you are and wait for the mysterious stranger to appear.

And so, he does.
He smiles as he approaches you, kissing the top of your hand once again like he did when you two first met.

"Ah, I see that you have returned~
Have you thought about joining us, joining me in this everlasting paradise?~"

The RFA has warned you many times never to join the Mint Eye, especially 707. He has always told you never to accept their party invite...
But if it means that you could stay with this gentle soul forever, then so be it.
You softly smile at him as you
held his hands.

"...Yes~"

Ray smirked as he places another kiss on your lips, causing fireworks to go off in your stomach.

"I've been waiting to hear that from you, (Y/n)~"

You didn't hesitate to do the "introduction" ceremony right away, for you wanted to join as fast as you can so you could be with Ray.
You have learned that Rika was behind it all this time...but you didn't care anymore.
You weren't apart of the RFA anymore, so what does it matter?
Rika was going to be your savior and Ray was going to be the love of your life~
Ray smiles as he hands you a heart-shaped glass bottle with the same blue liquid you've seen before.

"Drink this Elixir of Salvation and you shall be apart of our family, (Y/n)~"

As you gulp down the substance, it tasted foul at first, but then it tasted sweet, just like Ray.
And as you opened your eyes...they were now the same color as Ray's:
A glowing mint-color.

You were now apart of the Mint Eye, this organization that was really a hell hole...and it was all because of Ray and that blue rose he had given you...
