"I think I need a break from this..."

Taking my eyes off the computer screen, I got up and walked toward the kitchen. I thought that maybe some Ph D Pepper will help me feel energized again so I took a can out of the fridge and took a long gulp. The sweetness was definitely waking me up more.

"I wonder what Legacy is doing.." I started wondering about that girl Legacy. She's been on my mind for a while now and I was still not sure what happened. I'm really worried that she was the same girl I chatted with before. Did I make a mistake while I was hacking the app?

"All I wanted was to chat with her a little. I never wanted her to end up here inside the game. God... Maybe I really did screw things up in the coding." I kept wondering and wondering. I felt really anxious so I had to go back to my computer to check and see for myself. "Huh. That's weird..."

I was looking around for anything suspicious and I noticed that parts of the code were modified, causing some parts of the data to be corrupted. "I don't remember putting any of this here..." I began muttering to myself again. "Did someone implant a virus? But that's impossible..."

I thought long and hard about who it might be, but since I was the only one aware of what was really going on, I couldn't think of anyone else who might have done it. I was the only one who knew about the reality of the game.

"The game..?" As soon as the thought crossed my mind, I hurriedly logged in to the messenger and read the previous chats. "Casually Story..... Deep Story..... These chats aren't from any of them!! Shit.. How did I not even notice this sooner!?"

All this time I thought that I was the only one aware of what was going on... But now it looks like everyone else is the same way. Jumin, Jaehee, Zen, and Yoosung... Every single one of them weren't following their programming. I don't think they even realize it themselves yet, but once they do, things are going to be really chaotic in the messenger.

I went in the current chatroom to see how things were. Hopefully, it isn't that bad.

I hurriedly logged off before they could me ask any more questions. Depending on what time he called and what he talked about, I'm guessing that Zen either followed his original programming or completely did that by accident. If it was an accident that wasn't supposed to happen, then my hunch was right after all.

I just hope it isn't.

My mind was even more restless after finding out about this problem. The virus must have caused a glitch in the game's programming and somehow dragged Legacy here from her own world. If that was the case, I had to fix it and send her back. Who knows what'll happen if she gets stuck here for too long.

"Guess that's more work to do... Ughh... The boss is gonna kill me..."

Looking at my phone in my hands, I had the sudden urge to call her, just for a little bit. Hearing her voice makes me feel more relaxed for some reason. She wouldn't mind, right?

I scrolled through my contacts and gave her a ring, she picked up the call almost immediately. Honestly, I really didn't expect her to pick up or be awake at this hour. I'd feel bad if I woke her up.

"Hello? Did I wake you up?" I asked her.

There was some shuffling in the background and a clinking noise. She yawned a bit.

"No, I was watching UTube videos almost the entire afternoon-- HUH!? Is that the time?!?! When did it get this late?!" She started yelling and running around inside the apartment. I could hear her cuss after stubbing her toe against something. "$h¡T tHaT f'(K¡nG huRt like WHY???"

"Haha, I wonder why the author never censored me when I cuss."

"Sorry. Did you say something, Seven?"

"Oh, nothing. I just called to check up on you." I laughed a bit. I'm pretty sure you were reading that sentence and was amused that I broke the fourth wall, huh Reader? Old habits die hard.

"Well I'm doing okay. I just can't believe I lost half the day, wow..." She sighed loudly like she was bothered by something. It made me eager to know why, but she didn't say anything further.

"Why were you watching so much UTube that you lost track of time? Hahaha! Were you bored? Next time you're bored, you should call one of the RFA. I'm sure at least one of us has at least a few minutes to--"

"Oh no no!! That's okay! I don't wanna bother any of you! Really! I was just, um, bored! Yeah, that's all! HAHA! HA... Uhmm... I, uhh, I gotta take a shower. I feel really icky right now, since I went out earlier today so.... Yeah. Good night, Seven! Have some good dreams!"

I was too focused to listening about what she was trying to say that I didn't have the time to react to the call ending so quickly. She clearly didn't sound okay at all. Her awkwardness was a pretty dead giveaway.

Legacy was hiding something, that I was pretty sure of.
