I heard sobbing coming from the bathroom yesterday.

Also her eyes looked bloodshot by the time she came out of there so I can assume she had been crying.

Of course not.

Although I wanted her to stay over last night, she insisted on going back to the apartment.

I immediately frown at the insulting word Yoosung wrote in our chat. "I am not a robot." I said out loud without meaning to. My voice echoed in the empty penthouse, reminding me that I was once again all alone inside this quiet place.

Even though Elizabeth the 3rd was here with me right now, it didn't feel quite the same without Legacy. The usual quiet was uncomfortable and I longed for that girl to be here beside me again. Her smiling face still lingered in my mind and I couldn't help but wonder what she was doing at this moment.

While I was typing a quick reply to Yoosung's message, my thumb froze over a name that suddenly appeared on the screen as I was about to hit send. My eyes read and reread the very name that I was thinking of more than once to make sure I wasn't just imagining it. I pressed the answer button after the third ring and her sobbing was the first thing I heard over the line.

"J-Jumin..?" Legacy's voice cracked as she struggled to breathe.

"Are you crying again?" I said while leaning back and staring at the ceiling.

Her sniveling grew louder and understanding what she was trying to say was beginning to become a challenge. All I could manage out from the two minutes worth of her talking was "what" "I" "do wrong" "can't do anything right" "why Seven" and "I'm sorry". I waited for a moment to make sure she was finished before speaking up.

"Legacy, I can't understand you if you talk in pauses and hiccups. But more importantly, if you're crying about Seven, then why not stay here for a bit until you feel better? Yoosung wants to come see you too. Normally I wouldn't allow this but if it helps you feel better then I'll consider it," I smiled in sympathy. "Just this once."

"O-Okay... Thanks, Jumin." She said between hiccups. Then added, "Don't tell Seven about any of this, okay?"

There was a heavy feeling in my chest when she said that. With the everyday neutral expression I wore, I made a promise not to say anything about it.

Seven is an intelligent man as he is strange. It wouldn't surprise me if he was listening to my conversation with Legacy at this very moment. However whether or not he was eavesdropping on us was none of my concern. What concerns me more is Legacy getting better from this soon.

I told her to meet up with Driver Kim at the same place and he'll bring her over. After dropping the call with Legacy, I phoned Yoosung to tell him about his initial plans of visiting her here. He sounded both excited and relieved to hear that she was staying at my place for a while.

"Remember. Legacy doesn't want Seven knowing about this. That means he can't know that she's staying here either." I told him.

"Oh. If Seven knew about it then he'll probably go there too, right?" Yoosung said, sounding bothered. "Ah, but, after reading what he said to her before, maybe not--"

"It doesn't matter. If Legacy doesn't want him to see her then I'll make sure he won't even get a glance."

"Jumin..? You sound kinda scary right now. Are you okay?"

"Of course I am. Why would I not?"

"...Oh, um, nothing. For a moment you just sounded really pissed and that's actually scary coming from someone as emotionless as you are. Heh. I wonder if meeting Legacy got you to express yourself more."

"Maybe, who knows... I'll send someone over to your school later to pick you up after classes. Legacy will need you to cheer her up... I'm not sure if I'm someone suited for that so I'll be leaving it to you. I'm going to contact V after this and tell him that she won't be returning to Rika's apartment for a while."

"Whoa! Wait! You're even admitting that there's something you can't do on your own?!"

"Yes. But we're not going to tell anyone about that now, are we?"

".....I feel threatened. Okay. Going to class now! See you guys soon!"
