[Day 2] Falling More In Love With You

Legacy sat boredly on the floor, desperately searching for something to do. According to V, it was best if she didn't touch anything within the apartment. By anything he had meant the classified documents that were kept in Rika's room. Although it seemed easier said than done.

A long sigh drawled out of her lips and she fell on her back, staring at the ceiling with tired eyes. Using her phone the entire morning had irritated them a bit and the prickly feeling of her forming tears were a warning that she should take a break from the screen.

Her mind was full of unanswered questions. Who was she? Why was she led here by some stranger through an app? What did he mean when he called her the new girl?

More importantly, what happened to her memories?

She tried to concentrate on remembering something, anything. Thinking hard about it only gave her a massive headache. So instead she thought about the new people she met yesterday in the chat. Everyone was unusually nice towards her, but she believed that that was because their leader requested them to. The RFA members logged in throughout the day, mostly complaining about their life, or they came to the messenger to kill some time.

There was Zen. Everyone kept commenting about how much of a narcissist he was. It seemed like everyone but Jaehee teased about his narcissism. Legacy wasn't sure which side to take, because she had to admit to herself, he really was a narcissist, but she ended up praising him along with Jaehee. She didn't know why, but she didn't want him to feel insecure about himself, especially when he's so physically flawless.

Yoosung Kim was an interesting one too. He said he was a college student with absolutely no idea what to do with his future. Somehow, she felt like she could relate to him. However his addiction with this game called LOLOL was often talked about and ridiculed by the others. Legacy wasn't sure why, but she didn't want him to feel like he was a hopeless addict like the others did, so she would sometimes bring up about how he was doing in the game to make him feel better.

The only other woman besides her in the organization was Jaehee Kang. She would come to the messenger and complain about her boss or his cat. She was a big fan of Zen and his musicals, turning into a whole different person when talking about him. Legacy couldn't help but support her whenever she was in the chatroom, she also sympathized with her a lot.

As for Jaehee's boss, Jumin Han, everyone referred to him as the C&R director or TrustFundKid or even cat-obsessed freak. Legacy thought of him as a handsome man, but she didn't understand why he and Zen argue whenever the word cat comes into the topic. Actually, no, they just argue over every topic. But she would sometimes ask Jumin about his precious Elizabeth 3rd and his mood instantly brightens up.

Yes, Legacy definitely liked the other RFA members. Their first meeting wasn't at all a great start but she was beginning to get along with everyone.

However there was one member that really caught her attention: the man that calls himself 707.

Seven Zero Seven was a total mystery to her. He was always typing random things, mentioning the strangest topics, and he was always so hyperactive in the chatroom that his excessive energy would tire her out after one conversation. Legacy didn't know what it was about this eccentric individual whom everyone else called a freak, but there was one thing she was sure of. Something about Seven intrigued her. She wasn't sure if it was his unique personality that drew her in, his looks, or even his intellect, all she knew was that she was in love with him at first sight.

"Huh? Someone's in the messenger..." She picked up the device and went to the messenger.

Jaehee Kang

Is anyone online?

Legacy

Jaehee, hello.

Jaehee Kang

Oh, you're here. Legacy, hello.

Legacy

Shouldn't you be working?

Jaehee Kang

I'm on my break at the moment so I thought I would come by and chat for a bit.

Legacy

Okay~ What would you like to talk about?

The two girls enjoyed each other's company in the short amount of time. They talked about Rika and her job before she passed away, how Jaehee got into the organization, and why Zen was such an amazing actor. Legacy felt really sorry for her whenever Jaehee would mention about her amount of work because of her boss' constant ideas for cat-related projects that gave no profit whatsoever to the company.

Juggling her job as Jumin's assistant, taking care of Elizabeth 3rd when he isn't able to, and her own personal life, the poor girl needed a long vacation to relieve all the stress she probably gathered the past two years she had been working for her boss.

Legacy couldn't help but giggle at how the two of them have such a weird relationship. Both are so serious in their work, however, it seemed like Jumin was much stranger than one could think.

Legacy

He did...WHAT?!

Jaehee Kang

Yes. He ditched work and left me to take care of everything. He spent the rest of his hours with his cat.

I feel so tired right now...

But I still have a lot of paperwork to finish.

Legacy

I understand. Take care of yourself, Jaehee.

Jaehee Kang

Thank you so much for listening to me, Legacy. Have a good day.

As soon as she logged off the chatroom, Legacy felt a little closer to Jaehee.

The familiar ringtone played and she looked at the caller ID to check who it was. A picture of a man with red hair and bright yellow eyes came into view, along with the name 707.

"Seven!? Why is he calling..?!" She panicked and pressed the answer button.

"Good morning, my honey~" He spoke in his usual teasing tone. "I woke up thinking about you, you know. You appeared in my dreams last night. Do you think that God was sending me a message from heaven?"

"A-A message of what?" She asked, cheeks starting to turn a light shade of pink.

"Of what?" He repeated, before chuckling amusedly. "Why... A message that we were destined for each other, of course."

Everyone in the RFA knew how Seven loved to joke, but still. She hadn't prepared her heart nor her soul for this yet.

~707's POV~

There was a loud thud from the other line and I jumped at the unexpected sound. I strained my ears to listen but, when I heard no reply from her, I immediately panicked.

"Legacy? Legacy!? Hello??"

The call suddenly ended and my blood turned ice cold in fear. What was that sound!? Did someone break into the apartment? No, that was impossible. Maybe she slipped and hit her head?

I thought hard about what to do. I knew I couldn't send anyone there because the location of the apartment was a secret. But if someone didn't check on her then she might be in big trouble!

"Damn it! What do I do?" I felt angry at myself for not being able to react quickly. My mind was a total mess and I couldn't think straight at all.

After three agonizing minutes and endless self-debate inside my head, I heard the phone ring and I answered as soon as I saw her name on the screen.

"Legacy, what happened--"

An awkward and embarrassed laugh was the first thing I heard. I could feel the butterflies fluttering inside my stomach at the sound of her voice. The panic melted away as she began to explain.

"Sorry about that! I was so surprised about what you said that I fainted!" She said.

I blinked. Did she seriously faint because of that?

"Hey, don't mess with me like that. I thought you had died or something." I huffed and leaned against my chair, draping my arm over my eyes. My heart was pounding in my chest, I hope she couldn't hear it.

"Eh~? If I died, would you miss me?" She replied in a teasing voice.

"If that happened then I'd kill myself so that we would reunite in the afterlife." I said seriously. Then, without missing a beat, I put on a bright smile and added, "We could scare Yoosung together as ghosts! Ah, I'd love to see his reaction~"

Even though I couldn't see her, I felt like she was smiling at my last sentence. My crazy suggestion was rewarded with her melodious laughter, followed by plans on how to trick the poor gamer. Poor Yoosung would be so paranoid that he would stop sleeping at night!

"Okay, all jokes aside. Seven, why did you really call me for~?" She asked me suddenly.

Uh-oh. I couldn't tell her that I just wanted to hear her voice again, could I? Crap. Think. THINK!

"Oh, uhm, uhh, I was... I was put under a spell!!" A spell? What!?

"What kind of spell?" She asked again, almost as if she was genuinely curious to know.

Shit. Think of something, Luciel. ANYTHING THAT POPS INTO YOUR HEAD IS OKAY!!

"I was.... I was distracted from work. Then my hands suddenly began moving on their own..! I didn't even realize that I was calling your number until it was too late.. So shocking, right?" I mentally facepalmed, there was no way she would believe that excuse.

"Wow!! Do you think your phone might be sending some kind of weird signal to your brain to pick it up?! *gasp* IT MUST BE MAGIC, SEVEN! MAGIC!! Seven Zero Seven is a wizard!" She began squealing excitedly on the other line. Seriously. Does this girl even realize how cute she is? Damn...
