"You're going to slide off the chair sitting like that, Zero Seven." Vanderwood scolded lightly.

"This is comfortable." I answered back while staring at the middle monitor.

"You don't seem to be aware of the severity of the situation we're in." Vanderwood continued to pester me, I kept a straight face and groaned in annoyance.

"I want to quit this job." I stated.

"Shut up. You know this is the only way your identity can be hidden." Vanderwood replied to me instantly like he knew I was going to say that.

I closed my eyes and tried to block his irritating voice out of my mind. It was hard to do when he was sitting right beside me and bossing me around every minute. So I began to chant something out loud to help the blocking.

"Mahababamitabul."

"Are you listening to me?" Vanderwood sighed.

"Namuamitabul Hanshimbayabaramitdasi jokyon ohgo plzhelp."

"Hey, are you chanting to Buddha right now? You're Catholic!" He exclaimed.

"I'm trying to concentrate. Leave me alone." I replied to him without looking, my hands clasped together in front of me and I began to shake them like I was warding off some evil spirit. "Sariza sebisgood bullybead lifemathzhard."

"...I'm gonna go out for a smoke so please get back to work."

"Sariza followtehelaw neverendinglife impombetnot..." I opened my eyes to see Vanderwood no longer sitting on the stool beside me and I let out a huge sigh of relief. "She finally left. Hate that she's always watching me."

My thumb started unconsciously tapping the side of my computer mouse and I took a quick glance to where Vanderwood left to make sure she wasn't coming back yet. "I feel really bad about this. I'll just take a check on the server while she's away."

Quickly and quietly I began to check everything, making sure nothing was out of the ordinary. "The RFA server... hmm... Nothing wrong here. The apartment security server... Transparency servery ok, input output okie dokes, last activation of gate security system... good. As for the special security system... Huh?"

Either the numbers seem to appear different or was I seeing it wrong? In a panic I hurried to check the access log and my eyes widened when I saw that the last log was only a few hours ago. The security system had been restarted and reset, which means that someone broke in to the system not too long ago.

"Someone hacked in and changed the system... Shit...!" I cursed under my breath.

This had the most complicated algorithms out of everything else. Sent emails, sent alerts... the hacker that led Legacy to the apartment... and this record. This must all be the same person.

"If this person was active constantly then... Oh! Legacy! She'll be in danger!" I checked the CCTV feed to see if anything happened to her when she went back home. I could feel my hands already sweating as I watched the screen for a sign of her walking back to the apartment safe and sound. "Huh...? Didn't she come home last night? Where is she?!"

The feed showed no evidence of Legacy's return to the apartment at all. My heart started pounding, I was feeling really agitated. When I dialed her number and waited to see if she would pick up, there wasn't even a single ring that got through.

"Did the hacker get to her before she made it back?! N-No wait... Maybe she could still be at Jumin's place. Yeah, that's it." Hoping that my hunch was right, I logged in to the messenger to read of any chats regarding about Legacy's whereabouts. "She was online earlier but she wasn't replying... Did someone steal her phone or something? Did they hurt her?"
