Later that afternoon, rogue agent 707 drove down countless of roads as he followed the location on his GPS. He had been tracking down the hacker ever since he was in Rika's apartment and when the results of the search came up earlier that day, he left the penthouse and made his way to the mountains.

Sitting beside him was Legacy, the girl he once knew outside of the game they currently resided. She was looking out the window in awe at the scenery of the forest.

Saeyoung had to remind himself that she didn't have any of her memories with her, so this was all very new to the girl.

"Enjoying yourself, Legacy?" He asked, placing a hand on her lap and patting it. "You're not bored, are you? Should I turn on the music? I have some CDs here you could listen to."

She laughed at his long list of questions. After all they've been through together these past few days, moments like this with Saeyoung was definitely refreshing.

"I'm curious on what kind of music you have, Saeyoung!" She said, picking out a random CD and inserting it into the slot.

🎶(I just got your messages)

Every morning I wake up to the same sweet sound
Picking up my cell phone that’s been ringing

Wondering what’s new? What have I missed?
I was offline
Anyway I will end up hearing your story

How are you doing today?
Same questions every single day
Please know that I’m not good at asking you.

Your face lights up laughing from the jokes
I’ve made
You would never guess that I am suspicious

(Ticktok Ticktok time is running out.
What are you doing now?)
I don’t know where you are,
Don’t even know your name
They think I’m crazy. My heartbeat goes up.
Words cannot express my love for you.

Did you get mysterious messages?
It’s a piece of the puzzle.
The letters are the only clues to solving
hidden mysteries

Did you get mysterious messages?
If you can feel the trace, that is me. Call me out
I’ve been watching you from the start🎶

Legacy blinked at the familiarity of the tune. "What song is this?" She asked him.

Saeyoung chuckled while rhythmically tapping his fingers against the steering wheel.

"It's the opening song of the game. Mysterious Messenger is what it's called. Very fitting, don't you think?" He said.

"Kind of," she replied, bobbing her head to the music. "It's got a nice bass though. I like it."

Then she began to sing the lyrics like she knew them from heart, waving her index fingers in the air like a conductor on stage. Saeyoung grinned and joined in, making the song into a duet.

As they drove down the mountain road, merrily singing a song that they became accustomed to hearing, a green roof pointing at the sky made them stop. Saeyoung's cheerful expression instantly turned dark as he quietly parked the car nearby.

The sun was starting to set and the shadows created by the dim light made the building all the more eerie in appearance. A symbol of an eye showed at the front of the building.

"Is this the place?" Legacy asked in a hushed voice.

"Seems like it," he answered while glancing at the GPS to make sure he got the right location. "Stay in here. I'm going to check inside."

When he told her this, she pouted and grabbed on to the hood of his jacket as he was leaving the car. Saeyoung choked and sat back in his seat, rubbing his neck and frowning at her.

"What was that for, Legacy?" He coughed out.

"Don't leave me here all alone." She said.

Ah, he couldn't refuse when she looked at him like that. Her big puppy dog eyes and pouty lips... Too cute!

But as much as he wanted to bring her along, he couldn't risk getting her caught by the hacker. Who knows what he was capable of?

"I'll be back in 7 minutes or less. Promise." He told her, making her frown deeper in response.

He sighed.

"I can't take you with me right now..." he said, cupping her cheeks and rubbing his thumbs over her soft skin. "I won't know what to do if something happens to you, Legacy... You understand, don't you?"

Legacy kept the frown on her face as she glared at the redhead, but the vulnerable and worried expression he showed her soon melted away her anger. She reluctantly agreed to his request and he smiled.

"Thank you," he said. "I promise I'll come back for you, okay? Just wait here until then. Jumin and the others should be close behind so run to them if you see anyone besides me coming out of that building."

"Okay..." she mumbled dejectedly, eyes downcast.

"Promise me." He told her, lifting her face up so she would look at him.

Tears were in her eyes and Saeyoung gently kissed her eyelids as she promised.

"Good girl... Hey, come on. Don't cry now." He whispered while she hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go. "I won't be long, okay? Just wait for me. I'll definitely come back to you."

"Okay..." she said, finally releasing him from her embrace.

Saeyoung smiled and quickly moved his face closer, kissing her fully on the lips. The sweet taste of strawberries still lingered from the pancakes she had that morning. He wanted to savor this moment.

He didn't want her to forget him this time; he wanted her to remember that she was his, not anyone else's.

When they finally pulled away from each other, he hurriedly gave her a quick kiss on the forehead before getting out of the car. Legacy watched him disappear into the mysterious castle-like building and prayed that he would come back to her safe and sound.

The minutes seemed like hours when you were the one waiting. It was absolute torture for her.

She wanted to call him and make sure that he was still alive. But if she did and he got in trouble because of her, she could never forgive herself for it.

A faint knock on the passenger side window made her gasp in surprise.

She whirled her head around to find an irritated man with a gun impatiently tapping against the glass. The man was talking to her, asking her something that made her blood run cold.

"Where is that damn 707?!"
