I Can't STAN looking at your face.

Based on a Tumblr. Post.

"Get out, Stanley." Ford said dangerously.

"Sixer, it was an accident! I swear. Please, I got no where else ta go." Lee practically begged.

"I said get OUT!" Ford yelled, throwing some kind of gadget at him.

"Now, Ford. I know-" Fidd's voice cracked as he pulled his collar. "I know he's made mistakes but this does seem a little-"

His voice got caught in his throat when he seen Ford's glare. "Don't defend him. Fool me once, shame on you, Lee. Fool me twice, shame on me for not seeing it sooner. It's the perpetual motion machine all over again!"

Lee's face turned of utter disbelief. "You're still on that? That was years ago, knucklehead!"

"I don't care. GET OUT OF MY HOUSE. AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN UNTIL YOU DO SOMETHING WORTHWHILE FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE." Ford practically screamed, a rare anger had overtaken him. How could Stan do that? That set their project back 5 years.

Lee's face was red as he wiped his eyes. "You're just like dad."

Ford froze, as if realizing what he just did. He kicked his brother out to live on the streets. His own brother. "Stanley, wait."

"Oh, no you don't. You can't unring this bell, Ford." He angrily grabbed his coat. "By now, I'd rather die on the streets than live with such a self centered cynical rich boy scientist brother of mine."

"Stanley, please. I... I apologize. I was upset. Fidds is right I was being to harsh."

By now Lee was exiting the house. "No thank you, I think I'll just live with the scum I AM!"

With that, the door slammed, leaving Ford with his head in his hands and Fidds tense, looking longingly at the door. "I reckon' I should get him?" He asked.

Oh god, what did I do? Even Fidds is messed up about this. His accent returned. His accent. It only returns at the worst of times. Damn it. Ford woke himself from his thoughts. "No. He'll be back."

Three years later

Fiddleford tuned at his bango timidly, occasionally looking up at his partner. He aimed a bit more downwards to the desk and seen their lil' babe Shifty.

"I'll be right back." Ford said happily to the monster. You'd think it was their child. I mean, it's not that Fiddleford would reject raising a child with his best friend, I mean as long as they stayed friends and only friends but... Fidds physically shivered. The thought was kinda weird.

He reaimed his focus back to his tuning and not a minute later he lifted his head to check on the shape shifter. Not that he was worried about or anything. Nope. He didn't care for it better than the son he had. Nuh uh.

If he checked on it for any reason it was for his safety, not it's. And- uh oh.

Fidds froze.

Ford walked in, smiling at a clip board. "Well, Shifty I have multiple tests. For now we'll see if you can use pictures as... a..."

The shapeshifter smiled at it's form through a mirror. He turned around excitedly. "Tada!"

Oh god, he sounded like him too. "Change back."

Fiddleford tensed at the tone and looked worriedly between the two.

The shapeshifter gad taken the form of Stanley and was nervously fidgeting. "But dad-"

Fidd's eyes widened as he gave a questioning look to Ford.

"I said change back NOW." Ford snapped, his fists clenched.

The shapeshifter slowly and sadly morphed back into it's original form.

No one spoke of that incident ever again... to Ford.

Shifty and McGucket, of course, still had a few chats about it.
