Ruby was quiet as his eyes looked around. He had lost the others after an attack and was still looking for them.

"Ruby?" He glanced back before freezing. Dexters. He quickly bolted before something hit the ground behind him. He skidded to a stop before pausing. A large pile of debris had blocked the way. He could hear the Dexters calling out to him before another voice spoke.

"Hey." He whipped around before seeing a younger brunette. "Are you lost?" He nodded slightly before the boy smiled. "Then come with me. I'm sure we can find your companions."

Ruby was quiet as he waited with the boy. They were in some kind of office as the boy, who he had learned was named Blake, made some calls. He then turned to him and smiled.

"Doing ok?" Ruby nodded as he hid behind a file cabinet. Blake hadn't forced him to move and was very patient. "Good. You wait here. I'll get you some food." Ruby smiled as Blake went out, making sure to close the door so no one barged in and scared him.

Meanwhile, Blake went over to Looker, who was studying the board on the case.

"We got Ruby." Looker glanced at him.

"How'd you pull that off?"

"Ruby lost Kari. He currently believes we're looking for her to help him reunite with her. But I need more than that." Looker smiled.

"You getting him food?"

"Yeah."

"Then let me join you. I'll give you an 'update'." Blake smiled as he grabbed some food.

Ruby perked up as the two guys entered. Blake gave the red eyed boy a small container as Looker spoke.

"Yeah, we're still looking, but we found a crime scene." Ruby paused as he listened, watching as Blake gazed at him.

"What kind?"

"Attack. We're not sure if it's mugging or what, but there's blood. We matched it with the person you're looking for." Ruby's heart dropped. His master was attacked? And he had simply lost her. Blake hummed.

"Ok... thanks. Keep me posted." Looker nodded before going out. Blake huffed before smiling at the older boy. "It's ok. We'll find her, ok?" Ruby nodded as he finished the food. "I know someone that'll take care of you until then, got it?" Ruby nodded at that.

Blake smiled as his adopted mother got Ruby to relax. He fell asleep before she went over.

"You say he's under something?"

"Kari did something to make him believe he belongs to her. She's done it with two others as well. More might become victims as well." She hummed as she glanced at the resting boy.

"I'll find something. You focus on the case."

Blake gulped as White and Black came in to check on the case. Him and Looker were looking over the notes when they were led in.

"We need a base... But he's never seen it."

"Darn it... And she'll target others."

"We can't stop her without knowing who." Looker gulped as White spoke.

"Bad time?"

"Very." Blake didn't even think upon the reply. Looker glanced back as Blake sighed. "What do you two want?"

"Just... getting info for an update."

"Tell them there's good news and bad news. But tell them you don't know what it is yet." Black growled.

"Really?"

"The bad news hasn't hit yet. So yes."

Ruby quietly purred as the gentle lady rubbed his back. No updates yet, so she was relaxing him.

"Be careful, Blake."
