"Someone help me, please!"

The screams heard through the forest continued for miles.

The sound of the trees rustling above and around her.

Thud.

A fallen tree tripped her.

"Well, well. What do we have here." A devilish voice smirks.

"SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!" The girl continued to plead and scream.

The person shook their head, "scream all you want. No one will hear you. We are in the National Park."

"Who are you?"

The person cocked their head to the side.

Smack.

"Just take it easy. You'll be okay."

Several months later

"Ten more disappearances within the last three months, have shook the community. Police believe that there are possibly two or more suspects to these cases."

As Sergeant Carter Silverback turns off the tv. His frustration boiled. He's been a sergeant for five years. There haven't been these many cases in a short time spand. His father, grandfather, and great-grandparents found the national park. They sacrifice money and food to preserve the park.

He worked his way up the ladder to become sergeant. His father retired one year after his employment.

"Officer Andrew, report to my office." Carter looked through files stacked on his desk. Giving attention to when Andrew Lakeland entered the room. "Officer Lakeland, thank you for coming in. I have a special assignment for you."

"Yes sir, what is it?"

As he hands over a file. "I need you to investigate into this person life. They may hold answers that we need to end the tear."

Lakeland looked at his boss confused. "Sir, I don't understand. How will this help us?"

"Officer Lakeland, just do as I requested. Everything will fall into place once this is done."

"Yes, sir."

Carter pressed through documents from each case. Every single one with dead ends, no witnesses, no trail of tracks, food, or clothing. He couldn't understand and put a finger on it.

Carter began searching through his last file when a knock on the door starled him.

"Come in."

Carter looked up to see Lakeland and a female of medium height enter his office.

"Welcome! Let's begin!"
