Chapter 5

Max's POV

This got to be my worst day ever.

I'm stuck in a haunted pizzeria with animatronics moving around. I hate jumpscares.

We crawled into the backstage, where there's plenty of empty spare heads of the bear, duck and bunny. "Dude." Adam whispered. "Look."

I turned around to face him and see a Freddy Fazbear's head. I jumped and hissed. "Don't do that! What if I scream?"

"Sorry, I didn't know that you would get so-"

"Please don't."

"Unbearable." He laughed as quiet as he could, using his hand to muffled it.

"Guys? Bonnie's coming." A voice softly crackled over the walkie talkie. What was his name? PJ? TJ?

"Thanks AJ." Adam whispered. "Come on, Max. We need to hide."

We settled to hide behind a set of animatronics bodies on some stands. I hear footsteps. Metal ones. I glare over to Sky, who's hiding besides me. We don't know if they can hear us or smell us...

Bonnie's moving around the room, presumably checking for anyone without a costume since it's against the rules. He went by us befo-

My phone decides to go off, despite the fact that it's disabled. I winced as I turn off the phone. No metal footsteps. That means one thing. They can't hear us.

Bonnie suddenly starts moving towards the door out to the hallway. As soon as the door close, I carefully get out from behind the stands. Adam shortly gets out and said. "Dude, that was close!"

"Yeah." I replied. "My phone we-"

"Why did your phone went off?" AJ's voice rang softly from the walkie talkie. "I thought it was disabled."

"But Bonnie didn't hear it, AJ."

"That's a good thing, I think." Matt's voice, I guess? "If Bonnie didn't take notice to your phone, that means the other animatronics can't hear as well!"

I hear the clock chiming in the background and a "Yes!" from what I think belongs to AJ. Metal footsteps creaked against the floor as they make their way back to the Stage.

"Let's meet up in the office, guys."
