While the pressure was still boiling, Shinki decided to launch his next move against Tenma. He fired off an 'Enraged Beast: Hellhound Spiral' attack, which spiralled violently towards Tenma. To defend against this, Tenma split through the energy attack with his scythes. 

"Finally, you're wide open! High-Level Demon Arts: Despair Blast!" chanted Shinki.

The black and red energy blast shot straight towards Tenma, and he had no way of blocking it. He crossed his two scythes over one another to deflect the damage, but it was not enough and sent him flying into the sky. 

Shinki activates his 'Skywalk' ability and charges in once more. He entered his Raiju form and used 'Enraged Beast: Electrical Blitz' while piercing Tenma's firm skin.

"Good! Very good! However, I know it's not your best dog. Let's see if this is enough to get you serious." taunted Tenma.

"I'm already serious! I will kill you!" threatened Shinki.

"Yeah, yeah. Deathly Scythes: Shinigami's Talons!" yelled Tenma.

Tenma crossed his scythes and then Speedstar'd past Shinki. He cut across Shinki's stomach hard, which resulted in blood pouring out heavily. He slammed his back hard onto the floor and rolled over in pain. 

"He strikes hard, and he does it effortlessly too. I need to tend to my wound too, or I'll die of blood loss."  thought Shinki.

Luckily, Shinki landed near some old rags and used that to wrap his wound. He looked over to Suzuki, who was still down and out, and noticed he was still breathing. He felt a sense of relief and decided to take the next step in his evolution. He finally decided to enter his Inugami Dark form.

All of a sudden, black like lightning surrounded Shinki and sparked intensely. It began to coat itself around him and then change his appearance completely. His short brown hair grew longer and wavy. His teeth grew sharper, and he grew a pair of dark wings. Black markings surrounded his body and grew around his eyes. His eyes also turned from brown to purple. To top it all off, his dark like Demon Energy acted as Demonia coating armour. 

"Now, this is interesting. I can't wait to slay you!" grinned Tenma crazily.

Not saying a word, Shinki takes one step forward and then Flashstar'd past Tenma. In that whole motion, Shinki was able to land a deep cut across Tenma's face, which caught Tenma off guard. Using this to his advantage, Shinki Flashstar'd back to Tenma stabbed him from behind. 

"How cowardly. That's not the samurai way." gibed Tenma.

"Do I look like I care? I'll use any means necessary if it means that I can kill you." Shinki retaliated. 

He left his blade in Tenma and began to recite some demonic words and hand symbols. It seemed to be an ancient language that Tenma couldn't even translate. He tried to remove the blade from his back, but he couldn't do it in time.

"Inugami Dark: The Devouring Canine." chanted Shinki.

The Devouring Canine allows Shinki to forcibly remove Demon Energy from his enemy. The only condition for this to work is that his blade has to be inserted into the body of his opponent. Once Shinki drags the blade out of his target, he can then extract all of their Demon Energy away from them. This will then leave the combatant with Demon Energy deficiency, which will then result in their death. 

Tenma's body felt like it was on fire. He tried to remove the blade, but he had no energy to do so. The only thing Tenma could do is cough up blood. 

"Let me give you a hand and put an end to all of this, Tenma." raged Shinki.

Shinki then slowly removed the blade from Tenma's body. Shinki could see that Tenma was in agony with every millimetre he pulled out. He took his time removing the blade from Tenma. He wanted Tenma to suffer, just like how his friends and family did when he slaughtered them. 

"How does it feel to feel so powerless?" insulted Shinki.

"I'm gonna get killed! Stop!" yelled Tenma.

While looking at him with disgust, Shinki quickly whipped the blade out and pulled away all of his Demon Energy. When he did this, Tenma fell to the ground like a soulless body.

"I've avenged you, guys." wept Shinki as he looked into the sky.

Or so he thought...

Authors Comment: I have finally made progress on the Analyst book! Unfortunately, I don't think that the book will be out by the end of this year, but I am hoping to get it out by late Quarter 1 of next year.
