His warm breath was hovering over my sensitive skin. I felt wet kisses on the exposed shoulder; the dress was providing him with an aid to tease me. My breath was coming up in an uneven manner, my grip on the railing tightening. His touches were making me weak. My mind was acting dumb not having the decency to push him away. His lip was measuring the length of my shoulder, pressing kisses along the way.
I was biting my lips to hold back my moans. I hated myself for enjoying his disgusting touch. His head soon dipped into the crook of my neck, and I stretched my neck in another direction to provide him space. My eyes were shut and my legs were no longer holding me up. I was leaning on him for support. I had completely forgotten my existence, getting lost in his touch.
A small cry of pleasure rolled down my throat, and it electrified the fire in him. Within a swift second, I was turned to face him. Due to his sudden motion, I jerked my eyes open and found his set of hungry orbs staring at me. That lust and desire were quite visible in those set of black orbs. The intensity wasn't decreasing as the stars glittering in the sky make those black orbs sparkle.
His orbs slowly stared at my lips, his eyes darkening. He was making me excited as well as nervous. What the hell, was wrong with me? He inched closer as if he wasn't already towering over me. His lips once again attacked my sensitive skin, kissing, pecking, and groaning at equal intervals whenever a moan escaped from my throat. My hands unknowingly found his hair, forcing him further into my skin. As if I was dying of needs that I wasn't aware I possessed.
Suddenly there was a click of a flashlight, and I was stunned for a minute after a second there was another flash. Mr. Oberoi stood dazed, not moving an inch. I could feel his muscles clenching up. As if he was back to his senses, back to his grumpy self. Within a second I was turned again. His back was facing the railing and soon his face moved that was buried in my neck.
It wasn't only him that was back to his senses but my mind started registering things happened few minutes back. Series of regret covering my brain! What the hell! I lowered my gaze and was going to rush away from him. I was so embarrassed with myself that I didn't had the courage to face his smirking self. I hated the effect he had on me. The way he could control my actions. But before I could make a move, his grip on my waist tightened.
"What the hell do you think, you're doing?" He growled his eyes scanning our surroundings. Those brows frowning in tension. As if he was scared of someone or something. He nudged me further into his chest while I was struggling to get out of his grip.
"Can you act like an adult for once?" He narrowed his eyes at me. I had finally managed to grab his attention as well as his anger.
"Leave me..." He was challenging me to get out of his stronghold.
"I won't..."
"You arrogant...fucking...annoying..." I was cursing him but soon heard a familiar voice that forced me to shut my mouth.
"Shlok!" Tanmay chuckled in embarrassment. "I thought someone was torturing a lady," he laughed.
"Mr Chopra," Mr Oberoi's orbs were narrowing as if he had anticipated an interruption. "What are you doing here in such darkness?" He had the guts to question him when we were found in such a misunderstanding position. I again attempted to struggle in his hold but he still wasn't loosening it. The darkness surrounded us and I was facing Mr. Oberoi so Tanmay couldn't glance at my face.
"I could inquire the same but... your reason is before my eyes." I was feeling disgusted by his comments. Maybe it was felt by Mr. Oberoi as he glanced at me for a second before returning it back to Tanmay.
"It would be better if you mind your own business..." In his voice there was a hidden warning, Tanmay chuckled in response.
"My lips will be sealed," he muttered and walked away humming a tone. A very familiar tone, but I couldn't pinpoint the lyrics or name the song.
I sighed in relief, what he would have thought of me if he had glanced at my face? Black orbs were soon fixed on me, scanning or was he reading me? The thought itself sacred me. I again attempted to stir in his grip. "You better stay away from him." Mr. Oberoi muttered making me stare at him in confusion. He pulled his hand away from my waist, gesturing me to move.
I took a step away from him. Waiting for further clarification of his sudden warning, he removed the suit rather than continuing with the statement. "Wrap it around yourself," he commanded again.
What does he think of himself? Does he own me? I stare at the piece of the suit he had extended toward me. "I won't be able to carry your branded outfits," I muttered and was going to walk off when he grabbed my wrist.
"Is someone's ego wounded?" He mocked but his mischievous smirk was replaced with a silly smile. I couldn't believe my eyes! He was smiling, at me? Was it for real? What a miracle! He leaned further, those warm breaths provided a sense of protection. I couldn't reason why his proximity could make me feel secure. Soon something heavy was placed on my shoulder. "Wear it," his brow crooked in a manner as if he was curious to know if I would obey.
"Why?" a voice came out much softer.
"People are ogling over you."
"Haven't you gifted me this dress? So, you shouldn't be complaining about..."
"Why would I?" He frowned, "I don't like people staring at what's mine..." he leaned further toward my face. Pressing a small kiss on the corner of my lips, "get safely to your room." He stared at me for a response but I was dazed by his action. Had he just? My hands slowly made their way toward my lip, my eyes widening in surprise. Some groans escaped from Mr. Oberoi, surely he was losing patience with me. But I wasn't the only one to be blamed for it? Who asked him to...? What? I should be scolding him. What was I even doing?
And before I could open my mouth for an argument. I heard a masculine voice beside me, my eyes glanced at the source. He seemed much bigger in height as well as weight compared to me. He was covered in black jeans and a black shirt. Scorn covered his face.
"You're going to look after her."
"What?" I shouted as I had finally found my words. "What the hell, are you planning?" I grumbled as Mr. Oberoi was ignoring my presence. "I had known it days back. You aren't just a businessman. Something is up! You have some illegal things going up. You..."
"Should I give her some chloroform?" The guard beside me interrupted my rants. I widen my eyes in horror. What were they going to do with me? Were they going to kidnap me? I hadn't anticipated Mr. Oberoi was that dangerous. I would have shut myself up. Why I had to land myself in trouble?
"Do you want it, Kitten?" He raised his brow, the devil smirk was back. I shook my head making him chuckle. "Look after her each step," he gave another piece of instruction before disappearing in thin air.

I kept moving though, my mind was finding any alternative to escape. I couldn't trust the human following behind me. His intense orbs were fixed on my back, making the hair around my neck rise. With fear, anxiety, and uncertainty! I was trying to mask a smile as I was strolling around strangers. I was so clueless, what the heck Mr Oberoi was planning? Why did he ask his guard to spy on me? What had I done? Were they going to kill me? But what was my fault?
I was praying silently that I won't come across Diya. The guard hadn't pointed any pistol against me yet I felt my life was a trigger away. I wasn't sure why I was shivering but I felt a deep anxiety covering my heart.
"Aachal!" I heard a familiar voice. My head turned in that direction, a growl escaped from the guard next to me. The panic rose in me. Were they going to target Diya? I turned to spare a glance at the guard, pleading to him through my eyes.
"Where have you been, idiot?" Diya screamed in my ears as she pulled me into a hug. "I was searching for you at every corner. You weren't even receiving my calls." She was complaining pulling away from me.
"I..." I was bringing myself together to form clear words in my mind. "I forgot my phone in the room."
"Never mind..." she pressed a smile but soon a frown was placed on her face. She stared at the coat around me, her eyes frowned in tension. Those orbs slowly found their way to the man standing some distance away from us but not making an attempt to move. "Is there something?" She sounded suspicious as she looked between the coat and the guy.
I was in dilemma about whether sharing was a good idea or not? I was hardly aware of the situation and she won't believe me that her crush was involved in illegal stuff. I wasn't in a position to prove myself correct or have a serious debate with her on the matter but seemed like the guard accompanying me had better ideas.
"This lady over here met with some accident so I helped her up with those perverts." He shrugged his shoulder as if he hadn't just lied to Diya on the face. I couldn't ever understand the skill of lying as I was never good at it. Mostly I hate doing it. Hiding things from people who trusted me. But at the moment it was necessary to keep Diya safe from any danger that was lurking at me.
"Oh! My!" Diya exclaimed, pulling me into another hug. "Are you fine?" She questioned in concern. "That was the reason you looked so pale." Diya shook her head, "I had ordered you to rest but no, you had to act stubborn." Diya was ranting and a growl escaped from the guard. Diya was too busy with her worries to notice his displeasure but I needed to grab hold of the situation.
"Diya, I am so tired can we leave this for some..." I muttered sounding exhausted. I wasn't faking it. I was drained after everything that had taken place within a few minutes. My mind needed rest, to recollect, to process. What the hell, was even happening?
"Oh! I apologize, I was so worried that it simply got out of my mind." Diya passed a smiled at the guard in gratitude. "Thanks for helping my friend. We won't trouble you more..."
"I have to see that she gets into the room."
"But actually, there is no need, I will look after..." I interrupted Diya.
"I can handle myself, Diya. You go and look after the event. The engagement might start anytime. We both disappearing from the venue won't be a good idea. We had pissed Mr. Oberoi enough," I pleaded to her making her confused but she wasn't going to argue as she was aware I was voicing out facts.
"Are you sure, you don't need me?" I blinked my eyes in assurance. She smiled, hugging me for the last time and sparing a curious glance at the guard. I could feel that she was suspicious about him but had let it slide and I was thankful to her for it.
I sighed in relief as I saw her disappearing in the corner. "She is tough-crack to handle!" Commented the guard making me glare in his direction but I sealed my lip not wanting to further lead into trouble.
I moved not wanting to share any moment in his presence, to get into my room and escape from his intense gaze. I unlocked the room getting inside it, what I hadn't anticipated was the guard standing at the entrance and blocking me from shutting the door. "Your instruction was to follow me to my room. Don't you dare get inside the room?" I warned him not wanting to trust him at all.
He narrowed his eyes at my threat, "I am not kidding."
His face had the same scowl, "orders ma'am..." he whispered, keenly observing my room though I was on his way but my small figure couldn't block much from his eyes.
"Orders?" I inquired confused.
"Orders to check the box you received the dress in." He muttered I was so stunned to react that he simply pushed open the door further and walked inside without touching a hair of mine.
"Is this the box, ma'am?" He inquired further grabbing me out of my thoughts. I gave a slight nod as he took the box along with him and walked out without sparing another glance at me. What was he going to do with the box was beyond me. I just shut the detective's mind on rest because I was exhausted and I wasn't going to further test my nerves.
