Chapter 25 - The Past
*Continue from Flashback*
Yoongi's POV
It's been over a week now since I started bullying Chim, he hates me but I still love him with every piece of my soul. And still, I hate seeing him cry to the floor, his loud screams to make it all stop, the hatred in his crescent moon eyes and the pain he received because of me but that's part of the deal that cannot be reversed no matter how much I regret it.
My name is Min Yoongi, the most selfish person you will ever meet.
I made the boy who trusted me the most hate me forever and that's all because of my greediness and how selfish I became to keep him by my side for a second longer. I can't lose him, I know...but I already feel like I lost my Chim Chim.
He has become everything for me. My life? I can give it to him, the world or whatever he ever wishes to conquer and have it inside his cute little hands, I can give it to him and yet I ruined his happiness for my own.
If someone would be so daring to ask me where's that kind caring boy who wouldn't hurt a single fly gone, what did the loving Min Yoongi turned into? I say...
"He's dead, I killed him."
"Min Yoongi stop it right now!" Mrs Min screams in her high pitched voice, frightened at the scene of her son who had gone completely crazy and out of order.
"No, don't tell me what to do!" Yoongi arrogantly yelled back as he continues to break the expensive vases by throwing them directly to the floor, ripping the curtains into different pieces and knock out anything near him.
"Y-you are bleeding! stop it please." Mrs Min voice cracked as she let her worn-out body falls helplessly to the floor, weeping for her sugar boy back.
"I don't give a single fuck!" The 13 years old chuckles hysterically at his crying mother before observing the red bloodstream that runs down his ruined pale knuckles.
However, Yoongi clenched his jaw once again when the image of his Chim Chim crying nonstop whilst his head was being pressed down to the ruined wooden desk entered his sickened mind, so he grabs onto the nearest chair and swung it to his right.
The horrible sounds of glass crashing violently to the floor and breaking into sharp separate vulnerable pieces that rang like broken bells throughout the unsettled mansion where peace has been banished, Yoongi's mother eyes widen in terror.
Yet soon, another sound of keys being hurried to get into its correct hole made Yoongi broke out a loud scream as he watches how the door struggles to open itself like his Chim Chim who tries squirming his way out of the bullies grip but failed as Yoongi stares from afar, unable to step in and save his young innocent love like every other time.
"Min Jae!" Mrs Min called out to her husband, voice dried like a dessert from telling her son to stop this madness.
"Son!"
"I'm not your son hahaha, I'm not the old Yoongi anymore! I'm a fucking monster!" The boy hoarsely shouted back before throwing the family photo that was once placed on the high up shelves to recklessly land on the ground.
Its frame-breaking into two wooden pieces as the cutting glasses cannot be compared to other bigger harmful ones which surrounded the vulnerable boy who refused to surrender.
"You are not my father anymore and you! You are not my mom."
"Guards! Bring Min Yoongi to his room right now!" Mr Min shouted with a deep angry voice as he stared at his son with cold eyes that lack of warmth, the warmth Yoongi needed coming from Chim Chim's touch whenever the latter would gladly offer to walk him home while holding hands. "I'm disappointed in you son."
Once Yoongi's father order was given, the guards immediately rush into action and harshly hold the unacceptable boy down by his shoulders and upper arms.
"LET GO OF ME, Dickheads!" Yoongi cried out as he gets dragged upstairs with force.
The difference in hold that came from his father's big men and not his Chim Chim's ones that would weakly pull him everywhere, around the neighbourhood or in the park, Yoongi would gladly be dragged to any places as long as the latter was the one who didn't let his hand go.
20 minutes later...
*In Yoongi's Room*
"C-chim... Chim Chim...w-where are you?" The black-haired boy sobbed against his brought up knees that were shaken yet kept still near his heaving chest as countless tears drip down his pale face.
*Knock Knock*
"Yoongi ah, your food is here." Mrs Min softly spoke from outside the locked door.
"I'm not hungry." The crying son answered quietly as he hugged himself even more tighter than before.
"But you have to eat..." Yoongi's mother gently sighed, supporting her head against the white painted walls while grimacing at how her son's stomach has been empty the whole day, making her mother instincts badly kicks in.
"I said I won't eat." The sullen boy sharply fires back again but this time, his tone was deep as the sea's bottom and cold like a frosted lamb which was the opposite of the cooked one on Yoongi's plate.
Taken aback by surprise because of her son change of tone while speaking to her, Mrs Min's heart clenched like Yoongi's two fists at how her sweet sugar boy turned into what they call 'monster'.
"I will leave it here then." Mrs Min murmured gently with a soothing voice before placing the food down in front of her son's door and finally left with one heavy heart.
*4 weeks later*
After weeks that flew by like droplets of tears, Yoongi became extremely skinny since he rarely ever eats and his skin was paler than usual from the lack of sunlight as he had refused to step out into the outside world and get a pathetic flashback that would be his another daily reminder of his cute little Chim Chim.
Also, there are grievous dark circle under his eyes which made him look even more like a depressed panda.
But if you haven't guessed, the boy was never polite again. Yoongi started swearing in his every sentence at a very young age, he never said thank you or greet anyone with a smile which surely earns him scoldings from Mrs Min who takes her son's differential very crucially.
Lifeless and dull like an uncoloured child's drawings, the 13 years old only talks if he had to but what Yoongi himself didn't expect is to stop going to school and the reason for that is simply because he can't face Jimin anymore, not after what he did.
Even if he goes to school, he will only be bullying the cute male and feel that guilt erupting like an unreleased volcano all over and over again so why not just quit it then? Jimin hates him now, he won't talk or even look at him in the eyes...
There's no point in going to school.
*2 years later*
"Hyung stop drinking!" The brunette pleaded while grabbing strictly onto his hyung's jelly-like arm.
"F-for fuck sake Jungkook, l-let me...let me drink!" Yoongi drunkenly slurred out as he leaned down with his entire body that looked like it could fall down at any minute and reach his long fingers to take another gulp of his rich whiskey. "Let's c-cheer for C-him Chimmy."
"Hyung enough! he's not gonna come back! l-let him go." Jungkook yelled to get his Yoongi back to reality while taking the whiskey out of the elder's hands just so he could throw it to the floor, fed up with this repeated behaviour of his drunken hyung.
Meanwhile, Yoongi's lonely eyes followed where the dark green whiskey bottle had landed on the tiled mini square floor and easily shattered into triangular pieces.
"N-no...he will come back, Chim will fucking come back! h-he will, right?" The dark-haired male sobbed hard onto the younger's shoulder as he let his unstoppable tears stained the male's big leather jacket but after a couple of minute of silent cries, he quickly drifted off to sleep.
"I should have left you to get beaten up on the street that day." Jungkook heavily sighed as he proceeds to carry his drunk hyung home like every other day.
*End of Flashback*
End of Yoongi's Pov
Jimin's POV
Impatient for answers, I waited for Yoongi to begin his side of the story with curiosity that I had been carrying with me for the past few years up until now.
After taking a deep breath in, Yoongi then told Jimin what happened at the park but as he came to that specific part where he regrettably told Mrs Park that he has been having a pretty gay crush on her beloved son, Yoongi skipped it.
It's not like he did not want to tell Jimin who deserves to know every truth but it's just that he would hate to rush things, even if there's no chance between them at all.
"So my mom is the reason why you bully me?"
"I can't blame it all on her but I'm sorry Chim ah, I was so selfish and I- I just didn't want you to leave so I did all those nasty things to you just so you could hate me and stay."
"Also, really saying that you are ugly is a big fat lie, your cheeks were chubby but they are super adorable, your eyes are small but they are like two beautiful crescent moons, your nose is what people would die for, your lips are plump and kissable-" Suddenly, Yoongi paused when he heard soft sniffles coming from the latter which made his heart soften as he then part his lips again to end the words he has been wanting to say.
"So in conclusion, you are Park Jimin, you are gorgeous in your own ways but perfect in my eyes."
My heart was racing fast at that moment I never thought would arrive, the day where all my questions have been answered and those sincere words that came from the elder's mouth and not long gone insults.
"I should've let you go...If I did, you won't be hiding like this and live a much better life." Yoongi softly sighed, thinking back to the past mistakes that he wishes to not commit.
"But I'm grateful that you didn't." Making the elder male's eyes widening from surprisation, Jimin smiled as he takes a step closer and pulled his friend into a warm embrace. "Silly if you let me go, we wouldn't meet ever again. My Kumamon, I'm happy that your back and I missed you so freaking much."
"I missed you too my Chim Chim." Breaking into a small smile that lies thousands of reason of happiness behind them, Yoongi hugged Jimin back tightly as he takes a deep calm breath in of the male's sweet perfume that relaxed him.
"Did you know the view here looks so ugly when I see you." The elder teased with a cheeky smile even if what he said is pure facts that can't be denied.
"Why are you being so cheesy?" Blood rushing straight up to his reddening cheeks, Jimin shyly pushed Yoongi off him.
"I mean it!" Yoongi strongly argued before turning to look at the city of Seoul in this memorable night and shouted into the mystic distance where all his words could get lost in but never forgotten.
"PARK JIMINIE IS SO MUCH MORE PRETTIER THAN YOU!"
"Aish ahahaha stop hyung! you look like an idiot." The masked male couldn't control his laughter as he kept on watching the man in front of him yelling into nowhere like a crazy man.
"An idiot for you." Yoongi proudly winked, happy to be Jimin's one and only idiot.
*Next day*
This sunrise morning, this day that was just like every other day seemed so much enlighten just by the effect of his words which was proven to left an impact as I excitedly woke up, feeling much more confident in myself than ever.
Rushing to take a quick shower, I cannot stop replaying Yoongi's sincere words as a small blush crept up on my cheeks for the rest of the shower which I then soon finish and head over to my mirror just to stare into my own reflection.
Eyes slowly trialling off to glance down meaninglessly at the mask&suglasses placed on my nightstand, I switched my eyes back to the reflection before my lips soon curve up into a bright smile.
"I look perfect in Yoongi's eyes and that's what matters." Jimin hummed to himself as he gladly picked up the mask&sunglasses just to gaze observing at it for one last time before throwing those away into the recycle bin. "I don't need you anymore."
Putting on a little makeup like how Taehyung would usually do them on him whenever he's bored, Jimin's smiled did not disappear for a split second as he heads downstairs and looks at the pink sticky note on his fridge.
"Eat Jiminie." from Yoongi
Taking out the food Yoongi has prepared for him, Jimin sat down and taste the feeling of eating his first ever breakfast in 6 years with no regrets or worry if he would gain weight or not because after all, Yoongi doesn't care, all he cares for right now is Jimin making sure to not skip any meals.
Humming his favourite tune, the confident overloaded Jimin grabs his yellow school bag and exit his house door, breathing lungs full of fresh morning air before taking a short journey to 'Hell'.
*At School*
"Where did all my confidence go?" Jimin muttered under his breath while hiding behind some thick green bushes. "I can't do this."
However when Jimin swiftly turned around, getting ready to run back home and grab his mask&sunglasses from the bin, he saw no one other than the Min Yoongi who was standing there, hands in his ripped jeans pocket with his signature smirk.
"Jiminie, were you gonna run away?" Yoongi intimidatingly asked, making sure to step closer to the male who surprisingly didnt have his mask&sunglasses on today.
"N-no I- just...yeah fine I was." Jimin groaned in defeat before noticing how Yoongi was staring at him so intensely.
"You done staring?" The latter crossed his arms over his chest as he raised a brow at the elder who immediately snapped out of the staring session.
"Hm? um yes, let's go." Embarrassed since he got caught dazing off to the male's pretty little features, Yoongi starts walking ahead to the entrance gates but he soon got pulled back by Jimin's tiny hand that was gripping so harshly onto his black ripped jumper.
"Help me please." The younger pleaded.
"Pshh just holds onto my arm and you will be just fine." Yoongi grinned with swag as he taps once on his left arm, wanting Jimin to touch him there like when they were younger.
"No, that will attract more attention." Jimin whined with a squeaky voice as he shooked his head from left to right at the elder's idea.
"If you go in alone that would attract much more attention." Yoongi thought to himself before he thinks of another plan that the younger will surely agree on without making those cute whiny sounds the elder could listen to all day.
"How about you go first then I will be right behind you and if anything happens, I could safe you that way."
"Genius." Jimin commented as then calm himself down before marching his way towards the school entrance with Yoongi following behind with a big proud smile on his face.
Girl : Is he new? gosh I think I found my future husband.
Girl 2 : Damn, why do I feel ugly by just looking at him.
Girl 3 : Omg he is looking at me?
As Jimin walked further, he noticed that some of the students were whispering nonstop but unfortunately, he couldn't make out a single phrase of what they were saying and that's when his bad thoughts kick in.
"Was Yoongi hyung wrong? Do I look ugly?" Jimin thought to himself as he frowned while turning around to see Yoongi who as promised was trailing behind like his guardian, keeping close eyes on him and him only.
"H-hyung, what are they whispering about?"
"That an angel has fallen from heaven."
