Breath VS Breathe
I mess this up all the time too. But I need to add this to this book. A lot of books I've read have these words mixed up.
Breath
/breTH/
noun
Breath means to inhale air, simple
Ex: She took a deep breath or Every breath you take (from the song)
You are doing an action and using your lungs to pull air into you.
--------------------------------
Breathe
/brēeT͟H/
verb
Breathe means the cycle of inhaling and exhaling air.
Ex: He is breathing
A living thing is inhaling air and exhaling it in order to live.
--------------------------------
Breath is an noun, cause it's a thing
Breathe is a verb, cause it's an action
Examples:
Breath: Deep breath, she took a shaky breath
Breathe: You need to breathe, Breathe in breathe out
I mix those up all the time so I decided to write about it.
Love, Mya/Milheaven ❤
