Sagittarius and Virgo
✰Violet's POV✰
I rushed into math class, knowing I was gonna be late.
Ms. Brown frowned at me as I entered, and I sent her an apologetic smile back. It was middle of the year, but I wasn't too worry about learning so I let my mind wander to the new people I met this morning. It was pretty overwhelming, since like I said; I didn't have any friends.
I wasn't used to being surrounded by four other people at once. Would we become friends, possibly?
I stopped thinking about them. That was a very low possibility. Ignoring Ms. Brown and her rant on how to do some sort of geometry properly (like I said, wasn't listening), I looked around the class.
Two new people, I noticed. This was literally freaking me out. I've seen Jack in school before today, just never talked to him. But 5 new people in one day... And somehow, they knew each other?
One was a really smart-looking guy. He had short black hair, he was kinda skinny, and was wearing a plaid button-up shirt and dress pants. I sadly couldn't see his eyes from here, he was paying attention to Ms. Brown.
Not really trying to be stereotypical here, but he seemed like a complete nerd. But not the geeky kind, one of those people who practically knew too much.
The other new person was a girl. Her hair was blonde as well, and in a ponytail. She was wearing skinny jeans and a t-shirt with what looked like Xbox buttons on it. Now she was most definitely a geek.
I liked her, she seemed kinda like me.
Only thing was, I didn't like video games like she possibly did.
I like books. Romance, Fiction, Sci-Fi, Horror...
And soon enough the bell rang and class was over, and I was still in a trance.
The nerdy guy stayed behind to talk to Ms. Brown most likely, while the geeky girl revealed the cell phone she was shockingly playing on the whole time.
Damn, she was evil.
I got up after packing up my unused books, and smiled when she looked down at me. She was pretty tall, too.
I was actually surprised myself. I was never this confident, I usually just hid in the corner all the time.
"H-hello." I said slowly, looking up.
She smirked slightly, but I saw surprise through her eyes- which were light blue.
"Hi." She answered, then focused on plugging in her earbuds.
"I'm Violet... J-Jordan." I said to her, looking away. I'm pretty shy.
"Sagittarius. I know, long. Just call me Tari." She sighed as she plugged one in.
I nodded. "I've met your friends, I think... Leo, Libra and Gemini?"
Sagittarius chuckled. "You could say that."
"Why have you all come today, on the same day...?" I asked out of curiosity.
She eyed me suspiciously. "You could say we're... Housemates. We all moved here."
"Oh. Okay." I nodded. "You play Xbox?" I asked, gesturing to the logo on her shirt.
She nodded, excitedly. "Do you?"
"Sometimes. Usually with my little brother, he's practically in a relationship with it. Wonder when the radio is?" I joked, and she laughed. It made my heart swell to hear someone laugh, not at me- but with me.
The nerdy guy snapped his head when he heard Saggittarius's laugh, it somehow startled him.
He walked over. "What is amusing you two?"
"Oh, nothing. What's your name?" I asked as I stopped laughing.
He sighed, a little disappointed. "Virgo."
"Nice, but can either of you explain to me why you're named after astrology signs? All of you?" I raised me eyebrows, questioning them.
Virgo frowned. "It's the name we were each given at birth."
I grumbled, accepting that answer. Until I realized I was late for SCIENCE class now too!
I said a quick goodbye, threw on my bag and rushed to the science lab.
As I ran, I thought. There was 12 zodiac signs, right?
That meant I still had 7 to meet.
I couldn't wait.
