"Killer capital USA, after a week of terror shadyside continues to live up to its twisted nickname, clad in a Halloween skull mask, shadyside high graduate Ryan Torres kicked off the days of terror with a massacre at the mall, and now a already mourning community is plunged into horror yet again as the sheriff's department reports more carnage at east union medical. Police believe the murders were fueled by amphetamines. Local teenagers Kate Schmidt and Simon kalivoda are the primary suspects, the scene of the final carnage was the local grocery store. Sheriff nick Goode found the grab bag soaked in blood and broken dreams."

The reporter on the Berman's tv finished there sat on the couch was penny berman formally known as penny white.

hearing one of the countless alarms her and her wife had set up go off she stood up and went to turn it off. Sitting on the table a piece of paper sat and it read 'it's happening again'.

Turning off the alarm labeled 'dinner' she walked over to the table where her wife had just set up the microwave dinners and alcohol on the table, sitting down in front of the food she looked up to her wife and said a short "Thankyou"

her wife smiled but then looked at penny's saddened face "I told you not to watch the news on the recent killings" she told penny as she continued eating "I know but I just can't believe she's gone" penny mumbled as she took a sip of her drink "I know baby but watching those things and getting more upset about it isn't gonna bring her back" the other berman told her wife "yeah I know" penny frowned just then the alarm to lock the doors went off.

Both woman got up out of there chairs and went to the different locks around the house making sure that they were all secure but major Tom the girls dog kept barking and barking wanting his own dinner "major, Jesus" penny heard her wife say to the dog and she locked the living room windows.

"god damn it" penny heard and then the alarm to feed the dog turned off "you're an impatient bastard, aren't you?"penny heard as she rounded the corner, "come on let's watch some tv" penny smiled as the couple walked into the living room.

Both woman were asleep on the couch while mayor will Goode was spilling some stupid speech about Sunnyvale on the tv, the couple was cuddling peacefully until they heard a loud knock at the door waking them both up.

Penny turned to her wife with a confused look, Olivia was dead.. nobody else would be knocking at the door at this hour other than her then suddenly a bright light came through the mail slot and moved around to the windows.

"it's okay, you stay here. I'm gonna keep us all safe, okay" pennys wife whispered to major Tom as she put him in the closet to keep him safe. Hands clasped together the woman heard rattling at the door then the window being pushed open and a figure climbing through penny grabbed a knife while her wife pushed whoever was coming through the window down onto the floor

"don't fucking move" penny yelled towards the person pushing her wife behind her "wait, wait" the person on the floor yelled "stop, please! Please! We called you" the person on the ground said in a panic.

A memory shot through pennys head "hello, my name is deena Johnson, we need to know how you survived!" Deena yelled into the phone "hey! We're being attacked, alright? There are killers here!" Josh yelled too "pick up! We need your help" "please" the memory faded away as penny remembered hearing the voice message.

A memory shot through the other bermans head "hello?" deena asked "you're still alive" she replied "you're c. Berman" deena whispered As the memory faded Penny lowered the knife she held and looked at deena and josh "why the hell would you come here?"

Deena opened her trunk to reveal Sam tied up growling like an animal "no!" C. Berman yelled as she backed up from the car pulling penny with her "no, no, no! You need to leave! Right now! You have no idea what you are doing!" She continued as the woman tried to walk back to their house.

"wait! Yeah, exactly you two are the only people who knows what we're dealing with" deena tried to persuade them "which is why I don't want that thing near me or my wife. Get that car and 'it' off my property" c. Berman told deena "her name is Sam, you could have both watched us dead on the six o'clock news, but you didn't, you called us back" deena told the bermans in front of her

"we can't help you with this!" Penny told deena "you are our last chance! What if it were Olivia?" Deanna asked penny as her eyes clouded with tears "The witch -" deena was cut off "no, I'm sorry" pennys wife told deena as she tried to walk past her again "'my girlfriend is possessed by her and tied up in a trunk, but you.. you saw her and you survived, what was different? Please, maybe something happened to you, something that can help us stop her" deena tried to reason

as penny walked back over to where Sam was looking inside he trunk josh whispered "I'm so sorry about Olivia, from what I heard she was really nice" "thanks" penny smiled at him "there's not! You can't stop her, run as far as you can, as fast as you can, that is your only chance" c. Berman told her as she continued trying to walk inside her house.

Penny walked over and stood behind deena ready to follow her wife "look, I can't just run, look, Sam.. I can't let her die, I won't.. I love her please, you two of all people should understand that" deena pleaded c. Berman looked from deena to her wife who was walking past deena and towards her remembering what penny did for their love all those years ago.

she looked at deena "fine, just keep her away from me, my wife and major Tom" she said as the two woman walked toward the house to go back inside.

The two woman could hear Sam grunting upstairs "it's completely fine, she's tied up in the bathroom so she totally can't leave now, we're cool" josh said as a roar came from Sam "yep cool" he continued as the two woman sat on the two person arm chair "take a seat" penny told deena and josh as they did so the other Berman started telling their story.

"in shadyside, the past is never really the past" she said as she flipped over the pages of a book "this was July twelfth, summer of 1978.. the first day of camp" she continued and then slammed a picture onto the coffee table "a week later my sister was dead" both deena and josh looked down at the pictures it was a wooden sign that said 'nightwing' on it and three girls standing next to the sign and on the bottom read
'July 12th 1978'
