7 - Is It Over?
It's hard to tell if Yoongi's angry because his expression remains blank as he moves away from his spot. Hoseok and Namjoon give him a questioning look as they kept on with their performance.
A little bit later, Elin walks to where you are and she asks you to go back to your table.
"What were you doing over there?" Elin asks you as soon as you got back.
"We were just talking." You reply with a shrug.
Jay joins you with a can of sprite. "Here, drink this, instead of your somaek."
"Why?" You ask him. You didn't mean to be such a pain in the ass to everyone but you're honestly hurt over what you've seen earlier.
"Because Yoongi asked me before he went on stage." He replies.
You thank Jay but gave another snort when you turn to look at Yoongi on the stage. Crystal is performing with them again. Her arm goes around Yoongi's shoulders as she sings. You roll your eyes as her hand goes at the back of his head running it through his hair. You didn't bother to watch their performance on stage. Just as their second song with Crystal started, you decide it was time for you to leave.
"I'm leaving." You tell Elin. Your cousin and her boyfriend had something planned for the night so she's not coming home with you.
You already know your way around and you know it's safe to take a taxi even if you're alone.
"You're not waiting for Yoongi?" Your cousin asks you.
"Nope, he's busy." You reply flatly.
"Let me see you home." Jay offers and you politely refused. After a couple of minutes of argument with the two, they finally let you have your way.
Riki catches you when you were on the last step of the stairs towards the exit. "Are you leaving?" He asks.
"Yes, I'm tired." You reply with a smile.
"Yoongi's not coming with you?"
"I don't think so." You reply. You're still mad and you don't feel like talking with him at the moment. You do not want to spoil whatever he and Crystal planned for the night.
"I thought we were going to have fun tonight." He tells you. His eyes glints with lust but you're not interested.
Riki is cute but you can tell he's a player, he's got the same aura your previous boyfriends had. But then again, you never thought Yoongi would be playing you too.
"Sorry if I gave you the wrong signal, but no." You touch his arm in apology before giving him a smile.
Yoongi emerges from the stairs breathing heavily. His eyes land on you then on Riki. He walks toward the two of you, his eyes not leaving yours as he did. You tilt your chin up stubbornly showing no signs of intimidation at all.
"Going somewhere?" He asks you.
"None of your business." You reply folding your arms before you.
Yoongi turns to Riki and gives him a cold stare. The other man steps back even though he is at least half a foot taller than him.
"I'll give you guys some privacy so you can talk." He said before walking away.
Yoongi turns to you. "Let's go."
You wanted to give him a sassy reply, but you realize there were other people around you and even if you were mad, you didn't want to make a scene. You don't know where he plans to talk but you just assumed that it'll be at the roof deck, so you headed in that direction. He keeps a distance from you, and you do not even bother to turn to look at him.
When you get there, he starts talking. "What's with the attitude?"
"I am mad at you, that's what. If you do not want me around you anymore, have the balls to tell it straight to me. Don't go sneaking behind my back." You glare at him as you speak. You didn't realize how seriously hurt you were about seeing him and Crystal together until now.
"What the hell are you talking about?" He asks you.
You scoff at him. "You and Crystal, I saw the two of you at the stairs. I was wondering why you didn't show up at the table after your set. Your friends obviously knew something that I didn't. What's been happening between the two of you, huh?"
They usually rehearse two hours before their gig and another two on their day off. You've never gotten a chance to be there because you're usually with your grandmother or your dad. It's between those times the two of them obviously have gotten close.
Your anger's giving you a hard time concentrating on how you're constructing your sentences. You end up using both English and Korean as you talk. You don't care anymore whether he understands what you're saying. Your action speaks for itself.
When he remains silent, you start to walk away.
"Where are you going?"
"Home, where else?" You reply as you half turn to him.
"You and Riki what was that about?" He asks, his tone showing he isn't as calm as he looks.
You fold your arms in front of you. "It's not very hard to find someone to replace you, Yoongi. If you can screw around with Crystal, so can I."
His eyes squint at you after your statement. "Oh yeah? Fine go ahead, see if he'd care about you in a week."
You give a bitter laugh. "At least it'll take him a week. You lasted only for three days!"
Your whole body is shaking from all the emotions you're feeling. You head towards the door as you feel the tears start to build. Damn it, you tell yourself, why do you have to care so much for him in the first place? You haven't even known each other for that long yet.
"If you leave then that means we're done." He tells you.
"Fine, then it's over." You reply as you pull the door and start descending the stairs.
Your tears starts falling and you wipe them with the back of your hand. You're relieved to find a taxi passing by the road not long after you exit the building.

Three days passed and you didn't hear a word from Yoongi. Sounds like things are really over between the two of you. Six more days and you're leaving, you go on with your schedule, ignoring the nagging feeling over having ended things with Yoongi abruptly, without having a proper talk. You really have to work on that part of your behavior, when you're upset you act so rashly, you're too impulsive.
You get a long lecture from your sister when you told her what happened.
"So you just walk out just like that? Wow, sis, what are you ten years old?" She tells you.
You bury your face in your hands. "I fucked up."
"If there's any consolation, if he's really cheating on you, then good riddance."
"What if he isn't?" You groan.
"You would've figured that out had you asked him about it instead of leaving. Anyway, you still need to figure out what's with him and this Crystal right?" When you answer yes, your sister continues. "Why don't you talk to him?"
"Because he told me if I leave, we're done and I said we're over when I left. I don't want to call him." You whine.
"You're leaving in less than a week, you can't be in a relationship with someone who's way back there anyway. Unless long distance relationship is your thing. You just need to hope that dad will send you back next year." Kylee tells you.
That's the thing, if you keep up with your relationship, you'd have to deal with the fact that you can only see each other after a year if you're lucky.
These are nothing just 'what ifs', but the reality is everything is over between the two of you.

Your grandmother notices that you haven't been leaving the house at night anymore. She comes up to your room after dinner to your surprise.
"Is it a boy?" She asks you somewhere along your conversation.
"Pardon me, grandma?" You ask her. You feel that you misunderstood her.
"The reason why your eyes have dark circles." She gives you a warm smile as you struggle to answer. You tell her a lot of things except your problem with boys because it feels so off to talk about it with her.
"Just go with what makes you happy. I told your father that when he decided to marry your mother." She tells you. "Follow your heart."
You sigh, it's weird to be talking with your grandmother about this but she's all you have right now.
"I'm leaving grandma, I don't think things will work out anyway. He already found someone else." You finally confide.
"Then maybe it's not the right time for you yet. Perhaps wait a few more years. If you're meant for each other, fate will bring you together again." She smiles at you.
You end up hugging her. She doesn't speak much but when she does, her words are full of wisdom. You ask yourself if you can wait for years to see him again.
**************
Elin tries to give you updates about Yoongi but you stop her from saying anything further. You don't want to hear anything that'll cause you to be in more distress.
You were laying on the bed that night just staring at the ceiling. In five days, you're going home. Your last conversation with Yoongi flashes in your mind. You do not regret meeting him at all even if it had been brief.
Your phone rings disturbing your thoughts, it's Elin. She's been asking you to join them when the guys were off from performing. You always decline because you do not want to see Yoongi and Crystal together.
When you answer your phone, there's a long silence before someone speaks on the other line. The voice didn't belong to your cousin. You'd recognize that low raspy sound that he makes before he speaks and in between talking.
"Y/N?" He asks.
You start panicking contemplating between hanging up or listening. You chose the latter as you remember your sister's words to you.
"Yes." You're surprised at how calm you sound even if your chest is pounding, and your hands get cold and clammy.
"I uh, do you want to talk?" He asks.
You can hear cars and people talking in the background and you're guessing he's in his usual spot outside at the staircase.
"What are you doing with Elin's phone?"
"I thought you wouldn't answer if I used my phone."
He's not wrong because you won't answer his call if you see his number on your screen.
"So can we talk?" He asks again.
"We're talking right now." You reply.
You can hear him sigh before he speaks.
"I meant in person."
" It's really late and I don't feel comfortable leaving the house at this time." You reason out. It's past 2 am and what you told him is the truth.
"I know, that's why I'm standing outside your place."
