51- Jeju
An announcement had been made by the company where Namjoon, Hoseok, and Yoongi are under. 'The Triple Threat will be making a reunion concert'. This was an idea that had gotten pitched in by the fan you and Yoongi met in New York. It's finally taking place and it created a stir among the fans and the entertainment industry as well. The three of them were known for their superb performances and talents; combining them would result in a show that everyone would like to witness.
You feel excited because it has been a while since they last performed together. You remember watching a clip of their performance at an awards show two years ago, and it brought the house down.
However, you didn't see Yoongi again with Mrs. Kang. He must be busy making the preparations. Your cousin mentions that she sees less of her boyfriend too because he was constantly in a meeting for the concert.
Ever since you saw Yoongi at the center, you've been constantly thinking about him. Not that you've thought about him less before, it's just that you start to see how you are with him from another perspective. You admit you're too stubborn and proud to make the initiative so that you can talk with him about yourself and about what happened to you and Dylan. You already know you brought this to yourself and that is what has been eating you the whole time. You're too busy licking your wounds and feeling sorry for yourself. You retreated further into your shell when you found out about Crystal being pregnant.
When you planned to have sex with Yoongi, you thought he'd use protection, but you had that spur-of-the-moment decision to throw caution and you had unprotected sex. Deciding to do that was like playing Russian Roulette especially when you skipped a day of taking your pill. Even if you took precautions the next day, there's this constant what if thought in your mind.
But you didn't get pregnant and you found out about Crystal. You're jealous and almost wished that it had been you instead. You can't help but wonder what it would be like to have his child. How would Yoongi take it? Would you even let him know? You know your family would love the child no matter what. But will he? It'll create a big scandal in his career for sure. Just like with Crystal right now, what if people find out? He seems to be ready for it. If it had been you, he might probably be the same. IF, it was you, but it isn't.

Your grandmother was appointed to lead a group on a tour in Jeju Island. This was at the other center your grandmother goes to. You'd be going with them of course, even if you're the only one who is less than sixty years old in the group. You don't mind that since you've only been there as a child with your sister and parents. You remember how your mother used to love that place. It's good to relive those happy memories you had as a child.
You arrive at Jeju Island and you can't help but admire the place. It looks different from what you've remembered. The flight was packed because it was going to be a holiday that Monday so most people decided to take that Friday off and head to the island. It didn't dampen anyone's mood though, it only made them more excited.
One of the ladies who joined you was quite upset because her husband canceled going with her last minute. Your grandmother promised her she'd be with her the whole time so she won't feel alone.
You check in a hotel next to the beach. Your grandmother tells you that she will be sharing with Mrs. Wang while you will share rooms with Elin when she arrives. She volunteered to join you although she's not arriving until the next day. That meant you will be alone in your room that night.
Your hotel room has a sliding door that overlooks the beach. You can stay here the whole day and just watch the picturesque view that is before you. The view is so serene it's healing. It heals you from all the pain you've gone through, from breaking up your engagement, losing your father, and completely losing Yoongi to Crystal. A girl can only take so much but here you are still standing, scarred but not broken. You're brave enough to take on a new life here in this country. The country that makes half of who you are. It used to be just a vacation place for you, but now it's more than that. Being around the people at the center made you see more about the culture too.
Your grandmother and her group went for a stroll along the beach insisting that you didn't have to come with them. There's no point in arguing with her so you decide to read while you lay on one of the lounge chairs that were spread around the area underneath a large sunshade umbrella.
"Y/N?"
You look up when you hear someone call out your name. You got up on your feet with a start when you see a face you haven't seen in a while. The mess that happened between you and Yoongi drew you apart. She's always been in your thoughts as you wonder how she and the rest of the team were.
"Kyoung-Mi!" You hug the other woman. Sung-ha stood next to her and you give him a quick hug too.
"I knew that was you, she won't believe me." He tells you.
You were happy to see them but you can't help but dread the possible reason why they were there.
"I know, what are the chances that we'd bump into each other here?" You reply. "So, are you guys here on official business?"
Kyoung-Mi chuckles.
"No, we're still on a break until next week." She throws a look at Sung-ha and you didn't miss that silent affection they both have as their eyes meet. "Sung-ha and I finally got married. We're on our honeymoon."
"What?" You gasp. "Congratulations." You hug them again.
"Yeah, we decided to finally do it. No one knows and we didn't want a big celebration. We've told our families before we did it and it's all that matters." Kyoung-Mi tells you. She looks at the spot you were previously sitting at and looked around.
"What about you, what are you doing here? Are you with someone? You are not..." She paused and hesitates a bit before asking. "on your honeymoon too, are you?"
You shake your head slowly. She has no clue about what happened to you after New York.
"No. I came with my grandma. She's with a group who's on a trip here. I'm staying with her after my dad passed away." You explain.
"What? I'm so sorry to hear that." She takes your hand and squeezed it. "Let's sit and tell me more. I never got a chance to message you after the last time we saw each other." She sighs. "So many things happened.
"Tell me about it." You reply and you lead them to your spot. "But I don't want to take your alone time together."
Kyoung-Mi smiles at you. "We've been here for three days now. We're leaving tomorrow so it's fine. Right honey?" She turns to Sung-ha who nods.
"I can come back after a few minutes so you two can have time to talk." He offers.
"No, stay. I don't mind you hearing what I have to say." You reply with a smile. You tell them about what happened to your dad and the reason why you decided to come back and temporarily stay with your grandmother.
"If I had known about it, we would've come to pay our respects." Kyoung-Mi tells you. "Does Yoongi know?" She asks you.
"Yes, he said he briefly went to the funeral but I didn't get to see him." You reply.
"He told us not to bother you anymore because he said it'll make things harder for you. I typically wouldn't listen but I thought it made sense. It would be best if we leave you and your fiancee alone after things got complicated when Yoongi entered your life again. So have you decided on a date for your wedding yet?" She asks.
You tell them the truth.
"We're no longer engaged. We broke up." You give them a sad smile.
"What? Why? Did he find out about Yoongi?" That's the first question that pops up for those who knew about your relationship with him.
"No, he didn't, it was something else." You reply.
"Did Yoongi know about it?" Kyoung-Mi asks again.
"No. We never got a chance to talk." It feels like every time the two of you get a chance to talk, something comes up. With his situation right now, even if you do get a chance to have the talk now, nothing will come out of it anymore.
"The two of you should talk to clear things between you." Sungha spoke for the first time.
You realize that they do not know about Crystal yet.
"He never speaks about it, but after New York, he just wasn't his usual self anymore." Sungha continues.
"When the time comes, we will talk." You give him a sad smile.
"We can call him and tell him that you're here." Kyoung-Mi begins but you touched the other woman's hand.
"No, it's fine." Whenever the topic of you speaking with Yoongi comes up, you feel scared somehow. You know you will never win over the child he is about to have.
"Why?" The other woman asks you.
"I'd rather have Yoongi tell you." Is what you answer.
*******
"Y/N, you and Yoongi have to talk." Elin tells you as soon as you picked up her call at eleven thirty that evening. You answered her call because you're thinking something came up with her flight the next day.
You rub the sleep off your eyes. You just went to bed an hour ago after a long day of catching up with Sungha and Kyoung-Mi then you went hiking with your grandmother's group after .
"Now?" You ask.
"Yes now if you have a chance. Both of you need to clear things out." This is so unlike Elin, she'd be more of the quiet and passive type who'd give a silent advice but never the insistent type like Kylee.
You sigh.
"I can't think straight right now Elin. I don't think I'd be able to have a logical talk with him because my mind isn't there yet at all especially after being awakened from my sleep."
"But you have to talk now." You hear Elin's voice softens and you immediately feel bad for snapping at her.
"I love you like a sister Elin and I'm sorry but not right now. I'll talk with him when we get back." You bargained to make up for lashing out at her earlier.
"That's not soon enough." Your cousin hears another loud sigh so she didn't finish what she's about to say. "Ok, if that's what you want." Elin replies. After a short conversation about her flight tomorrow, you both hang up.
It took you a while to get back to sleep. You can't help but think about this talk you and Yoongi need to have. Yes, you definitely need to have that talk to settle things between the two of you. A talk just to let him know that you're no longer engaged and that you have accepted your fate that you cannot be together because of Crystal's pregnancy. You have to prepare yourself for that talk.
You wake up the next day and you see your cousin's message that she's about to board the plane. You're glad that she didn't get offended by your foul mood when she called you the previous night. You honestly feel bad for doing that. How horrible can you be? You keep on nagging yourself.
You didn't know your cousin has arrived until she knocks at your hotel room. Your grandmother was with her and you give her a tight hug as you apologize. She tells you it's nothing of course but still, you felt horrible.
"Aish, come now both of you and we will have breakfast to a good place next door." Your grandmother turns to you. "Good food makes ones mood better."
Your grandmother was right, the place she was talking about served great food. You and Elin joined the group tour after that. You visited places you've never been to before, hiking the whole time. You're not a fan of hiking but you're too embarrassed to complain when your grandmother and her group kept on going. You did voice out your protests with your cousin who laughed at you the whole time. Elin didn't open the topic about Yoongi until later that night after dinner.
You just stepped out of the shower, all set for bed after another tiring day. Your legs were aching because you went to a place where you have to climb up the steps to reach its peak. That was your own doing anyway. You were curious to see what was at the top. It sure was worth the walk though because the view that you saw was amazing.
Your cousin was the next one to use the bathroom but you notice that she's oddly looking at you. You already know what's coming next. You sit on the bed hugging your knees as you look at her.
"Is this going to be a talk about Yoongi?" You ask.
"Yes, and I want you to listen. Please hold back any comment until I'm done." She says.
You're too tired to protest so you just shrug in response. Your cousin's next words was unexpected.
"Yoongi isn't the father of Crystal's baby."
You scowl at her. "Is that a joke? How can you even be sure of that?"
"You promised you'd hold your comment until I'm done." Elin reminds you. You sigh and you lean against the headboard as your cousin continues.
"Hobi and I were at his office at the club yesterday, and we had been talking. I kind of mentioned that you and Dylan broke up. He said you and Yoongi can finally be together and I said not if a baby is coming. He looks completely baffled to hear that we thought that Yoongi was the father of Crystal's baby. I told him about your conversation with Crystal and he called Yoongi. It was a twist of events after that. Yoongi personally came over and listened to what you told me Crystal had told you. I finally got to hear the whole story about Crystal's pregnancy. Yoongi isn't the father, Jay is. It happened when both of them got too drunk. Yoongi was with them but he passed out while drinking." Your cousin explains.
You couldn't help but snort in response.
"Is that what he is claiming. Like how can Jay be the father? He's married."
"Just because he is doesn't mean he can't father another child. Ask him yourself." Elin replies.
You grab a pillow from the bed placing it over your knees so you can rest your head. This talk is too overwhelming you're getting a head ache. You look outside from the open sliding door next to you. The moon is out, illuminating the gentle tossing of the waves below it while the breeze blows gently. It feels like it's attempting to calm your turbulent emotions over what you just heard.
"I will talk with Jay and Yoongi when we get back." You reply.
"Why don't you do it now?"
Your body stiffens before you turn to where your cousin is. It wasn't Elin who spoke. Yoongi is standing by the doorway, his hands in his pockets as he looks at you. Your cousin walks out of the door and closes it quietly behind her leaving just the two of you. There was a long silence as you just stare at each other.

Thank you for patiently waiting for the update. We are almost at the end and just as what I did at the story, I will hold back the remaining chapters until it's done. I will publish them all at the same time.
