"....Alright, I'll trust you, I gotta go, Chronoa has a job for me."

Sighing, Nathan cracked his neck, the 38-year-old Saiyan couldn't help but wonder if there were some hidden meanings behind his friend's words. Still, he's sure of his choice, as he hears the sound of someone giving small sounds of grunts, causing him to smile as he stands to attention, giving a show of him wearing a casual Gi outfit outside his Time Patrol outfit he normally wears.

He goes over and sees a girl with grey hair hitting a boulder with the knuckles of two fingers, he sees that she's getting frustrated by her repeated failure of not being able to break it. This girl is Sayori Yurei, a human girl that just turned 15, and in a few months, will attend the Orange Star High School for future Time Patrollers, she's also a secret student of his, as only two people know of this secret, that being the Supreme Kai of Time herself and Elder Kai. Chuckling as he hears her pouting, he goes over and ruffles her hair, getting her attention.

Nathan: No, Sayori. You're only hitting with a lot of strength, that's not going to complete your excerise.

Sayori: Tch, and just how the hell- *sees him narrow his eyes at her little language, making her dial back* heck could I break with two fingers as you asked me for? I mean, you're a Saiyan, with your strength, it's easy for you.

Nathan: *smiles* Sayori, me being a Saiyan has nothing to do with strength. Believe it or not, my father couldn't break a boulder when he was younger, because you see, physical strength is not what matters, but the control of the Ki is, and for that, you must be calm and focus on the mind, body, and soul. Here, I'll show you, keep an eye on the details.

He stands in front of the boulder, closing his eyes, as he's surrounded by a white outline, which soon disappears. He raised his hand to the boulder, before striking it with two of his fingers, splitting the boulder in half, yet he didn't break it. Sayori's eyes widened in amazement and awe, both are something she'll forever keep a secret. Nathan seeing the amazement in her eyes, goes over and points at a different boulder.

Nathan: Alright, you ready to give it another try?

Sayori: Sure, just don't go too slow on me, old man~.

Nathan: *fake gasp* Old? I know I'm 38, but come on, cut me some slack here.

This made them both chuckle, before Sayori realized she laughed a bit and quickly turned away, her face red in embarrassment, as Nathan laughed more. However, that's when a thought occurred to her, one that made her shake a bit and immediately filled Nathan with sorry, as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

Nathan: Hey, what's wrong?

Sayori: Have you ever.... Died before?

Nathan: H-Huh?

Sayori: *fidgets a bit* Just, I hear from a lot of people that being a Time Patroller is scary, and that some people have died from being one.... I-Is it scary? Sad?

Nathan eyes softened, as for the first time, he had nothing to say about it, not that he could anyway. He doesn't want to lie to her, but he also can't tell her the truth, instead, he ruffles her hair a bit.

Nathan: Hey, don't worry about it, in my opinion, it's even sadder to not live life at all. I mean, you can't even enjoy eating if you die.

Sayori: *smiles* I feel like that won't stop you though.

Nathan: *laughs* Yeah, that's true. Now then, that's enough of this talk, let's continue, okay?

After that, Sayori continued her small training with Nathan, as the pair would continue day and night, not a single day has gone by without them training. And now, currently, Nathan is seen in his Super Saiyan form, as Sayori's body is glowing red, as she appears to be using Kaio-Ken, but the multiplier is unknown.

The two are seen throwing punches and kicks, as we see visible scratch marks on Nathan, while Sayori appeared to be more damaged by remained determined.

SSJ Nathan: Yes, Sayori, that's good, control your power, not the other way around.

Sayori grunts, before she landed a serious kick to his stomach, making him gag a bit, but he growled back and kicks her in the chin, sending her flying across the ground, before she flips and lands on her feet. She pants for a bit, but then gasps when she sees that he vanished, causing her to frantically look left and right, though she stopped when she remembered his words and took a slight breath to calm herself down. Closing her eyes, she allows herself to calm her mind, her body, and her soul, hearing nothing but the cool air, as she then turns and threw a punch that directly hits him in the face, causing him to stagger back as he wipes away the blood that spilled from his mouth.

SSJ Nathan: Not bad.

Sayori smiles, before she loses the glow and falls unconscious, falling backward, before Nathan dashed over and caught her before she fell, going back to his base form, as he gently laid her down on the grass. He then hears the sounds of footsteps approaching, making him turn to see the Supreme Kai of Time approaching with a smile.

Nathan: Well?

Chronoa: I have to admit, she definitely has what it takes, I can see why you wanted to recommend her. You picked one hell of a student, Nathan.... I think she's going to surpass you one day....

Nathan chuckles before glancing down at Sayori's sleeping face, as he gave a small smile, the thought of Sayori surpassing him.... Filled him up with pride, as he honestly can't wait for the day it happens, and he knows that when it does, he couldn't be prouder of his student.

"Yeah"

-Present Timeline-

Nathan: I know she will....

He then turns around and sees a shadowy figure approaching him with an odd glint in their eyes, he wipes some blood away from his mouth, as he then roars and turns Super Saiyan 4.

SSJ4 Nathan: I swear I'm going to kick that old man's ass after this.

He then takes a stance and rushes at the shadowy figure, with the figure doing the same, their clash creating a massive explosion, before the screen went dark.
