A young man from New York, is called to investigate a fair in wich an accident happened. The place had been shut down for years before the fair started again, due to a malfunction wich caused the deaths of 13 children and 4 employees. When the same almost happened on the opening of the new fair, this man takes it upon himself to solve the mystery. It turns out to be that a former fair worker made the fair malfunction cause he was fired. It is also made that he set the new accident years later.

The young man befriends a homeless child he finds near the fair after the kid stole some bread. In the end of the story, the child is revealed to be a ghost from one of the kids that died. he had a reason to stay at the fair saying that he needed to find Logan. The young man asks the child who logan is, a question the kid doesn't answer. They uncover the truth together. And in the end, when the kid is set free from the fair as the child found a stuffed Dove, wich turns out to be Logan, the two part ways with tears in their eyes.
