Hardships of Writers

The hardship of a professional writer (self-published/traditionally published):

Self-Published Writers:
1. Writing your own manuscript.
2. Editing your own work or with a help of an editor.
3. Paying for a book cover artist or creating your own cover. (eBook, paperback, hardback )
4. Promoting your book by yourself or with friends on social media, selling your paper/hard back on schools, libraries, friends, family and etc.

Traditional Writers:
1. Writing your manuscript.
2. Hiring an editor.
3. Looking for a literary agent.
4. Sending your work to a lot of publishing houses who would take your book and sell it in stores.
5. Dealing with those publishing houses if the royalty they'll give you is enough for the two parties.

(If there's something wrong or want to add something, you can tell me and comment down below.)

This is what I know about the two current systems. Which do you think is way better for the new generation of writers?

(To say that one chapter isn't worth it is already a mistake. Your opinion isn't an opinion of everybody. If you are a real writer, you know that all of your chapters are worth it to be read.

Just because one reader or publisher didn't like your book meant that the book is already ugly. Remember that Harry Potter was rejected 12 times before it became known.)
