“ Make a slight left,” The GPS says; I sigh and turn my car to the left as the machine instructs. My heart was pounding hard in my chest as I thought of what I was going to say to my long-time friend; we hadn't seen each other in a few years, so this was new to me.

I pulled into a pile of mud and looked around as I realized the pack house hadn't changed a bit. It still looked like a junkyard, but it was home.

I chewed on my lip turned off the car, grabbed everything I came with, and opened the door. Immediately, I could hear a hoard of giant feet running towards me; I gasped and placed my hand over my heart as I realized once more that the teens had grown; they looked more like adults than teens; the only one who didn't look like one was Sam.

“ Harmony!” Quil says happily, running towards me with his hands open; behind him were Seth and three younger teens I hadn't noticed or seen before.

My heart dropped at the sight of them, they were too young to be in this lifestyle. It was more of a curse than a gift, but they'll eventually love to learn this curse.

“ It's about time you made it,” Says a deep voice; that's when I looked to my left, and for the first time in my life, Jacob black towered over me.

While I was six feet in height, he was over six, and it was very scary; I instantly opened my arms for him, and he chuckled and lifted me in his arms.

“ Hey, how are you?” his husky voice fans over my ear; I shiver and respond back.

“ Fine, a little tired. But I want to meet Leah, where is she?” I ask.

The energy around me changed immediately after I said that. Everyone was tense and I grew concerned.

“ is there something wrong?” I ask, stepping back from Jacob. Jacob rubbed the back of his neck and looked deeply into my eyes.

I could tell something was truly wrong, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

What was going on with Leah? Have I missed something?.

“ Um... Harmony Leah's, uhh... She has changed since the last time you've seen her, it's been a long four years... So please be mindful of that when you see her” Was all he told me before he left to go meet his friend.

I look at the Quil, Jared, And Embry. “ What friend? Since when did he have a friend?” I ask.

Jared laughed as Paul came running over and embraced me. “ Bella Swan, his ' Childhood ' friend, has been in his life for a while now, and he caught feelings. But she's with this Edward guy, the guy's a vam-” he was cut off by Paul.

“ Hey! Not his name around her; she'll learn everything eventually,” Paul sneers.

I was taken aback by his aggressive attitude; where was my kind, Paul? Why was everyone so jumpy? Angry? And miserable? Was I using the right word?

“ Alright, just forgot it,” I replied, moving towards the door to meet my favorite person in the world.

When I open the door to the house, I immediately smell the beautiful scent of muffins. My mouth watered, and my stomach growled at the taste; I walked to the table and grabbed a muffin before the others came in.

I place a small piece in my mouth and moan at the taste of it. “ Good Job, Emily,” I say.

Emily chuckles. “ You're welcome and thanks”.

The others came rushing in and sat at the table. I looked at the door to see a beautiful but plain brunette female walking over to others. I arched my eyebrow and moved close to the door to hear the conversation.

“ And this is Leah, our new pack member; she's Harry Clearwater's oldest and only daughter,” Jacob was telling the brunette.

' so that's Bella?'.

I sigh and turn away but the next words that came out of Leah's mouth shock me to the core.

“ If you here to torture Jacob some more, feel free to leave,” and then there was the sound of bones snapping and the snarl of a wolf.

I sat at the table and ate more as the brunette girl came in and stood at the door. She looked at everyone, and then her eyes trailed to me.

Smelling her blood made my nails sharpen; I growled low under my breath as I smelt the sweet smell of her blood.

She has a rare blood type, which causes her blood to be not A, b, or Ab; it seems to me she has O-positive blood.

“ So you're the wolf girl?” she asks Emily.

Emily chuckles as she looks at her. “ So you're the vampire girl?” she says warmly.

Ah, Emily was such a kind woman, but it was tragic what happened to her face.

I stood to my feet as I wanted to go check on Leah and see how she was doing.

I walk to the door but not before looking back at everyone. “ Hey, guys, I'll be back I have to go get something”.

Paul waved at me along with the rest of the pack. “ Okay, be safe. See you later”.

“ I will,” I called back, opening the door and leaving out of the house.

The warm smell of the forest hit my nostrils the moment I stepped into the wooded area.

I closed my eyes and inhaled everything around me as I tried to find Leah.

Immediately, I smelt her heavenly scent as I opened my eyes and took off running in the direction that I sensed her.

“ Leah” I called out.

I heard a soft whine in the distance, and it wasn't long before a tall woman with short hair stepped out of the trees.

I stepped back as I didn't recognize my friend.

Gone was my kind-hearted friend, standing in front of me was a broken and angry woman.

The angry woman's mouth opens in a snarl. “ What are you doing here?’.
