Thing! Runnn!

"No foolishness Miss Addams, this is not a mystery, this is not a wild monster hunt like your previous experience. It is a confrontation against an organized group, following precise patterns and well-thought-out plans."

The principal is standing, his hands resting heavily on his desk and his shoulders leaning forward. He wants to convey all the urgency and danger of what is happening.

"I will immediately inform those in charge of the situation, if what is happening is true the school will be immediately evacuated and the students sent safely home."

Professor Silivieri also nods in agreement with the principal. Even he doesn't know how serious the situation is, and certainly having an entire school full of stubborn teenagers in his way doesn't really help him.

"Wednesday go back to your room, take care of your partner and leave it to us. I know more than anyone how powerful you really are but you are not ready and soon you will have another challenge to face."

The girl looks at him with suspicion; she does not like the world in which he is looking at her. The apprehension, the fear that shines through his eyes disturb her. The affection she sees in his gaze is too intense for someone who barely knows her.

"Very good."

Wednesday gives no one time to retort, turns around and leaves the room. She strides through the school corridors, is shrouded in darkness, the faint light of an incomplete moon barely outlines the shadows around her, and one shadow in particular seems to follow the girl.

When Wednesday arrives in front of her room she hears a voice from within. A voice clearly belongs to Enid; she would recognize it among the screams of the damned in hell.

She opens the door wide, and as much as the unwelcome presence of all those people in her room bothered her, the smile and the light that Enid glows made her almost imperceptibly lift one corner of her mouth.

"And what are you guys doing here? You three especially, how did you get in?"

Bianca, Yoko, Divina all sit on Enid's bed around the girl. On the desk chair instead sits Ajax bleached at the sight of Wednesday fearing what the girl might do to him after finding him in her room. Standing next to the gorgon also intimidated by Addams' entrance is Kent sporting magnificent pink pajamas. The only one smiling like a puppy at the newcomer, however, is little Eugene.

"Hi Wednesday! So what did they tell you?"

Of course, the boy is undaunted, running to Wednesday as a faithful little dog does to its master. The thought only pleases the girl. But before responding his gaze hardens, she looks into the eyes one by one of all the people in the room, leaving for last Enid on whom she instead softens her gaze.

"None of your business."

Bianca and the other girls do not have to read between the lines to realize that Wednesday is kicking them out of the room so they can "ascertain" Enid's condition without prying eyes.

"Come on! Everyone out before our let pass turns into punishment!"

The siren is the first to spring to leave the room, followed by Ajax and Kent, still frightened by Wednesday. Yoko and Divina, on the other hand, give themselves two seconds to hold Enid before leaving the room.

"Take care Enid, pick yourself up."

Enid smiles at the tenderness of Eugene's gaze. The boy reciprocates and then rushes to hug Wednesday.

"You, on the other hand, remember that you are not and will never be alone. I will always remain by your side."

The boy says this in a low voice, knowing full well that Enid could hear him quietly, but he confides that the girl is too good and to spy on his words. Wednesday returns the hug, though not warmly, for Eugene it is enough for him to leave the room quietly.

"So Willa, what did they tell you?"

Finally alone, Wednesday approaches Enid and lies down beside her on the bed. She caresses her face and arranges a few strands of her hair. The wolf girl closes her eyes and pushes her face toward her companion's hand, rejoicing in her touch.

"We will talk about it tomorrow Enid."

Wednesday lowers herself onto her and kisses her, the kiss is lustless but intense, the two girls enjoy it as if it were their last, and a voice in the back of Wednesday's head claims that it is.

Suddenly Wednesday feels a cold gust and Enid's lips disappear from hers. She jerks her eyes open and finds herself in the hallway of the Nevermore, but it is not her Nevermore, it is darker, gloomier, and seems even older.

"Hello Wednesday."

She turns sharply, and what he finds in front of her is his reflection in white.

"Goody! What's going on? I didn't feel like I was having a vision."

The ancient witch laughs a little too sternly at the other girl who begins to think that things are going downhill.

"This is not a vision, think of it as..... A prison."

Goody had begun to walk around her while looking at her amused.

"Goody..... What's going on-what did you do?!"

The girl laughs again, this time she is clearly taunting Wednesday who obviously glares at her.

"Oh... Poor little, naive Wednesday. How does it feel to realize that you were tricked by a witch who died 300 years ago and has spent the last few centuries confined to a bloody dungeon by her own ancestors!"

Goody had started with an amused tone and then ended her sentence with an anger in her voice that rattled the building.

"Those stupid old men, they even used an echo of my essence to communicate with you and help you against Gates and Crackstone. They were not powerful enough for me instead, a weak echo was enough to be able to appear to you and even heal your wounds!"

Wednesday scrutinizes Goody. The chained sarcophagus was really her, that dark, malevolent force she sensed was really Goody's body emanating from her. That was definitely not a benevolent entity.

"What! You have! Done!"

Goody stops, looks at her and smiles softly."

"Oh my dear. I trapped you in your own mind and took control of your body."

Wednesday's mask collapses and her face shows panic,

"Oh my God! Your face! Your face is too hilarious."

Goody bursts out laughing.

"Have fun in your personal mental prison, now you'll understand what I've had to go through for the last 300 years."

The witch disappears before Wednesday can even breathe a word.

Enid senses the change and snaps away from the other girl. She looks into her eyes and knows that that is not Wednesday or at least, it is not anymore.

"Who the hell are you?"

Wednesday(Goody) smiles, raises her open hand toward the wolf girl, and her eyes blacken completely.

"La mente se rinde y cae en el sueño más profund"

When she saw the girl's gesture Enid instinctively tried to move away but could do little before falling asleep.

Goody is pleased, the only one who could really get in his way is now under her spell and nothing can ever wake her up. A ticking sound distracts her and she turns her head toward the door just long enough to see Thing slip through a hole in the wall and escape.

"Oh my little appendage, run all you want there is no one left in this world who can get in my way.

Thing is running at top speed, what he sensed from Wednesday terrified him to death, her magic, ever since she began to develop it, has always been impetuous. Now, however, it has changed; it has become evil and powerful in a way beyond measure.

At first she thought of calling Morticia but the crystal ball is under Wednesday's bed and she cannot remember the new phone number of the Addams home. She then thought of talking to the principal but is afraid of what a military man might do to Wednesday. So he thought the only solution at the moment is the only magic expert around, Professor Silivieri.

Thing runs into the walls a bit tentatively, trying to figure out how to sneak directly into the man's room. And when he finally gets there he has to struggle to disassemble a grate before he can enter the room. The professor's back is turned preparing something on his desk, Thing immediately sensed that it is something powerful and above all, dark magic.

"Thing--I guess I heard right then..... That immense dark magic appeared out of nowhere, the evil imbued in it stronger than the magic itself. Goody has finally taken possession of Wednesday's body."

Mark turns slowly, Thing is startled, he had felt that something in Wednesday had changed, and the words Enid had said are further confirmation of that. But how does Professor Silivieri know for sure that it is Goody?

"Let's get the dancing started."

The almost demonic smile on the professor's face made Thing paralyze with fear.
