Skit #1 Power Training
A pale yellow light shined in the apprentice's den of Oceanclan.
A small light gray apprentice with white stripes on her pelt slowly opened up one blue eye.
She sighed knowing that she would have to go through a long day of training with her mentor.
Just as if on cue her mentor, a dark gray she-cat, walked in.
"Come on Wavepaw, we're going to the Spirit Spring with Redpaw and Tidepaw," her mentor meowed.
Wavepaw's ears pricked up as she heard the names of her friends.
"Wait, Soulshine, Tidepaw and Redpaw are coming?" She mewed tiredly.
"Yes," Soulshine purred.
Wavepaw sprang up and quickly licked down some of her gray and white that stuck out.
Wavepaw trotted out into the clearing.
Her leader, Seastar, was telling Soulshine to organize hunting patrols, well that's what Wavepaw could hear.
Soulshine was the deputy and very powerful at the most.
She was especially powerful because she could turn into lighting and could not be put out by rain or water.
As Wavepaw padded over to the fresh-kill pile she heard her name being called.
"Wavepaw! Hey!" Wavepaw looked over and saw Tidepaw and Redpaw by some ferns eating fresh-kill.
Wavepaw purred and picked up a mouse and walked over to her friends.
"Hey guys!" She meowed with her mouth full of mouse.
"Hey!" Tidepaw purred.
"Hi," Redpaw greeted.
"So, Tidepaw, how's training with Waterdream going for you?" Wavepaw mewed taking a bite of her mouse,
"Oh, it'a going great! She's taught me how to make a ball of water!" Tidepaw said excitedly
Tidepaw and Waterdream could controll water so Seastar made Waterdream Tidepaw's mentor so she could learn how to use her powers.
Wavepaw had lightning powers like Soulshine, that's why Soulshine was Wavepaw's mentor.
"Why do you you two have powers any way? Arn't you Coralcloud's kit?" Redpaw asked taking a bite of his fresh-kill.
"Well, I actual not Coralcloud's kit. My real mother was Mistpool," Tidepaw replied solemnly.
"Oh, well, I'm sorry for bringing that up, what about you Wavepaw?" Redpaw meowed.
"I don't really know. I mean I know my mother was powerful and all but I don't know if she had my powers. I know my father doesn't, and Foxpaw doesn't have it," Wavepaw paused and took another bite of fresh-kill, "but I sometimes wonder if Soulshine's my kin. After all she has the same power as me," She noticed Tidepaw and Redpaw were staring at her with confusion in their eyes.
Foxpaw was Wavepaw's sister, and medicine cat apprentice.
"You might be right you know," Redpaw finally spoke up.
The three quickly finished their meal and padded off to their mentors.
Soulshine, Waterdream, and Blackshell were waiting for them at the camp entrance.
Blackshell was talking to his identical twin sister Whiteshell, the only difference was their eyes and genders. Blackshell had amber colored eyes and Whiteshell had light green eyes.
When they made it to their mentors Whiteshell bided farewell to them and left.
Wavepaw looked at the three warriors. They were very strong looking and brave.
She glanced at Redpaw he was one moon older than her but still looked a lot older than Tidepaw and her.
"All right you three! Are you ready to train?" Waterdream bounced up and slashed her tail excited.
She was much like a kit in a warrior's body.
Blackshell rolled his eyes and meowed, "We're heading to Spirit Spring if you weren't informed," Redpaw nodded.
The three warriors padded out the entrance with their apprentices following.
As they walked emerged through the palm trees Wavepaw could smell the salty smell of the ocean.
She sighed as she breathed in the scent, it was comforting.
As they jumped across the big rocks where the waves crashed up Wavepaw thought she heard another set of paws next to her.
They jumped of the rocks onto the soft sand below and through some bushes into a small clearing where a huge rock with water bubbling out of it sat in the middle next to a small pond.
"I've always liked this place," Waterdream sighed happily.
"You were always the first one in here when we were apprentices," Blackshell chuckled.
"I remember Saltear would scold you for going ahead of him or everyone else," Soulshine said with mrrow of laughter.
Wavepaw looked at her mentor's eyes and felt like she could see all her memories playing back.
"Well, that's enough memories for now. Let's get to training!" Waterdream pounced on top of her apprencite, Tidepaw.
"Hey! I can't breath!" Tidepaw mewed.
"That's the the point, you got to stay on guard at all times in a battle or you'll end up here, or worse," Waterdream said getting off Tidepaw.
"Alright, Redpaw you turn," Blackshell meowed.
Redpaw charged at his feet and nocked Blackshell down and jumped on top of him and started trying to rake his belly.
But Blackshell was quick and rolled over on his side and hit Redpaw on his side leaving him with the wind knocked out if him.
"That was good. But you need to pin you enemy down harder, or that'll happen." Blackshell critiqued.
"Ok Wavepaw, your up. Hit me with your best shot!" Soulshine went into her lighting mode.
Wavepaw's eyes widened and she mewed, "you want me to go lighting mode too?!"
"Yes, I want you to improve with your powers," Soulshine meowed calmly.
"O-ok," Wavepaw meowed nervously.
She stood still and concentrated as hard as she could until she felt a strong shock go through her and send her into full powered lighting mode.
Every thing looked normal except that she could zoom in and out on things just my thinking, "zoom in, zoom out," easy as that.
Wavepaw was quicker than she normally was and she sped at Soulshine and pounced on top of her.
Soulshine flipped over and Wavepaw landed on her side.
She got up qukily and bit down on Soulshine's leg and sent lighting through her teeth shocking Soulshine, turning her back to normal.
"That was awesome Wavepaw!" Redpaw yowled.
"Yeah!" Tidepaw agreed.
Soulshine stood up and purred, "that was great Wavepaw, but you should be more careful with your powers, you don't want to kill a cat. Since I have this power it doesn't affect me too much, but other cats, well, you know,"
"Hey, Tidepaw, we should try practicing your powers!" Waterdream exclaimed.
"Sure!" Tidepaw jumped up.
They padded out into the center and got ready.
Wavepaw purred and thought of how happy she was with her friends and clan.
Wavepaw breathed in and a faintly familiar sent filled her nose.
As she glanced over her shoulder she saw her mother, her pelt dusted with stars and her eyes gleaming with pride and she saw her daughter.
Wavepaw turned around completely to see her mother but before she could blink, she was gone.
But as her sent faded away she heard her voice say, "I'm always watching over you and you sister on the ranks of Starclan. We'll see each other again someday," and with that her sweet scent was gone.
Wavepaw couldn't wait to get back to camp and tell her sister of her training and her encounter wither her mother's spirit.
"Someday"
