Traits and Territory:
Most Common Eye Color: Blue, but blueish-green and green are not unheard of.
Common Pelts and Patterns: Grays, blacks, and whites are the most typical colours, but vary in shades from cloudy gray to jet-black. Calico, rosette and tabby blend in with the shadows in the water, but patched or solid colour cats are typically the best at stealth fishing. Small ears to block out water, large webbed paws to swim and rudder-like tails to steer in the water are all traits common to this Clan.
Personality: Kind and gracious, RippleClan cats never miss a chance to help out a Clan in need. They can be a bit eccentric or erratic at times, but they have good hearts. RippleClan cats are also known for their intelligence, and have created many hunting techniques and found uses for many previously useless herbs. They are sometimes called cowardly, as they do not like to engage in battle, but they simply do not want to risk the lives of their Clanmates. Some cats can be vain, as they are famously known for their sleek, slender bodies and soft, exotic designs, and they know it.
Trademark: Beauty and Brains
Voice: Smooth and even, like the rush of water over flat stones, they rise in pitch when happy, excited or aggravated.
Territory: A large, even piece of land surrounding the lake, filled with marshes, stands of willows, and water meadows. It holds plentiful herbs and resources, including prey. They dive for the majority of their prey, fish. Cats from RippleClan can hold their breaths for long periods of time and are known to be very good with water pressure. A large, smooth, lichen and moss-covered rock hangs over one bit of the lake, called Watching Stone. Apprentices learn their high-dive and how to hit the water right here, and warriors will often come to relax on the flat, black stone after a hunt. Small streams crisscross the marshes and land, brimming with fish.
Camp: A beach, covered in sand and rocks, pulled back from the shore of the lake and slightly elevated. They make their dens in old driftwood trunks and branches, and a large tree hangs out from the surrounding forest, out over the water. It is draped in moss and vines and acts as a Clan Meeting site, the Highwood. They reinforce the dens with slabs of rock and pieces of moss, and they get plenty of sunlight. In the event of an attack, they will swim out to a small island, too small to be a camp but big enough to hold cats for a while and defend from there. In winter, they will wrap every den in thick swaths of moss to insulate against the freezing wind that blows from the water. They make their nests out of moss, lichen, soft cattail fluff and duck feathers.
Most Common Cause of Death: Old age and cold-related damage, injury or sickness in winter.
Favourite Prey: Fish like trout, bass, perch or pike are preferred, but they will eat basically anything with fins. They typically turn up their noses at rabbits or squirrels, but will readily eat frogs, water birds like ducks, and water voles.
Biggest Enemy: EmberClan

Other Info:
Respect From Other Clans: 7.5/10
My OCs From RippleClan: Clearspirit/Clearkit and Withercreek
Special Fighting Techniques:
-Dive Drag: Cats will grab their enemy by the shoulders, hips or tail, and drag them down into the water, where pressure or lack of air will make them surrender easily.
-Sand Trap: Cats will dig out a hole or trench in the ground, and cover it with thin slabs of Sandstone, that will break when stepped on. The enemy will fall in and be trapped.
-Water Pin: Quite similar to Dive Drag, but a bit rougher, in this technique, cats will grab their opponent by the shoulders, and pull them underneath them, down into the water. They will be forced between two rocks or pieces of wood, and have another piece of rock or a cat placed on top of them. They will be able to see air, but not reach it, and will only be released when they go limp and surrender. Only used in a desperate, life-or-death scenario.
Unique Herbs:
-Featheredweed: Feather-like leafed plant with thick roots. Used for sleep, sore stomachs and other internal pain. (Found in and near water and marshes)
-Willow Bark: Bark from silver, red or weeping willow. Used for inflammation, infection, bee stings and thorn pricks. (Found on Willows)
-Wild Mint: Small, round-leafed and tangy-smelling, Wild Mint is used to make bitter herbs taste better, to chew after a meal, or to treat upset stomachs. (Found near damp or wet areas)
-Cattail Sap: Tall, sinewy plants with a fluffy, brown head. Used to treat and prevent infection, and to treat toothaches and broken teeth. (Found in the mud at the edges of slow-flowing water)
Clan Legends and Stories:
How RippleClan Learned to Dive.
One Greenleaf day, many moons ago, when FeatherClan still roamed the forest, and the Clans were new, there was a terrible accident. While walking at the edge of a stream, an ancient RippleClan apprentice, Snailpaw, fell into the rushing water and was swept away. His mentor, Swallowsky, jumped in after her, but she didn't know how to reach him. He had been carried to the lake by the water and was sinking fast. She got out of the water, distraught before running to the Watching Stone. She could see her apprentice, sinking into the gloom, and she jumped. But she jumped in a strange way, with her paws pointed forward. That fish-like shape carried her deep into the lake, where she was able to grab Snailpaw and save him. She then taught the rest of RippleClan how to 'dive' as they called it, and it became a big part of RippleClan's life.
