Clan Six, The Ruined Clan, Broken Wings.

Context: They were once a part of the Reformed FeatherClan, before splitting under a new leader, forming a new group, known as Broken Wings. Bitter, vengeful and secretive, they seek revenge on the Clans for deserting them, (See Clan Legends, Fallen Feathers) and on Fallen Feathers for recovering and flourishing without them. I give you, Broken Wings.

Traits and Territory:

Common Eye Colors: Since they are formed mostly of unrelated members, rogues and the occasional kittypet, there is no definitive common eye colour.

Common Pelts and Patterns: Same as the eye colour, there are no definitive pelt colours, although darker, longer fur is more common, and fur is usually unkempt.

Personality: Bitter, power-hungry and smart, you do not want to make Broken Wing's cats angry. They are hesitant to trust and don't let grudges go easily. They are knowledgeable with fighting moves and techniques, and cats are made Trainees at four moons, not six. When cats become too old, sick or weak to hunt or fight, they are exiled. Broken Wings is trying to build up an army, to wreak havoc on the Clans and Fallen Feathers. Rules are strict, and if not stuck to them, they will result in exile or punishment.

Trademark: None.

Special Rules:

1: Cats have to obey their leader. If they don't, punishment will ensue.

2: Forbidden relationships are highly outlawed. Kits resulting in those relationships may be exiled or killed depending on the severity of the crime, and the mother will be exiled with them.

3: Cats must be skilled in fighting to become workers, and must pass a series of difficult tests.

4: Any cat or cats who rebel against the leader or group, will be fought, killed or exiled.

5: Only cats of very high power can have full names. Regular workers can only get a full name if they rank up.

6: Any cat with a permanent condition, (fully blind, deaf, paralyzed, lame, mute, missing a leg, etc) will be exiled or retired to a Chored-doer. When a cat becomes too elderly to hunt or fight, it will be exiled.

Voice: A variation of voices, most of them low and growly.

Territory: A dark pine forest, dotted with swamps, ponds, and creeks. Moss cushions the forest floor, making them able to sneak and walk silently. Prey is plentiful, but sometimes hard to catch.  There are clearings scattered scarcely around, offering sunlight and herb growth. One section of the forest is more oak and beech trees, making it a good place to hunt squirrels and mice. There is a pile of rocks in one corner of the territory, offering a sunning place, hunting place and training area. There are many small, secret training areas scattered around for solo Training Sessions with mentor and Trainee.

Camp: A hollow deep in the forest, sheltered by pines. Two large trees, once tall and broad, fell down and now shelter the camp from snow, rain, wind and hawks. Cats sleep wherever they want, there are no rules. The leader has a designated den, in the branches of the fallen tree, but that's all. The hollow is filled with pine needles and sandy ground, with patches of moss as throw-away nests. One of the shelters that cats will use to sleep in, is under an old flat log, propped against a rock. Roots dangle down from the sides of the hollow, and branches sweep down from the fallen trees. A few slabs of stone also protrude from the hollow's edges, offering shelter.

Most Common Causes of Death: Battle accidents or injuries, or infection resulting from these battles.

Favourite Prey: Broken Wing's cats are not picky at all. They simply eat to keep their strength up and will eat anything, sometimes even Crowfood.  Squirrels and frogs, mice, birds and more are all on the menu.

Biggest Enemy: Fallen Feathers group.

Biggest Aligiance: A group of rogues that circulate around Twolegplace and the surrounding wild area, that sometimes aid in battles.

Borders: None, not any close ones.

Respect From Other Group: 3/10

My OCs from Broken Wings: None yet.

Special Fighting Techniques:

-Flank Drag: Hook claws from both paws into the flanks of the enemy, and pull them towards you, or push them down into the ground.

-Double Killing Bite: Snap jaws around the enemy's neck, while simultaneously raking claws down their belly. A fight stopper, likely resulting in near-instant death.

-Tuck and Scratch: Rear up onto your hind legs, and then slide onto your belly, flipping and raking the enemy's stomach. This is an advanced move.

-Spine Snap: Use height to your advantage, leap down onto the enemy and force both paws down onto their spine, snapping or at least forcing them to the ground, usually ending in death or paralysis.

-Back Rake: Rear up onto your hind legs, and jump onto the enemy's back. Perch there, raking and shredding until they run. Useful for smaller cats in battle.

Unique Herbs:

Stinging Nettles: Broad, spiky dark green plants. Used for inflammation when soaked in water.

Black-Grass (made up): Tall, thin, black grass. Used for infection, headaches and tight chest.

Clan Legends and Stories:

The Legend of Whirlstar:

"Whirlstar was the first leader of Broken Wings. He made us who we are today. Without him, we would have died out, becoming nothing instead of everything. He showed us the ways of life, and how we must be ruthless. Only the strongest survive. He formed our noble code and found our camp. Rumour has it that Wolfstar is a descendant of him. Whirlstar once beat a fox in a fight, nearly single-pawed, and ruled for many seasons. His memory holds us in the light of the fact, that without him, this wouldn't exist.

Trivia and Explanations:

-Same-gender relationships, or any relation without the intent of bringing new members into the group, are outlawed.

-As I said, Broken Wings values strength over intelligence, and likes to reward cats who have power.

-Heirs are chosen when the leader has a son, or rarely a daughter, that is fit to lead the group. Thus, the same bloodline has been leaders since the group began.

-Kittypets, loners and rogues can join, but they must pass a series of tests. If they do pass, they will become low-ranking members, (Never able to become heir or leader, and never train a Trainee) and if they fail, they will be either exiled or become a Chore Doer. -

This marks the end of my FanClan book, until I make another one! I hope you enjoyed, and what was your favorite Clan or group?
