Ashwhistle, a antisocial, aloof, black she-cat with tiny gray flecks, hazel eyes and a slight wheezy whistle in her mew.

Smokehaze is an aggressive, dark smokey gray tom with yellow eyes, and permanently burned paw pads.

Traits and Territory:

Most Common Eye Colors: Amber, yellow and hazel.

Common Pelts and Patterns: Ginger, browns, grays and blacks fit the best with EmberClan's dry, burnt territory. Tabby or patched are quite normal, and cats typically have darker paws, either stained from the ash on the forest floor or inherited from parents. Fur is usually short and thick, and large paws are useful and common, for walking on ash, and unstable branches/logs. 

Personality: Cold, aggressive and highly intelligent, EmberClan cats are feared and they know it. They do not like to be told what to do and are very defensive about borders. They relish battle and usually don't engage with the other Clans unless it is to interrogate or start fights with them. They believe in strength in numbers and are always trying to expand their Clan, by whatever means necessary. Even if it means bringing in the occasional rogue. They are good at making battle moves and strategies, and sometimes hunting is forsaken for training or defending their borders. They know the patterns of forest fires and have secret spots where they will go in the event of a dangerous blaze.

Trademark: Cold and Cruel

Voice: Deep, raspy and somewhat rough, by elderhood, warriors speak with such a heavy coughing rasp that it's hard to understand them.

Territory: A wild, burnt-out forest, covered in leafless trees, rosehip bushes, and ashy grass. During Leafbare and Leaffall, EmberClan is safe from fires, but in Newleaf and Greenleaf, it's a constant watch for the wild, or Twolegmade fires. Water is kind of scarce, and it almost always tastes charcoal and ash, so they often go to the edge of the lake to drink. Prey consists of buzzards, mice, voles and songbirds. Fireweed often springs up in Greenleaf, making the forest look like a constant blaze. The land is flat for the most part, sloping up to a mountainous area, where they seldom go.

Camp: A hollow, covered by the stone shelf of a mountain. Brambles and rose thorn bushes encircle the remaining space around the stone, so it is usually quite dark. During winter, they are sheltered from the snow, but it is very cold. The dens are made from thorny rosehip bushes, keeping them safe from predators and enemies. Nests are made from brambles, moss and bracken, and some cats cushion the nest with soft, new ash. The leader sleeps in a small cave and makes his announcements from the lip of the cave, and the medicine cat sleeps and works in an old hollow log. 

Most Common Cause of Death: Battle Wounds and/or infection from those wounds.

Favourite Prey: EmberClan cats will eat anything that they come across, as long as it's fresh. They draw the line at fish, and frogs though. They will also eat Rosehips in a pinch.

Special Fighting Techniques: 

-Double Eye Rake: Cat will bat the enemy onto their back, and rake their claws down the enemy's face and eyes several times. Blindness is likely, but some cats will hold back on that.

-Ash Choke: Cat will scoop a pawful of ash, and stuff it into their enemy's mouth and nose. This will distract them long enough to get hits in or run if needed.

-Team Attack: Cats will grab a Clanmate, and rush into battle together. 

-Belly-to-throat: Get an enemy onto their back, and rake down from their chin to their bowels, or from their bowels to their chin. This is considered a dishonourable move, and will very often result in death.

-Jaw Snap: Exactly what it sounds like. Grab an enemy's top jaw in one paw, and bottom in the other, and wrench down and up at the same. Dislocation and/or broken bones are inevitable and can cause permanent damage.

Unique Herbs:

Rosehips: Plump, red berries. Used to calm upset stomachs, can also be eaten as food.

Fireweed: Tall, pink-flowered plants with long, stringy roots. Used for head pain, sleeplessness, and chest infections.
