A Little Monster
There was always the legend of a kitsune is the forest woods.
Those who were disloyal, unfaithful, and dishonest that went into this forest,
Never came back in one piece.
The Kitsune would, "play" with her food. Dragging out long awaited death.
Oh she returned the body alright.
But in bits and pieces.
One day, a man came into town.
He was a Kitsune hunter.
What? They aren't exactly rare...
Anyways...
He had gotten reports of a Kitsune and decided it was his job to check it out.
"Remember son, they always feed on the disloyal ones. Disloyal in general, to their loved ones, and their word." The hunter had told a child.
"Then why kill them? Aren't they just helping in their own way?" The little boy had questioned.
"Oh son, not all Kitsune are like that. This is why I hunt them, incase the Kitsunes themselves are being unfair." The hunter chuckled.
"But what if this one is loyal to her word?" The little boy pouted.
This consistent defensiveness was starting to interest the old hunter.
"Hm, how do you know this one is a female? They're mostly male." The hunter stated.
"Because, I went into the forest and saw the Kitsune." The little boy glared. "And she did nothing."
"Females are often protective with children, that's the reason I could think of where you'd be standing here." Hunter theorised.
This caused the little boy to run into the woods, the hunter running close behind.
"Miss Kitsune?" The little boy asked the tree. "Someone is here to hurt you."
"Another hunter? I can sense his dishonesty." A voice like heaven whispered from the tree. "I can smell it from here."
"Miss Kit, can I ask you some questions?" The little boy asked shyly.
"Shoot."
"What's your real name?" The little boy looked to the rustling branches.
"Hm, I can't remember if I have one." A figure dropped down from a tree. "Could you help me?"
The Kitsune had a black shirt, white pants that were somehow clean, light brown hair, deep brown eyes, grey ears with white at the tips, and six tails that looked the same.
"Um...How about Alesa?"
"Beautiful. Would you mind telling me your name?" Alesa calmly asked the child.
"Matt..." The little boy cringed.
"Pretty, what were the other questions you wanted to ask?" Alesa smiled.
"Do you kill people? People who are faithful, who are honest, and loyal?" Matt asked.
"Found ya." The hunter smirked as Alesa widened her eyes in fear.
With haste, Alesa grabbed Matt's arm and ran out of there.
A gunshot rang out.
What could be seen was the Kitsune hovering over a little boy.
Blood spilled.
And all the Kitsune could do was watch as colour left the small boy's face and filled the Kitsune with rage.
"I guess not all are the good people they claim to be." Alesa spoke as she stood and faced the hunter.
The hunter remained silent, realising his mistake.
And it was the last one he made before the village got a little present.
