Emai was still in total disbelief that her whole life that was a major lie. That in total realization, that she had a secret family heritage . 

That is the daughter of Sophie and Kali , two powerful sorcerers of the Legendary Niners. It seems so unreal to her, as she and Brandon begin their quest of recruiting the other Niners who haven't been in touch for nineteen years . 

As the aircraft ship continues on their destination, both of them seems to be reicent of what they should say to each other. 

After a while, it was Brandon who finally spoke up. "Ai. I know that everything you have learnt is overbearing. Please say something to me. I'm still your brother, even though we're not related. I still treat you as my little sister. " 

She took a deep breath as she finally spoke up. "I just can't believe you kept this from me. You knew everything this whole time. You should've told me from the beginning, Brandon. That was totally unfair and uncool of you ." 

He sweats nervously as he rubs his head of the situation, "Yeah, I know, Like I said, I truly am sorry that I've lied to you all this time. " 

She crossed her arms as she pouts, "Next time you have a major secret like that, don't lie and try to hide it from me. Ok?"

He waves, "Ok! Ok! I promise! No more secrets! " 

She looks at the window, "So, the northeast of Baia , huh? I wonder what the village would be like." 

Brandon said, "Oh, that's right, you never travelled to other villages before, so this is a good experience for a magician your age. Remember , you are meeting the other members of the Niners. 

Don't underestimate their power." 

"So, Alix and Emily, you never told them about me?" 

"Alix and the other members never knew that Kali and Sophie were a couple or the fact that she was pregnant .

It's forbidden that two sorcerers have an heir , and be married. So, their romance was secretly hidden within the group. " Brandon explains to her. 

"Oh. So, my parents knew the risks of having me around. Although , it seems so unfair to keep all of it a secret. I think that rule is unjustice and totally uncool in my option . 

So, what if they broke a rule? Shouldn't all sorcerers should have a happy lives? Even though , they can share new generation of sorcerers without fear. " 

Brandon was amazed of her option , then chuckles, "Geez, you're sound so much like Kali. He has his own voice , and he always wanted to change the ranks of the magician system. Like Father, like daughter." 

The teen smiles as the ship lands in a nearby forest. Emai was curious of why they landed in the forest as Brandon said, "Ai, say, "Mienai." 

"Why?"

"You'll see. " 

"Mienai. " And the ship disappeared in an instant , blending in with the forest trees! 

Her eyes lit up in shock of this as Brandon said, "That is a spell for the ship to disappear, so nobody wouldn't suspect a thing. " 

"That is some powerful spell, Brandon! I never imagine of a spell that make simple thing disappear!" 

Brandon chuckles, "Well, I have a lot of spells that I wanted to teach you , but you weren't ready yet. So, let's take lessons while we have time here." 

"Ok, I guess." She stammered, still in disbelief of what just happened. 

The village was full with commoners and demi-humans.

"I never seen a village so lively and friendly. Everyone is friendly here. " Emai said. 

"Well, this is Alix and Emily's hometown, Shibuya. Shibuya is a mainly a trading place for travelers and magicians." 

"So, even commoners can share trade secrets , like a bargin for magic tools?" 

"Something like that. Commoners and Magicians are co-existance for magic spells, items for their daily lives. 

It's a good thing we came here for reinforcements. " 

They arrived to a house as Emai asks, "Is this the place that Alix and Emily live? It's amazing." 

"Wait for you get inside, Ai. The inside is more chaotic than this." 

They went inside the house where there were the sisters arguing with their magic. 

"This should be down here!" 

"No here! " 

Emai ducked from flying objects as she had enough of the bickering as she accidentally unleashes her magic. 

"Enough!!!!" She yelled in her mind as both girls were shock of hearing the girl's voice in their mind. 

"Who are you?" 

"You're sisters for crying out loud! Don't use your magic for unexplainable purposes! Brandon and I sometime bicker but never used our magic that way. Geez, some legendary magicians you are." 

The girls were stunned as the group sat across from one another.  For a while, nobody was saying a word. 

Then Brandon punches Emai on the shoulder! "Ow, what I do?" She said. 

"That was using your powers without telling me. That wasn't part of the plan to reveal yourself like that." 

"Well, I have to do something to stop their bickering . Besides, it did as it should be, right? I guess I should properly introduce myself. 

I'm Emai Rose. But my birth name is Ai. You can call me either one. Brandon is my guardian , after all. He can tell you guys the truth of the Niners' disbandment. " 

"It's still amazes me that Brandon is your guardian. I thought that Brandon can't handle a child." Alix said in disbelief. 

"Yeah, considering of all the mishaps we have with him." Emily concurs. 

"Well, there is a reason of why the Niners have to disband. You're going to be shocked." Brandon said. 

He told them about Sophie and Kali's hidden relationship and that Emai was their daughter and asked that to hid her from Paultine.

"Whoa. I never knew that Sophie was pregnant all that time, and you were trusted with keeping Ai safe all these years. That's a lot to take in." Emily said, as to Emai rubbing her head, "I'm still trying to adjust that I'm a long-lost daughter to two powerful magicians. 

But Brandon turns out to be an strict instructor and sometimes his lessons are really hardcore to say the least." 

Alix breathes, "This is a lot to take in. Still, I'm amazed that Brandon kept this all a secret from us. It seems like the others would be in quite of shock. " 

"Mia and Felix, right? Have you heard from them, or know their whereabouts yet?" Brandon asks. 

"Not a clue. We haven't contact each other since Paultine was defeated." Alix explains, but Brandon and Ai looked dimmed by the mention of the dragon. 

"Wait, if you're here, does that mean that-" Emily said, as she looks at the duo's eyes, "Paultine isn't dead. He sent his goons to destroy the house. " 

Suddenly, a burst of screams were heard outside as the gang looked to see demonized humans attacking innocent people . 

"Awe com'on! " Brandon exclaimed. Ai didn't hesitant as a shot was coming towards them!

"Emai!" Emily cried as she makes a safe barrier to blocked out the attack, which made Brandon in shock. 

"What the heck! Ai, was that a -" 

"No time to explain. Brandon, take Emily and Alix to the ship, I'll handle this guy. " 

"But-" 

"Go!" 

They left her as she thought, "It seems like my Barrier Magic pulled off, thanks to Sally's advice. 

"Think of the Barrier with your mana. Make it so big and twice as strong so nothing like a fireblast would've break it. " 

Emai also channeled her auto-healing magic to use as to the injuries she had was gone . She managed to escape and defeat the goon to rejoin the group. 

The airship flew as Emai sigh in total relief that they escape. 

"I'm completely pooped . This is so hard of channeling my mana. " 

"Wait, what was that insane power you just pulled out?" Alix asked. 

"Well, I happened to use a Magic Barrier spell. It only works as a defensive spell, and I made the spell myself. " She explained to the group. 

"Also, Brandon, I hope you're not mad, but I rewrote the enchantments on my attire without telling you. Sorry. " 

"Oh, is that so? Well, is there any more surprises we should know about?" He asks. 

"One secret at a time. For now, let's just try to find the other members of the Niners. I just hope that we can find them and hopefully locate Sophie and Kali. They need a serious talk." Emily said. 

Meanwhile in a dark deep dungeon,  there were two prisoners , chained up in chairs , to not be able to escape. 

The two prisoners were no other than Sophie and Kali! They were captured by their enemy , and been his prisoners for nineteen years. 

They couldn't be able to use their powers either, because of the chains that had on them were enchanted, and can't be able to contact anyone from the outside world. 

Paultine seems to be pleased of their display. "This is quite an event. You can't be able to get your powers to help you escape. " 

Kali looks up as he finally spoke up to the dragon, "The Niners will come and save us. When they do, you'll regret it." 

"Oh? You honestly think that they'll know you've been my prisoners for nineteen years?!? They will be crushed , and nobody can stop me from destroying the world of Baia!" 

The dragon leaves them as Sophie said to him, "You honestly think the others would find us? We haven't been honest with them . " 

"About Ai? Yeah, you're right. I hope that Brandon had keeping her safe. " 

At the ship, Emai couldn't sleep as she was leaning on the balcony view, looking at the stars. As she thought that she was alone, she felt a tap on her shoulder. 

She turns around to see it was Alix. "Hey." 

"Hey. " She replied as Alix asks, "Couldn't sleep?" 

"No. I still was thinking . About how difficult it must've been for you and Emily. Finding out that one of your best friends had a daughter they didn't know existed." 

Alix chuckled, "Emai. It's going to be fine. I still couldn't believe that Kali and Sophie were actually a couple and you're their daughter that was kept in secret. 

It also great that you had Brandon as your older brother . I envy you. " 

The teen asks, "Why? I mean, you have a family you know your entire life, while I don't. Although, I wasn't honest with Brandon either." 

"What you mean?" She asks , confused of the teen's words. 

"When I discovered "The Legend of the Niners" , it kind of make me travel through time, when I was born. 

I saw not me as a baby being escorted away with Brandon, I also saw my parents fighting alone against Paultine without any of you." 

"That's sound like a reckless attack if you ask me. But I know your parents, they wouldn't do that without a plan. 

My best bet is that they were trying to make sure you got out safely by risking their lives . If I was in their shoes, I would've done that in a heartbeat to protect the people I love. " She advices her. 

The way that Alix said, it grew the girl's curiosity. 

"Don't worry so much, Ai. I'm sure if your parents see your magic, they'll be amazed at what you've become. " 

"Thanks, Alix. I am glad that I've met you as a friend. " She said. 

"Well, we still have to find the other members. I hope that Paultine wouldn't send any more goons after us. " Alix said. 

"Well, it could be worse than we expected. " Emai said.
