Yadhu's POV

"So what is your decision? "Shreya glared at me. She had managed to drag me out of my house with the help of my granddad.

I smiled, seeing her dominating character. She was tomboyish during our college days. Even after her marriage with Arjun, her bossy nature never changed. In my grief, I had even forgotten that she was my true friend who always lifted me when no one else noticed that I was down. The most important thing that I like about her is that she has a positive attitude towards life. Even in the worst situation, she will try to find the good in it and try to bring out the best in you.

"You didn't answer my question," She urged, breaking my chain of thoughts.

"Stop bullying him, Shrey. What will he do all alone in Munnar? It's a hill station and, for heaven's sake, a honeymoon destination...Our hospital there has nothing to do with a doctor like him because it just a small town. And I don't understand why you are chasing him away to a place where his services as a cardiac surgeon will be almost close to zero," Arjun expressed his concern to Shreya.

"What the hell, Arjun? FYI People in a small town also get sick. And I know Yadhu's specialization. We have opened a cardiac wing at our hospital there in Munnar. And Yadhu will be the head of the department there. Also, he can guide the doctors there as I'm making him the in charge of the hospital there," she snapped at her hubby.

"Wow...You cunning woman...I thought you are sending away Yadhu so that he will forget all the pain...but it seems like you are planning to make him forget himself. He will be immersed in work the whole time that he will forget everything, "Arjun taunted Shreya.

"Yadhu...Don't fall into her trap. Go away and free yourself from this evil woman's clutches. Trust me, she is dangerous," he said to me dramatically.

I chuckled, seeing his antics and the way he bickered with his wife. This is how a husband and wife should be...understanding each other. I suddenly felt a pang of envy seeing their love. I would never have a happy life like them.No...I didn't wish them ill or wanted them to end up like me. It was just a human instinct...the one that surfaces when you are deeply wounded. I sighed as the feeling of hurt and pain yet again clenched my heart.

"Just shut up, Arjun. And Yadhu...I'm serious right now. You need a change, and trust me, Munnar is a serene community. I want you to start over in a new place among new people. Don't worry...this is not permanent. Whenever you feel like you want to come back, I will transfer you here. And don't think that I'm unnecessarily interfering with your life, "she said thoughtfully.

"Shut up, Shreya...You are my family...You have every freedom to interfere in my life. I know you are thinking of my well-being right now. Trust me, I, too, need a change of environment. Here it is too toxic; I can't breathe, "I said rigidly.

"Yeah...I understood that my Shrey thinks of your well-being when she was about to slap Anjali in the court a week ago," Arjun giggled, remembering how Shreya had threatened Anjali and how Anjali shivered in fear.

A week ago

"So the divorce is finalized and granted because of irreconcilable differences between the two parties, Anjali's lawyer told me.

Though the divorce was of mutual consent, Anjali had accused me of being impotent, which irked Shreya and Arjun. Shreya was furious seeing Anjali and Harsh hand in hand at the court. I remained calm because I knew it was no use to defend them and say I was not impotent. I mean, what's the use. I was disgusted by Anjali after what she has put me through and wanted the divorce to be granted as soon as possible more than her.

"You bloody slut," Shreya yelled at Anjali as soon as we were out of the court.

"Excuse me...How dare you call me with such names," Anjali retorted.

"How dare I? How dare I? Bitch ...do you even realize that Yadhu is a doctor and he and us can prove in court that he is not impotent, and it would have ruined your plans of getting married to this shameless dog?" Shreya screamed.

"But it's good that you are no longer Yadhu's wife...Because only a cur and bitch can fuck each other. You two deserve each other, bloody fucktards," she cursed loudly, shocking Anjali and Harsh.

"Mind your language, Shreya, "Harsh angrily came towards Shreya while Arjun and I stood in front of her blocking his way.

"Move Yadhu and Arjun," Shreya shoved us to the sides and confronted Harsh.

"What if I don't?...does the truth hurt?... I don't want to see your ugly face, Harsh. Your face is as ugly as your heart. And keep this engraved in your mind Harsh. This whore fucked you when she was still married to Yadhu. So just be careful to keep a check on her. Because I don't think this disloyal wench will stop opening her legs to anyone with a dick, "she snapped.

"Youuu..."Anjali raised her hands to slap Shreya, but the latter caught her hand firmly and twisted it, making Anjali scream in pain.

"Don't ever try to act smart in front of me, you whore.Because if I turn psycho, I will do a live dissection on you.Got it, bitch...Stay away from Yadhu. You have hurt him enough. If you even try to break him again...just remember my words...I will dissect you both without giving any sedation," she threatened, raging in a fury.

Well, everyone familiar with Shreya knows that an angry Shreya is the most dangerous person in the world. She is someone who is even ready to give her life for her friend's sake. Tears clouded my vision, seeing her fight for me. She was indeed my family, who I had failed to notice...my sister who loves me and always stands up for me in my distress. I had always known that she will always remain a special part of my life no matter what.

Back to present

I knew that Shreya was looking out for me. She didn't want me to stay back here at a place where my ex-wife and Harsh are partying and announcing their engagement like nothing ever happened. Shreya has this unique ability to read me inside out. Her hubby Arjun also supports me though he is a bit sarcastic everywhere and gets scolded by his wife. These two friends were indeed a blessing to me. I now like to believe that God sent them to me because he knew that I would be alone and miserable in this world.

"How about the accommodation in Munnar? Will I have to arrange it, or will you provide me with one?" Shreya's eyes sparkled the moment I spoke those words.

"Yadhu...Did you just agree to go to Munnar? I can't believe it," she shrieked happily.

"And you don't have to worry about anything. I have already arranged your accommodation. You will be staying at my family's house. Don't worry; no one is there except for Smitha and Raja, "she stated.

"Who are they? I don't want to stay with anyone, Shrey," I protested.

"Smitha and Raja are the caretakers of my family house, and they stay in the outhouse, so don't worry about them. Smitha will cook food for you, and Raja will be your driver plus gardener," she explained.

"Shrey, I don't want to bother anyone," I said anxiously.

"No, you are not bothering anyone. I'm deducting their salary from yours," she smirked.

"See...she is Shylock...I asked you to run away from her. Now that you have knowingly fallen into her trap...enjoy your stay at Munnar. This miser wife of mine made me work...I mean made me attend the surgery during our honeymoon. All she can think of is either work or just how to run a business. It's all my fate," Arjun slapped his forehead and shared his misery.

"Did I ask you to come behind me begging to marry you? You were the one who was all lovey-dovey and claimed that you could not live without me. Now endure the result. Men are all the same. All the love vanishes after marriage. Now stop bugging me and go to the O.P," she gritted her teeth at Arjun, faking anger.

"Ok, Madam. Please don't go all pay cut on me. I have a family to look after. My wife is sick," he folded his hands before Shreya dramatically.

"And Yadhu, I will visit you often because I know you can't stay away from me for so long. Also, I heard that the chicks in Munnar are village beauties. So I will often come to visit them...I mean you," he hid his laughter and ran outside to his O.P while Shreya glared at him.

"Don't mind him. He is acting funny, "Shreya looked at me with a smile on her lips.

"Arjun loves you. Stop doing this to him. He is never going to leave you no matter what, "I said.

"That's precisely what I'm scared of the most. He loves me. But I do understand that he loves children, and I can't give him one. I'm trying my best to make him leave me and marry another woman. But he is stubborn," she sighed.

"Shrey, How stupid are you to talk of leaving him. We are doctors, and you are a gynecologist. If we don't have faith in our profession, then think of the general population. You both are still kids. You will have kids when the right time comes. It's never too late. And I know Arjun would never pester you for kids, nor will he abandon you. This is just a phase, and it will soon pass," I tried to console her knowing her pain.

"Wow ...that's a significant improvement...Here I was worried sick for you and was trying to comfort you ..., And now it turned out to be the other way around wherein my best buddy is consoling me," she chuckled at me.

"So when are you packing your bags?" she asked, coming to the point.

"Today...I desperately need a new beginning, Shylock," I walked out of her cabin before blowing her a kiss.
