At one point in my life, I tried to suppress my thoughts because "god can read minds" and I thought god would be disappointed with me if I didn't. : /

Thank god I don't have that mentality anymore. If that had continued until I figured out I was gay, it probably would've led to well, let's just say that that version of me might need serious therapy for self hatred-
