A show where quite frankly, everything isn't as happy as it seems.

  Toriel Dreemurr is one of the most popular mothers in gaming. One of the best ones too. When you first fall into the Underground, she offers you a safe home, bakes you a pie and shows you the basics of the game! That's very nice, right?? She warns you about Asgore, and even saves you from him!

No. That's not nice at all.

I have evidence that Toriel is slowly losing her mind. What evidence is that, you ask? Well my fellow theorists, it's been there since the very beginning!

You're main goal in the game is to reach the surface. But there are a few monsters that don't want you to escape. Toriel included.

"But Sansie~chan!" You pout. "Toriel doesn't want to kill you!"

Yeah, but she doesn't necessarily need to kill you to not let you escape.

Think about it. When you ask her details about how to escape from the Ruins, she gets uncomfortable. Then she attempts to destroy the exit to the Ruins so that you'll stay with her. Then if you refuse to accept that, she FIGHTS you.

Not to mention, she did the same things for the previous humans that fell down. She held them in the Ruins, against their will. And did you guys see the way she treats Asgore?? Brutal man, Brutal.

So Toriel is a kidnapper, who will hold children and adults alike captives for the rest of eternity. Not to mention the fact she left a suicidal and broken man to rule the kingdom alone. Think of that next time you cuddle with that Toriel plush you bought.
